Informative vid. I cud t find a store near me with a p90 curve. I’m a stamkos guy, and recently bought ft3 pro P28, and boy it was so different. I had pucks literally sliding under my toe when reaching out or controlling pucks away from my body. I had to hold the stick so much more upright than what I’m used to with the stammer. I don’t see the stammer curves around as much anymore so hopefully this Tavares helps out a bit. Thanks
It’s a very good stick, despite I broke it last night but the stick is very good for shooting both wrist shot and slappers, I’d get very good puck control aswell
Nice video. The P 90 TM is very similar to the curve. Nathan McKinnon was using when he was using the CCM rib core stick. I had a pro stock model, and it was pretty close to the P 90 TM, very flat throughout, and then a nice big tow curve, I noticed that I was able to control the pocket, had better stickhandling and then when I wanted to get it on the toe and go top cheese, I was able to with relative ease.
Hockey Reviews to me the optics of the toe hook look similar to the p28. I’ll try and shoot with both as pro hockey life has a place where you’re able to test sticks
ive always struggled with the shootability of the p29 and the better stickhandling and toe drags of the p28 (for me). combined with the fact that the p28 FT2 was my favorite stick,i have to say this might be the perfect stick for me. cool demonstration on the bit about the lie. thanks for putting out the video
So one thing to be cautious about, I found the P90TM to shoot basically the same as the P29. So if you struggled with shooting the P29 perhaps this won't be the curve for you.
Hockey Reviews sorry that was worded incorrectly I mean that I struggle with choosing the better shoot ability of the p29 but worse stock handling- I stick handle better with the p28. So I meant to say I have trouble choosing between the two which I why I think this curve will be great for me
@@tylerboyd6247 I haven't bought a player stick in years so really wasn't sure. I honestly thought the P45 was a "standard" curve that would the type that always sticks around but I guess not. Oh well :)

I've never had a ccm stick before, but I am looking to get the jetspeed ft3 pro stick, what curve do you think is the best? I was thinking of getting a p29 or p90tm
The bigger the toe generally the easier it is for stick handling. P28 is more aggressive for shooting so it is harder to keep shots low and for hard passes. P29 is basically easier for accuracy and passing. P90TM tries to take the positive for both.
I love the p88 for stick handling and catching passes but hate it for shooting. I shoot the p29 better but can’t stick handle as well given the lie/rocker of the stick. Would the P90TM be kind of a middle ground?
Just a comment about what you sorta quipped about what, if anything, CCM offered in a max blade for pro stock: I have some FT2’s in p90M and a p19M, and the p19 max is even taller than the p90 max, as well as max blades I have in both Bauer and Warrior. I mean, the thing is just massive.
I have a question that IDK if you or anyone can answer. Does anyone make a true Leon Draisaitl blade? I don't mean just the curve but everyone says what a massive paddle he plays with. Does anyone make it to that size?
Hockey stick man has that pro stock curve. In case you're still alive and looking for one 4 years later. My buddy got one and it's the longest blade I've ever seen
Came here to say this. Can't believe it wasn't mentioned in the video. This curve has been popular with pros over the last few years. It's a great pattern. While the feel of it is like a 92/28 hybrid the curve is literally the 92 with a kink at the toe. The semi max blade height is an added bonus. Lots of pro stock out there with this curve (and available on Bauer customizer) - Benn Pro
@@HockeyReviews I have both the Benn and P90TM curves from Bauer and they are most definitely not the same. The Benn is more of a mid curve and the P90TM is more of a toe curve. They are pretty similar though. I felt like they stickhandled very similarly. Forehand wrist shots were similar. Backhand shots are different. I'm too used to P92/Benn, so my backhand shot was messed up when I tried to use the P90TM. But since the P90TM has less curve, it should theoretically be better on backhands, once I have time to practice with it more.
It really feels like I’m the only one left using p88 lol
Only the GOATs still use the P88. Kids these days can’t raise the puck without a banana curve and they don’t know what a backhand is

I wish the W10 Gionta would come back. It was a nice closed toe curve
I ALWAYS break my ccm sticks on the black where it goes thinnest on the p29. So I'm looking forward to hopefully a little more durability on the p90tm
I'd love to try the ccm jetspeed ft3 pro

i actually bought a trigger 4 with a P90TM curve and it totally flew over my head that its a new curve. thought it was just the P92 for some reason
great vid. I use p28 exclusively but will give the p90 a go
I would say that the transition from the P28 to P90TM will be greater than the P29 which I use. Just a forewarning.

Interesting they made a new Tavares curve. I’ve been using the CCM Tavares curve for years when his name was on the P45. Are they still making a P45?
P45 is not in the catalogue so I ma going to say no.

Getting a new stick. Should I get a p29 or a p90TM
Totally personal preference and you have to figure out what you'd want more. If you want more toe and want it easier to shoot high go with the 90TM
Thank you

Not really, the P90TM is a mix between the P28 and P29, not the P88.

While I agree, if I had the choice between the P29Max and this... after using this one I would probably take the P90TM.
