No, it was Petra's badge. Isayama likes to be vague and wants us fans to figure it out on our own. Another sad , sad little detail is that upon the Survey Corps' return to the city in episode 22, Eren cries when he heard Petra's father talk to Levi about her. Eren probably felt responsible for the death of squad Levi and felt guilty over it.

Amy -IS It's true that she's not a coward. But ,sometimes, such strong attitude can cover the fact that you're actually in ruins on the inside. I can somewhat relate to Mikasa. No, I'm not ridiculously a badass. But, people are always saying that I'm strong because I keep a stiff upper lip whenever things go wrong. That I would keep saying that I'm a warrior and that some people are just wussies. On the inside, I'm actually just as emotionally tired as those 'weaklings'. We are all too human. That's how SNK stands out. We're surrounded by a lot of shounen animes that depict characters as people with inhuman amount of strength and endurance. SNK shows how humans are like humans. We're capable of being badasses...but we must also be aware of the fact that we can only bear what we can. Just before Mikasa made that badass speech and after Armin told her that Eren 'died', her eyes were empty. She's a badass HUMAN.

I've watched a lot of anime and Attack on Titan... has so many sad moments... the music makes those moments heartfelt. Just when you get used to someone they can be gone in an instant. No one is safe.
Every time I hear this, all I see is Mikasa completely overwhelmed by her emotions, and bawling uncontrollably. It's not the reunion that I find to be so poignant, it's the fact that these two characters care about each other so much. The limits they will go to in order to protect each other knows no bounds.
The violin is nice, and as someone said before, it really does bring out the sadness of this piece. But without the violin, I think that's when it brings out the true feeling of hopelessness. :/

They were in pre-production around October so it would have been too early for it to be released in 2015, plus with the Manga not going at a faster pace, it makes the anime come by slower. REGARDLESS! I am freaking pumped for the new season!
I can´t describe how much i love this show. Everything about it is just so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. The whole story and all characters are so perfect. And this music is one of the main reasons why it´s so good too. I never thought i would say it but i love AoT more than Death Note which i thought would be my most favorite anime forever.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, etc. have never met the standards like AoT. AoT touches very sensitive topics such as mass genocide, war, racism, etc. no anime I've ever seen has ever crossed this line. To be honest, AoT is a reflection of our own history on repeat. We'll never escape this deadly cycle unless we stop being ignorant and realize that both sides do terrible things. In war, no side is better than the other if civil blood needs to be spilled. In the end, the world is cruel and humans are animals. The ambiguous fight for freedom will immediately turn into a battle for our own survival. AoT's message is basically: Open your eyes, motherfuckers. No one is all bad and no one is all good.

That scene was so touching, I never ever have seen an anime until I came across attack on Titan and that seen almost made me cry, I never cared for anime then but damn that was sad, it's such a shame that Eren is such a dick to Mikasa, while Mikasa will give her life for him, now that's dedication motherfuckers.

They were in pre-production around October so it would have been too early for it to be released in 2015, plus with the Manga not going at a faster pace, it makes the anime come by slower. REGARDLESS! I am freaking pumped for the new season!

I can´t describe how much i love this show. Everything about it is just so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. The whole story and all characters are so perfect.
And this music is one of the main reasons why it´s so good too.
I never thought i would say it but i love AoT more than Death Note which i thought would be my most favorite anime forever.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, etc. have never met the standards like AoT.
AoT touches very sensitive topics such as mass genocide, war, racism, etc. no anime I've ever seen has ever crossed this line. To be honest, AoT is a reflection of our own history on repeat. We'll never escape this deadly cycle unless we stop being ignorant and realize that both sides do terrible things. In war, no side is better than the other if civil blood needs to be spilled.
In the end, the world is cruel and humans are animals. The ambiguous fight for freedom will immediately turn into a battle for our own survival. AoT's message is basically: Open your eyes, motherfuckers. No one is all bad and no one is all good.
