As somebody who uses a P 28 curve, I do agree it is hard to get used at first because the pox go flying no matter what but it makes it even better. Once you learn to control the puck in your shots you’ll be able to aim it and get it top bunk anytime you want to.
Been using a p92 my entire life. Switched to the 28 and honestly really love it. I do seem to lift the puck up much easier and quicker with it. You really don’t have to put much pressure on the stick to raise it. It’s much better for closer to the net, but I’ve found the p92 is especially nice for longer distance shooting
With the P28, you have to shoot the puck back further in your stance, not much just a few inches, which will give you more power, and a quicker release.
I just picked up a p88 geo coming from a p92 flylite and I love it, took me a couple praccys to get my shot and hands back but the sauce is spectacular. IMHO
Lmao I have I p88 and it don’t work for me. Passing and clappers feel awesome, but i can’t get any good wristers, and I rarely us my backhand for shooting or passing, aka the p88’s big advantage. I’d much rather have a p29 and a p28 for good wristers, and maybe I won’t lose the puck on all my toe drags
Tried out a p88 and it was ok, Bauer lists it as a lie 6 but it’s simply not true. Compared to a p92 where I can dangle in tight with ease, the p88 trying to stick handle in tight the puck goes under my heel sometimes and I have to play with my stick out in front of me more. P92 all day
Gotta test a P90TM, by far my favorite curve went from a P29/92 to it and will never go back. It’s basically a blend of P29/92 and P28 but way way better then both in my option.
The P90TM is just a max height Benn pro curve which is a super sick curve with the toe kink. Super awesome that CCM brought it to retail. Not anything like a P92/P28 hybrid however, it’s more like a tiny bit bigger P92 with a toe kink
@@BauerBorn hmmm I don’t think you’ve ever used it or seen it then because it’s actually 100% a hybrid of both, described as much, has design features of both, has a flat bottom which neither have, has a different lie then either of them and it’s not max height either, it’s the highest option CCM offers.
I've been playing all my life w/ P92. I purchased a Bauer Hyperlite P28, and -surprisingly- it felt better than P92 right from the start. Passing, receiving, saucer pass, wrist shot were each easier. Slap shot tended to remain either low or going to the stars, but that has become better.
I have both but tend to stick with the P28. Multiple aspects to the comparison, and although this is 10min, the video doesn't get to those points. It's important to note that for a proper use of the P28, the wrist shot technique must be different, with no roll off heel-to-toe and the top hand more in front and more aggressive stance when loading. The P92 is a better do-it-all, clear winner for clean saucer passes (tougher on the P28), backhand shots and backhand saucers. For the rest, the P28 is really something when shooting
I used the p28 for a long time but i found that having more curve means the blade cups the puck more and gives me less pop than when i use the p92- the flatter toe lets the stick do more of what its supposed to than just me.
P14 curve all the way. I got a pretty good shot and my problem was aggressive curves with lots of rise. 14 is a lot more flat which with that also is massively beneficial for back hands
If I had the ability to play hockey I would, but there's no rinks anywhere near me😂😭; On another note, glad to say I can always watch Nasher and have my love for hockey increased by a lot every time I watch your videos, keep grinding dude!
I may have to switch to the P92, like you said the P28 rises the shots. My first shot of the year in dek in warmies, I put the ball 3 feet over the net, and my blades are P28
Honestly been using the p28 and I came from the old p91/staal heal curve… I’ve recently tried the p92 an p15 (similar to p91) and my shot is so far off lol…. I love the 28 personally, and I’m a defenseman
I've been using the CCM Jetspeed series P29 Crosby curve mostly because I could have a quick release of my shots, but I switched it up with the CCM Ribcor 76K P28 McDavid curve, just mostly for how well I could stick handle, so now I'm using the P28 curve.
I watch this video a couple months ago and I’ve done some research. So the P 28 was originally created by Easton as the E 28 and is a dual lie curve. It’s made to accept passes straight up but when you shoot you’re supposed to lean forward with your body and stick to get accurate shots off and then up close to the net you can take shots standing straight.
I used to use the P28, it's hard to get shots down for sure. I switched to the P92 and have been on it for a while now. I used the Kane/P88 for just about my whole life haha
I think RUclips reads minds. Funny this video popped up. I just picked up my first P28 after using the P92 exclusively. Playing in a no-check no-slap shot league, I was looking for something to stick handle and go high. (all the goalies go down so much these days)
i used ccm p29 my whole life and when i switched to a p28 last season i noticed how much more the puck would lift up on me, my stickhanding also improved significantly
I use a P88. I’m new to hockey, and I settled on it because it was in stock at the right length in the Pro Blackout Ultralight on Hockey Stick Man (I’m 6’3”, so I need a 64” stick). I’m still learning to shoot. I only just figured out how to get lift on the puck, so I have no idea if the curve is any good for me.
ya i use a p28 and i love it. the only problem tho, is it raises the puck quite easily if im not careful. but i've gotten pretty used to it so now i am a lot better with aim. u definitely have to get used to them.
Same bro! Gotta go custom or there is some pro stock out there. Ccm equivalent is p50. I picked up two off sideline swap because they’re not easy to find. Cheers 🍻
P28 creates more of a pocket to cradle the puck in, like a lacrosse stick. Great for stick handling in tight. Throw it on an as4 pro or nexus geo and it’ll rip
Try cutting it a bit shorter, so it's easier to get the weight on the toe when you bring it close to the body. Also helps with stickhandling with the bigger hook.
I was using the p40 Hossa for a while, I stopped playing for 7years, and had to look for a new curve. I got the p88 currently thinking bout switching to p28. Any recommendations on that?
You'll win more faceoffs with the p92, toe drags are deadly with the p28 though. Overall puck control and backhands are easier with the p92 in my opinion. Forehand shot deception with the p28 is probably better. Gonna order a couple more p92's right now as I just broke one.
Hi, in my personal opinion the best curve ever was P08 from bauer, best shooting curve ever a shoot with, dont know why bauer stop using it 🙈 playing with P08 since 2013, always watching for some stick to buy or pro Stock.
Which curve do you use and why?👇🏼
P88 personally the toe makes it easier to snipe
P88 causes it’s the best
P28 cuz round toe
I have p88
p92 because of the snipes
As somebody who uses a P 28 curve, I do agree it is hard to get used at first because the pox go flying no matter what but it makes it even better. Once you learn to control the puck in your shots you’ll be able to aim it and get it top bunk anytime you want to.

