  • We explore all of Terminal 2 at the St. Louis Lambert Airport, and then Terminal 1 pre-security. Along the way, I tried to find any artwork or exhibits that I could, along with locating where the Metrolink Station was in each Terminal. Filmed on February 25, 2023.

There is, or was, a long "History of flight" mural along one of the concourses by Sigfried Rhinehart. Back in the day, he worked on his masterpiece at Meramac Community College. Through the semesters is was there I watched him paint several panels of his mural. During his rest breaks we got to talking usually about airplanes. At the time, I was working on getting my pilots license, and of course, I found his murals fascinating. The next time I saw his art was when I was called to St. louis when my father died. Walking along the mural was somehow comforting. I felt I was somehow part of it.

Can't wait for them to make ONE terminal.......even though it's a good 5 to 10 years out at least.

Thank you for your video - I am about to travel to STL and I need to hop on the shuttle to go from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 to meetup with a friend!

That's awesome! Even though my video was the reverse order (Terminal 2 to 1), I hope it still helps paint a picture of where to pick it up 😊

Are you able to walk from terminal two to terminal one to see the artwork in the baggage claim level there?

There isn't a way to walk indoors. If you exit Terminal 2, you can take the shuttle I showed in the video. When I look at Google Maps, it does look like there is a sidewalk you could technically take to walk the same path that the shuttle took. However, there is a small stretch (about 100 feet maybe?) Where you lose the sidewalk and have to diagonal across back to where a sidewalk resumes. If you have a train ticket, you can also go between the terminals via the train.

@@PokoTraveler thank you for the suggestions!! One more thing- did you get to explore the Aquarium or walk by the new soccer stadium nearby?

No, I didn't see the inside of the acquarium; just passed by the outside only during my Union Station video. The soccer stadium, I don't think I got it on video unfortunately. I did pass by part of it from across the street.
