    I recently caught on to rope flow. Some of the moves are similar to what I learned as a teenager when I practiced Arnis Stick Fighting. I like the graceful moves of ropeflow and it's so easy to use to keep fit and agile. Thanks for this informative tutorial. I'll work through your suggestions and get back to you. Peace and blessings to all.

      Thank you for your comment. It's interesting that you mention stick fighting, as rope flow is a movement practice with an inherently martial nature. Many patterns that can be practiced relate to a movement pattern involving the use of a weapon or your bodily weapons!
      Glad you found the video to be of use and I appreciate the feedback!

    I am a total beginner so thank you for the tips. What diameter rope is considered light? ...and what is considered medium or heavy?

    • @spiralflowropes
      @spiralflowropes  11 месяцев назад

      Hello thanks for your comment! Our 12mm Thunderbolt rope is the smallest diameter we offer and is perfect for beginners but is a great all round rope for all levels. If you're wanting to increase the challenge and load you can go for the 14mm rope once you've mastered the basic patterns.
      I hope that answers your question, if you have any more, please fire away!

    Question on the length of rope. If you're not planning on jumping through the rope, wouldn't it be better to shorten so it's not hitting the ground, or do you need it that long to do all the moves to go around your body and over your head?

    • @spiralflowropes
      @spiralflowropes  Год назад +6

      Yes so if the rope is made short so that it doesn't hit the floor, that is fine but some patterns may be harder to perform, such as the dragon roll, sneaks etc. because it will require greater mobility from the body to perform the patterns correctly. Therefore I recommend a happy medium - a slight contact with the floor! By all means though you a free to play around and practice with whichever length rope you like! Hope that helps

    How heavy would a rope on the heavy side be if someone wants to train for strength endurance?

    • @spiralflowropes
      @spiralflowropes  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for your comment! I'm not sure I fully understand your question, do you mean how heavy in grams should the rope be for strength endurance or weight rope out of the two types we sell are suitable for strength endurance?

    Hello,
    I've just been on your website, trying to figure out which rope to buy as a beginner, can you help ? Thanks !

    • @spiralflowropes
      @spiralflowropes  Год назад +2

      Hello Ada, thanks for your message. For a beginner I’d recommend the blue Thunderbolt rope as it’s a touch lighter than the red one. The lighter weight means it will be easier for you to focus on mastering the techniques of rope flow. Then when your body has become accustomed to it and you can take the resistance, you can progress to the red one which will offer a greater challenge! Hope that helps

    How long do you cut your ropes before that knots?

    • @spiralflowropes
      @spiralflowropes  Год назад +2

      I'd probably say about 4.2m of rope goes into the finished product and our ropes end up at 2.7m