Hes pretty good honestly!

Nasher, you have to do an on ice video with the P88...I'd be super curious how your shots would come off with it
I just picked up a p88 geo coming from a p92 flylite and I love it, took me a couple praccys to get my shot and hands back but the sauce is spectacular. IMHO

Went to my local pro shop and they told me Bauer is discontinuing the p88. Super bummed. Really loved the backhand control on it.

Prolly not gonna happen he’s sponsored by Bauer and more then likely wouldn’t use any other stick company
p29 is a crosby but with ccm 😑 and p92 is a crosby for bauer so it’s literally the same curve

yea p88 is too flat for my preference i use a w71 which is crazier than even the p28
I just recently started using the p28 and it was a bit wild at first but once I got used to it, I really enjoy it

W71 for the dangles and the shot
P14 curve all the way. I got a pretty good shot and my problem was aggressive curves with lots of rise. 14 is a lot more flat which with that also is massively beneficial for back hands
I find my backhand is crappier with a modified P14 vs a P28 or P92 but I have better forehand accuracy with the P14.
I’ve been using P28 for the last 3 years and just got 2 nexus advs today with P92 and it’s so nice

Hey Nasher, try a 91a for roller. It’s an old school curve that absolutely sends it for roller.
I love clappers with the p28
Do the p88 vs p28
I like the P28 because of its toe drag and snap shot power. I love technical stickhandling with it, too.
