Seabrook had a lot of back problems. He didn’t get surgery until the end of his career to avoid missing his prime. He said he couldn’t even bend down to tie his kids shoes. It makes sense that he wouldn’t want his hand sliding down his stick to avoid pain
Sea room was a defenseman. He wasn’t a stick handler and like you said, the slap shots. I also thought about how that would be useful for poke checking so that you use as much of the length of the stick as possible
One of my friends from hockey came to our practice with his qr edge fully wrapped in black tape and none of the original stick was still visible. We had no idea how he was going to play but when i felt it, it was actually pretty light.
Let's go Nasher keep up the amazing work I have been watching for a couple years and you have helped bye making my bad moments into good moments thanks for all the help Thanks Aiden.

I switched to the panarin style a while back and I love it. I go with a strip of think black tape tho. A little more blade coverage I also throw strip on the back for the occasional backhand
10:03 Bear in mind Brent Seabrook was a defenseman. So, he probably didn't want his top hand sliding if he was poke checking someone or trying to move the puck out of the zone :)
I played D and I didn't tape my stick other than maybe just a little at the knob. I had more feed back and feel from the blade of my stick with out. Great video.
Watching this video made me tape my stick like paranain,s. When I watch his videos it makes makes me a better hockey player. You inspired me to play roller hockey. Keep it up.
That’s the whole point of the rib on it. It’s giving you a lot more power and control without as much effort when you’re moving the stick with one hand. I’m assuming it’s even more helpful if you play weak hand high.
When I used to play, I used to put a tiny strip of plastic pad tape at the bottom to help with durability, I feel like that could be the key to the artemi panarin stick being worthwhile.
on the 4th tj i honestly have the same without knowing that’s an actual tj. i do kinda like it because if i drop my stick it’s pretty easy to grab it, plus i hit bar down a lot with it
The Brent seabrook one you’re holding it wrong. You’re supposed to place the rib between your index and middle finger. It’s giving you a lot more grip and control without as much effort when you only have one hand on the stick.
Love the vid Nasher. One thing about the mark stone knob is that he uses a variety of tapes, from grip and trainers tape which makes it a softer girly feel, and he does it all based on feel. Marc Savars, MSavvy91 who does tape jobs of nhlers, and he has done stones and other guys on RUclips.
I think Stones tape job is for poke checks , kind of like how goalies have the nob on the top of the stick. So like when he swings the stick out for a poke check it doesn't fly out of his hand.
If you like the grip of the Kessel do the candy cane with half of the wideness of the tape roll (like the thickness of the top of the Pasta knob). What I use for candy cane
Love your videos Nasher! Wanted to know if anyone is using a setup like mine: blade is a standard heel to toe, full wrap. But on butt end I use that cloth medical tape that you might get to hold the bandage in place when you give blood. I like it because it is gives a little bit of cushion with the grip. Lots of color options. Downside is that the dye bleeds onto the palms of your gloves, so use white tape if you want your gloves looking clean.
I normally go with a full heel to toe but I might have to try the Pastrnak... I might end up having a bit of a bias with it since I'm a Bruins fan but you never know
I have a trigger 5 pro and I use lizard skins at the top and then tape the bottom heel to toe white with a bit of the toe open then take a chipped puck and rub it on the bottom half of the blade
And good on nasher for pointing this out, about the weakened durability on the panarin and pasta tape jobs. I have a girl on the team I work for who went through a batch and a half of sticks, so like 9 sticks because her blades would break because there is no tape on the majority of the blade
definitely the weirdest one i’ve ever seen was what i call the “ball hockey” tape job… it’s literally one piece of tape placed horizontally on the blade. im not gonna lie- the first time i tried it i was blown away by how fast the stick handling is with less drag on the bottom of the blade. i actually switched my tape of preference to a similar variation of this- i added a few strips at the top and pulled it around to the back for no toe, so it’s kind of like a normal no toe but with the tape going the opposite direction, lol. i love it, even though i’m not the best with my stick
Just a total guess here, but I'm wondering if Seabrooke's extension is supposed to help him maintain top grip stability while pokechecking or backchecking since he's a D-man. Also, interestingly, just based on a quick google image search it looks like Amanda Kessel uses the same tape job as her brother.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THE SEABROOK for years i've felt like such an outcast, i do a knob on top and do another slightly smaller one just underneath my hand
Tape job time stamps
Mark Stone- 0:25
David Pastrnak- 3:48
Phil Kessel- 6:28
Brent Seabrook- 9:38
Artemi Panarin- 12:19
Thanks
Thx man
Nice

Stone has the weirdest knob, but Pasta without a doubt has the weirdest blade. I use the Panarin tape job for roller, and the feel is great.

