- Join us as we take a closer look at the Swedish built Saab 2000 aircraft, also known as Concordino, a remarkable turboprop plane with impressive capabilities. We explore its history, from its maiden flight in 1992 to its commercial and military use worldwide. I Equipped with two powerful Rolls-Royce AE 2100 turboprop engines, each producing around 3096 kW per side, the Saab 2000 boasts a maximum speed of 370 knots and can cover up to 2,800 kilometers on a single flight. Despite its discontinuation in 1999, the Saab 2000 remains a beloved aircraft in aviation history, with a third of the 63 units produced still in active service today.

That's a really cool fact about the Saab 2000! With that kind of power and efficiency, it's no wonder the aircraft is a popular choice for regional airlines. Plus, the sleek design of the lightweight propeller is definitely a sight to behold.
Schade dass die Saab 2000 immer seltener wird. Früher bei Darwin und Etihad Regional und natürlich auch Skywork hat man sie noch sehr häufig gesehen und brachten etwas Abwechslung in die Amada der Düsenjets. Toll gemachtes Video!
