Thanks for disqualifying Philipsen in this stage. He did this too often. More of this, because he has to learn to toe the line, because it's not the first time.
about time JP gets a DQ for his dangerous sprinting. You can just feel the exasperation on Van Aert's Face and it isn't the first time has dealt with this.
@@mocha-6957 people underestimate the swearing bullying cursing elbow throwing pushing the rules to the limit of sprints. some of the all time greats from history were violent sprinters. imo the rules need to better define the word lane, clarify how two riders lanes cancel or shrink the lane of another rider, and clarify the rights of a rider against the barriers.
@@mocha-6957 Just "that mistake" was the tip of iceberg. He's been pushing people into the barriers even since then. He literally shoulder-charged Welsford into oblivion in my home race just 2 months ago, before the sprint even started.
Philipsen DQ was a bit surprising to me - not because he didn’t deserve it but because he’s got away with far worse deviation in the past. Jayco did a great job getting Dylan in position and his launch off the wheels was very impressive. Bini looking good in green - hope he can keep it all the way to Nice.
@lindsaynewell6319 There were a lot of complaints about Jasper's dangerous sprinting last year, which has probably lead to better enforcement of the rules this year. After seeing Jasper's response to the complaints last year, it seems clear that he will not consistently sprint safely unless that is the only way for him to win.
@@ChiTownBrownie89 Isn't it currently disqualified? That is, eliminated from the tour? It's just a doubt, if someone could explain JP's status to me, I would appreciate it
Omg Jasper come on man... He is really good but he always end up doing this things... Poor Van Aert, he would not win but end the stage like that must be so frustrating... JASPER JUST A STRAIGHT LINE MAN, IT CAN'T BE DIFFICULT FOR A PROFESSIONAL CYCLIST.
2:47 Pogačar went with them calmly but the entire UAE was cut off. Vingegaard and Visma put their chests to the wind but Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe and INEOS did not have the courage to help. Roglič and Carlos Rodríguez get rid of Ayuso and Almeida as enemies, but I don't know where Remco was going.
For people reading this review, it's okay, it's normal to feel lonely sometimes, if you're going through tough times, keep trying, but never give up, I wish you great success in your health, love, and happiness!
What was going on in this race? They went double speed slower than usual. Still around 13km before the finish, they pedaled 40 / 45 km/h. Which usually tends to be around 60 or more so close to the finish and fighting for positions of sprinters. They somehow had chill. I am just curious because this was really unusual for professional cycling. Thanks TDF team for this highlight!
Having teammates around you can ensure you’re protected from the wind to help preserve you’re energy, Other teammates can also provide additional gels and water, They can also protect you from being forced to slow down or deviate from your line allowing opponents to get further up the road, The list goes on - you need teammates
I seem to remember a stage to or from Mont-Saint-Michel that involved a split of the peloton. This was in doper armstrongs days. Jasper seems to weave a lot during a sprint. As do some others. Mads did it two days ago. Those glasses. Seriously. Those glasses are something else
I wonder if Wout hates Jasper's guts at this point because this is not the first time Jasper tried driving him into the rails. Its happened before that too the very same way where he tried to corner Wout into the rails on the right.
Cycling isn't all about victory, it is also entertainment! This guy has been blocking sprinters on many grand tour stages! So, now the whole world knows who Jasper BLOCKER Philipsen is!! Good luck Bini!!🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
Can't believe how sports are turning into competitions for " big girls blouses " .. what happened to courage / fear / danger being part of the spectacle in sport.!! Becoming bland , the difference between a rider being clear to move over to the rails & being relegated to last place is so small it's crazy . One second delay would have given him the right to move over, you can't punish people in sport so harshly for such tight decisions . I'm not a fan of his or the team's but it's to harsh. Lot of Sports will be a thing of the past if we carry on with this attitude of dumbing down danger. Where does it stop, each generation is getting worse & complain about more . Fear / danger / chance of crash is "mostly" what makes sprint finish exciting , take that away you don't have much.
What a boring stage. The tour really needs to find some way to incentivize breakaways on flat stages like this. I know breaks are unlikely to work on these stages but without them it makes the viewing experience so much worse. Maybe they can add or increase the monetary prize for the combativity award as well as promising teams and sponsors to highlight the winner more during the next race. Currently flat stages are almost unwatchable besides the 2 sprints.
In the Giro there are separate competitions for intermediate sprints and how many kms you spend in breakaways over the 3 weeks. The Tour could also use something like that!
So happy Philipsen didn’t win as he pushed van Aert towards the fences again!

Yeah! Cav has space yesterday but Philipsen forced his way to follow Cav’s wheel.

Thanks for disqualifying Philipsen in this stage. He did this too often. More of this, because he has to learn to toe the line, because it's not the first time.
I swear he caused the crash yesterday too!
He doesn't have many friends. And rightly so.
Wether you like him or not you can only hope this will turn his bad habits down a bit
He did it to Wout again.. just like last year
Can you explain what he did? Not familiar with the rules.

Philipsen too busy trying to push Van Aert into the wall instead of sprinting to the line.