Nasher it doesn’t matter what stick tape you have you are goated no matter what
Thx very much Nasher
Extremely love the content!!! Stay safe and stay healthy buddy! (: 💯🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I kinda like the Seabrook. I'd think it helps with poke checks and playing defensively.
That’s the whole point of the rib on it. It’s giving you a lot more power and control without as much effort when you’re moving the stick with one hand. I’m assuming it’s even more helpful if you play weak hand high.
I use the Panarin blade tape job with the Pasta shaft tape job in games
Keep it up Nasher I want to see more of this it is fun to watch
You are the best RUclipsrNasher
Holy Nasher you're actually cracked at ice hockey
Love the irl hockey stuff man.
nasher keep the content coming love it never regret subscribing
ok great vid Nasher, as always. so you know just wondering, when are you going to test the goalie sticks?
“This went from the hyper lite to the hyper heavy” great joke Nasher.
Can’t do this vid without the Tim stutzle tape job lmaoooo
Nasher rules!!!🏒🏒🏒🏒
Been watching you since you first started and I’m still so interested in theese vids keep up the good work man🤘🏻🤘🏻🥇
That clap bomb was so funny idk why😂
I’ve been waiting for this viild

I'd like you to try the Brayden Point. His handle/knob is wild.
Hey nasher! i love your videos dude!

you're missing the fiala no tape on the bottom tape job. he uses a knife to cut the tape off the bottom entirely
Hey nasher, love the vids you made me interested in hockey keep up the good work!
I think Stones tape job is for poke checks , kind of like how goalies have the nob on the top of the stick. So like when he swings the stick out for a poke check it doesn't fly out of his hand.
Nasher you should make a video where you test out sticks with different types of tape e.g stick tape, scotch tape, masking tape...
If you like the grip of the Kessel do the candy cane with half of the wideness of the tape roll (like the thickness of the top of the Pasta knob). What I use for candy cane

I used candy cane at one point, and I always enjoyed how it improved grip, besides looking cool.
Hey Nasher, all of my friends can snap and rip shots into the net while I have a weaker shot. Do you have any tips for a stronger shot?
You gonna stream on twitch?
I normally go with a full heel to toe but I might have to try the Pastrnak... I might end up having a bit of a bias with it since I'm a Bruins fan but you never know
Jamie Benn's is crazy, it's how I identify him on the ice if I can't see his number.
Kids instructor tought him how to stick handle today 🤣🤣🤣
Nasher you should check out Samuel Girard's rolled tape on the shaft if you do a pt 2
Love the videos so entertaining
The Battery is that the one up by Costco? Because I think I have played there😅
I have a trigger 5 pro and I use lizard skins at the top and then tape the bottom heel to toe white with a bit of the toe open then take a chipped puck and rub it on the bottom half of the blade
Jamie Benn and Erik Cole was special. The top hand of Emelin too

your blade gonna be gone so fast
how many sets of the carbonlite steel have ya gone through and be honest
Now that is different
Neat to see them all
Love the vids. So I'm thinking of mixing the panarin blade and the pasta shaft. thoughts?
U gotta try kucherov’s, I’ve been using it for a while now
Should do a part 2 cause definitely one you need to try in Sam Girards tape job
Samuel Girard Colorado Avalanche has a really interesting tape job you should check out
Love the vids
NASHER are you going to the wish cup in hendersonville tn
You gotta do Arthur Kaliyev of the Kings. His blade is jank as hell.
You ahould do one with legends tape jobs: Gretzky, messier, McDavid etc.
I love your videos
Try the Zach Bell and use clear tape on the blade instead of regular tape
Is your Columbus heat team going to wish cup in Nashville next weekend?
Just a total guess here, but I'm wondering if Seabrooke's extension is supposed to help him maintain top grip stability while pokechecking or backchecking since he's a D-man.
Also, interestingly, just based on a quick google image search it looks like Amanda Kessel uses the same tape job as her brother.
I was just wondering the same thing about Seabs' setup. Also might consider boardplay to be factor.
@@TheIncredibleJew Or even crease/net front play, with all the hacking that goes on there
The mark stone knob is actually foam that he sticks on and tapes over I have it too
Part 2 Pasternak and stone together would be unstoppable
You should use the pasta candy cane with the panarin blade tape job
The effect at 0:23 was sick😳
such a baby!!!!
we used all wood sticks and were able to dangle and snipe
No joke used to have the candy cane a full stick candy cane
Can you believe how good he is he has been practicing for only 6 months Iykyk
I use that kind of knob like mark stone and its pretty good
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THE SEABROOK for years i've felt like such an outcast, i do a knob on top and do another slightly smaller one just underneath my hand
You should do part 2 with the tape job of kaliyev/fiala etc etc
I haven’t started it yet, but I hope you do the Alexander Kerfoot tape job.
NASHER LOVE YOU BRO
can you do this with goalies?
How did you make the sword one
Can you make a vid on how you made all of them
Waxing the edges of the candy cane helps with it peeling and rolling up. Pro tip I learned from Montour.
nasher love your videos
This look so funny can't wait to watch this
I do the candy cane like Pastrnak and a little toe at the bottom
I love your videos dude
