The fact that Pogi didn't celebrate till he crossed the line speak volume. He knows every second can still count. I also like that he didn't do his usual 1000W beam smile. He looks focus and aggressive.

Still too early to predict the winner. If I remember correctly Jonas cracked in the early mountain stage as well last year and he ended up riding into form in the latter stages.
Did you not see the team of climbers UAE brought to this race? In the alps they're gonna ride everyone into pain... Today wasn't about Pogi, more about the team UAE has to control the climbs.. When pogi attacks, JV will come along, but his legs will be gone just like today showed..
Last year Jonas dropped Pogi on the first mountain stage.

Yes, too early to predict, but this was Pogacar's biggest success in the last couple years. His team here was stronger than they have been since 2021 and really were invaluable in delivering this win. They victimized the other GC contenders just like Jumbo-Visma victimized him on a huge stage a couple years ago. Such fun racing.
Way too early. Anything can happen. Last year, Pogacar went super hard in the first week, then had some terrible days in the second week. If Vingegaard can limit his losses this week, he'll have a real shot next week.
That was impressive by Pog. I love some mountain stages early in the tour instead of the monotony of bunch sprints that usually take place.

Pogi has the team team this year, and they just proved that today up that climb. Last year he was out numbered and cracked. That being said we will see how he does in the last week of the Tour as that is where the race is going to be won, and will see if the 3 week Giro will takes its toll. I must also mention, this is very well a TDF that Remco can win because of the TT's, especially the one on the very last day. If Remco can be within a 1-2min of Yellow then the other guys will be in trouble in the final TT. Watch Remco in the TT on Friday.
Glad Remco is riding the tour im a big fan. I still see him dropping in the last week though but thats normal

Uae team this year is full of climbers, this is just the start of the pain they will be looking to put on team. Jonas gonna have a hard time dealing woth this UAE team

On the all-time list, Jonas is 159, Tadej 24, just an indication of the real value of the achievements so far.
So, it only counts when Jonas crashes because my crash was worse than yours! And let’s not forget the classic excuse that Pog has a better team. Apparently, it only counts when Pog has a better supporting team and not Jonas-like in 2022, when Jonas had an entourage worthy of a royal procession. The Tour isn’t over, and there’s plenty of racing left, but the last hope for the Danish anchovy enthusiasts is the scorching temps and the time trial. We’ll see how that pans out. In the meantime, go ahead and indulge in mountains of smørrebrød and wash it all down with copious amounts of Tuborg-that should definitely help dull the pain of reality.
