Update From Hotone Podcast - September 30th: Ari (the community guy) is gonna show the Ampero II Stomp on the podcast October 14 (the podcast usually starts 4 PM CEST). - "...but I can assure you one thing: on October 14th, I'm going to be showing you the Ampero II,...here,..live. And we will do just the podcast for the Ampero II, where you can ask questions"... - "... after that it's going to be everywhere. That means the launch is gonna be within October". YAY! Also (from previous podcast) the price is gonna be under 500 dollars. My rant about the price: I was surprised so many people were guessing 600+ bucks. My guess (just for fun) is 450, because we have to consider, that they still have previous Ampero (370 bucks) to sell and when a layman compares both units, they may very well think "this one has one switch less and no expression pedal, why should I pay more for less"? There's simply gonna be a lot of people who don't care (or understand) the gear. They don't know (or undertand), that Stomp has better DSP, that you can set up parallel chains,... But maybe the Stomp isn't for them then. Maybe it's intended for different "applications". Who knows. I mean,...I'm buying it pretty much no matter what, because it has everything I want (like any other similar product). But it has the parallel chains (this is big for me) and it's friggin' small, which I love. But other than that, is it better than other similarly priced units on the market? I also wonder if the DSP will actually be able to handle the 12 FX blocks. The way I have it planned 10, or 11 will be occupied, so if it starts chocking with like 8 blocks I'm gonna be pretty disapointed. ...anyway, two weeks to the reveal, can't wait.
Interesting, I have Ampero MP-100 and I really enjoy some amplifiers there, but I need a parallel chain and have a Helix LT for this stuff. IF they will do this Advanced Stomp it will be great replacement (for table) with friendly management. Really want to have it!
Hello. I am an owner of an Ampero and am very interested in everything that HOTONE produces. In a little information exchange with Hotone they told me that the outputs are balanced, not XLR but balanced.

Thank you for another interesting movie. I cross out the Mooer GE150, 200, 250, because I lack more knobs to operate the effect and there is no touch screen (I had the GE200 and it annoyed me). It looks like I will be choosing between: - Hoton Ampero MP-100 - Hoton Ampero II Stomp - Line 6 Pod Go - Mooer GE300 Lite More expensive devices are absolutely out of the question. Which of the above devices would be the best choice for amateur metal playing in my own music room? I am not interested in footswitches, the number of effects, and I do not care about various additional functions useful for professional musicians. The only important thing is the quality of the amp simulations and comfortable operation with a large number of knobs.
Looks like you've got your work cut out to cover all these modelers. I'm still hanging in for the Quadcortex. BUT, a nice sounding and cheaper modeler would be nice as well ($200-$300USD). God bless and rock on 😎🎸👍

Hi Esteban, if you use short cable the difference is almost negligible. Furthermore you can use the usb connection, so you are not using cables at all. Thank you for your question!

Honestly based on Hotones pricing I would say that's very possible, they make great gear but also tend to underprice their competitors. They've essentially made a better Headrush Gigboard here and that runs $500, if Ampero undercut that they will crush everyone.

this is not a budget option, that Ampero stomp was introduced about a year ago and will probably never be released due to the fact that there is now Ampero 2 stomp. Also in the Ampero single-core Sharc DSP and Cortex as co-processor, in the Ampero 2 will be triple-core DSP.

Really looking for a small format good quality, board with balanced out. Mostly vintage fender type sounds is my preference - 60% bass 40% guitar use. Any recommendations Leo? I used to like the Zoom B3 and it's bassman sound - so looking for something like that but next generation sounds for guitar and bass...

I hope they don't release two of these, but just one, don't have sense to me any kinda of multi fx without fx loop to be honest, it's too stupid to not have a "simple" fx loop or even better, two with possibility digitally to use in parallel or series, it's too bad to any of these big companies not include this type of stuff on these units, and make another unity full of utilities that's not everyone that will use leaving behing just to the flagship selling the budget one without a simple fx loop, that for big companies don't cost too much to leave it there.

@@BigMetalDaddy1301 not yet, I was still waiting to hear if this product will be released. Every once in a while the patch names disappear off the pod go if I have it plugged in to my PC and there is a connection interrupted error. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my USB cable or the pod but I wouldn't expect that to happen. Rebooting the device fixes it. I am mainly just extremely irritated with the line 6 marketplace. Ever since that was released, not as many people are willing to share quality presets for free on their custom tone site. I can't see spending $5 per preset when I will have to tweak it anyway for my pickups and speakers.

this is not a budget option, that Ampero stomp was introduced about a year ago and will probably never be released due to the fact that there is now Ampero 2 stomp. Also in the Ampero single-core Sharc DSP and Cortex as co-processor, in the Ampero 2 will be triple-core DSP.

@@LeoGibsonGtr I suppose I could have a seperate DI in my bag for live work. Perhaps an HX stomp, although more expensive, might be better with its balanced out for my applications. Really looking for a small format good quality, board with balanced out. Mostly vintage fender type sounds is my preference - 60% bass 40% guitar use. Any recommendations Leo? I used to like the Zoom B3 and it's bassman sound - so looking for something like that but next generation sounds for guitar and bass...

I hope they don't release two of these, but just one, don't have sense to me any kinda of multi fx without fx loop to be honest, it's too stupid to not have a "simple" fx loop or even better, two with possibility digitally to use in parallel or series, it's too bad to any of these big companies not include this type of stuff on these units, and make another unity full of utilities that's not everyone that will use leaving behing just to the flagship selling the budget one without a simple fx loop, that for big companies don't cost too much to leave it there.

@@BigMetalDaddy1301 not yet, I was still waiting to hear if this product will be released. Every once in a while the patch names disappear off the pod go if I have it plugged in to my PC and there is a connection interrupted error. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my USB cable or the pod but I wouldn't expect that to happen. Rebooting the device fixes it. I am mainly just extremely irritated with the line 6 marketplace. Ever since that was released, not as many people are willing to share quality presets for free on their custom tone site. I can't see spending $5 per preset when I will have to tweak it anyway for my pickups and speakers.
