  • This is the most complex skill to learn so take your time in each step if necessary.
To start we will establish the pattern with empty hands first. Start with both hands on the right side of the body in a Propeller manner.
Step 1. Roll the circle with hands and cue yourself with saying loud ONE - ONE - ONE… Do about 8 reps.
Step 2. Both hands at the left side of the body. Both palms facing backward. “Slap” with your right hand that lefty will go behind the back toward the right side of the body. The right hand after “slap” also travels towards the right side. Do about 8 reps.
Step 3. Spread your arms apart. Don’t forget audible cueing for easier learning. Do about 8 reps.
Step 4. Grab your rope and hold only in the right hand. Repeat the previous three steps separately for 8 repetitions with audible cueing.
Step 5. Combine the previous 4 steps into one. While holding the rope with one hand perform all three-step sequence continuously.
Step 6. Hold the rope with both hands behind the back as you would be in the second step. Start rolling rope for 1 perfect Sneak repetition. It will sound: ONE - TWO - THREE - STOP. Repeat 8 or more repetitions.
Step 7. Eliminate STOP and roll it continuously. Accumulate a good amount of quality repetitions before learning non-dominant side Sneak.
Step 8. Learn the non-dominant side Sneak.

I was struggling to learn this move, even after watching many tutorials. Your tutorial was the turning point I needed.

Those backside views are super helpful. Almost couldn't tell from the front view that the right hand holding the rope is still pushing the left hand. "Sneaky"😅

@@Octomoves I am beginning to figure it out. I actually think I've got it down on one side, but I think some guidance would help it flow a little more smoothly. I'll keep playing with it!

You can go to the octomoves website to get their ropes. Weckmethod being cheeky promoting their own product on their competitor’s youtube channel ;)

@@Nurg1982 Weckmethod pioneered all of this work and has sold rope for many years. Who is selling whose product? It seems unclear to me.
To risk answering Juan's question: it's a 1/2" cloth rope about 8 feet long. You can go with lighter ropes (e.g., beaded ropes), but the mass of this diameter cloth rope is a bit more forgiving. You could make your own cloth rope, but I'd get it from one of these suppliers. If you're in Europe, I'd get it from Octomoves. If you're in NA, I'd get it from Weckmthod. If you're from elsewhere, I'd flip a coin.
I think it's great that there are two companies providing ropes and rotational training for the world. We need it! I like the new approaches that Octomoves is showing; it's simultaneously quite similar but very different. Rock on!
