Marco started being those who once hated him, their favorite character once Isayama killed him off. The way he died was cruel, betrayed by the ones he thought of as friends, maybe family even. He had trusted Bertolt, Reiner, and Annie, and they were the last ones he saw. not knowing if they felt bad for what they did or not. He was left to die alone, he never saw Eren, Armin, Jean, and everyone else again. He never got to see the scouts following victories, He would never see the ocean, the land of sand and ice. Marco dreamed of a better place and he will never see it one day come true. He wanted nothing but a good future for everyone, but yet he wasn't a popular character and was killed off because of it. The scene where they showed Marco, it was like him turning and saying "we made it". But it's like his soul didn't know he was dead. But that's just how I feel. He's been my favorite since his first appearance, and it still kills me to know he never got to make it to season 2 just because of his unpopularity at the time.

Marcos death was probably one the saddest to me. The that he wasn’t just murdered by a titan and he was actually killed by his own comrades, the people he thought he could put his faith and trust in. It didn’t help that it was also his own best friend (possibly more idk) was the one who found him in that state, lifeless on the floor after a painful death, whilst feeling both confused and betrayed, and having his future be ripped from him as he was eaten alive just because he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The saddest part for me was that he only got half of the screen time he actually deserved-
I agree. He should have received a lot of attention like all the characters, he was shown abruptly and superficially even as a" best friend " for Jean, and I was very upset. This character was not completely revealed. A kind and gentle guy who did not want to harm anyone, undeservedly dies so cruelly. He could have been revealed well in the OVA and in other series because he is the character who influenced the story of what is happening and how his best friend changed after his death. I still think that Marco is too undervalued and needs his own OVA

I love Attack on Titan so much. I`ve never cried so many times while watching some other series or movies. When i saw it the first time it was just shocking to see so many characters die because usually it´s only some side characters that you don´t care much about.
i just realised that marco died without knowing if jean survived or not. was he thinking about jean in his final moments? i mean, knowing that sweet boy, there’s a high chance he would have been thinking about jean and all of his other comrades.

Man what a journey it has been... attack on titan is so much different now than what is was. It used to be simple, human vs titan. A fight to survive. But now, words can't even express the change the anime has undergone. Thank you isayama for this masterpiece, I cannot wait to see what the ending has in store for us.

Yeah, Annie was always portrayed as very sympathetic. I'm pretty certain that even while she was killing people, she was crying either emotionally or physically. I'm also pretty confident that if she ever gets free she will change sides (particularly if she learns that Zeke pretty much wrote her off as expendable or otherwise less valuable than Eren). Even with Marco, you can see she is crying and doesn't *want* to do what they did (nor did Reiner or Bertoldt), but felt that their mission left them with no other option. Marco was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Levi’s theme is fast paced and while similar, is very more...Levi-like. It’s rock music and it shows raw emotion, the type where you just rage and rage until you start crying.
