At 1:37, the step "Tap L1 to lower and R1 to raise, While continually keeping all buttons pressed"
When I press R1 to raise it, only the floor raises (not the wall) and it turns red because it's bumping into the wall.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The technique is the reverse foundation merge. Instead of merging item into the foundation, you float the item. The wall should be moving with the foundation when you raise it. When it goes red it's most likely you don't have the other foundation completely out of your view. It should be to your back. Sometimes you have to find a sweet spot to grab the foundation to do the reverse merge. I hope this helps or you managed to work it out since you commented.
