(I do get what you mean, though; Attack on Titan is a life-changer and it should be as beloved as it has been for years to come. It is truly a unique story full of hope, despair, trust, and love. Agreed, I really like the meaning behind it, and it fits the arc both from the Manga and the anime.
i thought the same, but that's not knock to linked horizon... those ones really embody the spirit of their respective arcs too... this was just such a switch up that hit well with the progression in story.

Most of that sequence is just Mikasa imagining an Idealised version of Eren . However , I think the REAL Eren entered the dream when he says " Forget about me " you can see that he has Titan marks under his eyes , something that the IDEAL Eren didn't have .
