  • Traverse mountain passes with acclaimed singer/songwriter Bruce Cockburn as he returns to the spectacular Himalayan country of Nepal after twenty years away.
Bruce discovers a land where much has changed, with a Maoist government recently installed, women newly empowered and fresh initiatives to deal with the grinding poverty of the majority of the Nepali people. But it's also a land where, in some of the remotest areas, life is lived much in the way it has for centuries - salt caravans, subsistence farming on steep mountain terraces and off-the-grid villages connected by an ancient network of footpaths.
Return to Nepal is a revealing glimpse at a corner of the world we know little about, but whose people have much to offer us: spiritual wisdom, tactics for survival in a tough land and shining examples of interdependence and determination.

This is wonderful on many levels. And kudos to Bruce for making the effort to learn that song--it's just beautiful! To learn it while in the middle of this adventure seems to have taken both his musical genius and an act of real reaching out and connecting, an act of love. So inspiring. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! USC Canada was the former name of the development NGO that is now called Seed Change. See website at weseedchange.org. They continue to do great work collaborating with farmers around the world to create healthy, just and sustainable food.
