Thanks for the knots. Slight issue is that the end of your original ketch is not the end of the finished rope. If you don't believe me, put some tape around th end of the ketch, and see where it ends up. The end of the rope is pretty much the position of the last wrap around the ketch. If you want to be super accurate then take a ketch that is just big enough for the size of handle you want, so there is minimal cinching to do
Thanks for the excellent tutorial man was interested in starting ropeflow training just found out about it cos I do tonnes and I mean tonnes of jump rope ie nearly everyday since I started boxing like 15 years ago and I'm 22, didn't want to drop like 30-40 bucks on a rope and end up just preferring jump rope this way gonna order a 12mm nylon rope 5m for like 6 bucks and get started add it in with my regular jump rope training
looks very shitty quality rope, but anyways, it does the thing :) like everything, you can DIY cheap for low quality, or get a good one. Good quality rope will cost 10-20 $ per meter. This is a tool you want to spend time with, so I rather get a good one. You can use Nokia 3310, but everyone wants iPhone :)
@@littleredrocks7313 I'm not saying anything. I also encourage people to roll whatever they get hang on to. The towel or iPhone charging cord will work as well. only thing I want to say, that good quality things cost. I like high-end stuff, so I rather pay for nicely done things a bit extra, then to go cheap, spend my time trying to make something that I wont make it better either way :) You can make all your gym from stone and wood if you like to and it's super cool, but that's not something I would like to.
@@rokasmove I do own a gym and it is cool as fuck, and i like to have a rope to add to my training, but i do agree 65 bucks it expensive, i would rather invest that in a custom macebell. Certainly after the corona lock down shit, i can completely understand people going the diy way, david wecks rope is only $30,00, so thats already a price difference. Im not much into luxury myself, i aim to be as green as possible and reuse and swap. I think that's a way cooler way to live. And I do have a diy rope which is very nice quality. Allthough i love the color of your zen rope. But like i said price is very steep.
@@littleredrocks7313 agree, and is totally fine with me. Whatever anyone ones, they can choose it :) Wecks rope is a great rope, I just don't like duck tape on my things :D oh, and its 30$ + shipping. Octomoves do express shipping free in the EU. Originally I wanted Wecks rope, but the shipping cost to EU was 80$, so it made a totall 110$, which stood up double the price. And octomoves for international shipping is also free for orders above 135Eur, if nots, it's only 15 Eu for half a kilo package ;)
@@rokasmove yes all shipping from us to europe is crazy expensive. I buy a lot in eastern europe( i do travel there as wel for animal rescue work) and they are the opposite of that. Much prefer that.
Heaving line knot
I think it' s a stopper knot rather than a heaving line knot en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaving_line_knot
@@tobysaracannon8894 there are many kinds of stopper knots only one heaving line knot.
Thank you for sharing. My point as well, you can diy your own rope for the flow without spending much.
thanks , I followed your instructions and made my own rolling rope . Really good video.
can you link to a sample spec of the rope you are using? so we know what to buy? thanks!
Wow that is a good idea, DIY Octomove rope. You can also make a jump rope out of that also.
Thanks Dan, useful video.
