TODAY I went into the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign remastered version and got the Platinum trophy on PlayStation5. This trophy drove me to near insanity with how many times I died, and how difficult it was on veteran mode. Fun fact, immortal trophy doesn’t need you to play the whole campaign without dying. You just have to go through each mission in order without dying.
So if you die on a mission just restart and THAT mission not the whole campaign
Not even in order, just each level WITHOUT resetting to a checkpoint or dying!

I loved doing this game on Veteran but the worst mission to do veteran was Favelas in my opinion. I loved that mission but seriously theres so many positions the enemies come out and you can try to hide for cover but the enemies will still come up to you
The Enemy of my Enemy for me. Favelas is easy once you realize you can run through the first part and the spawns are the same after so it’s trial and error.
I got stuck under a staircase for 40 minutes
Every time I see the remastered campaign, I pray we get the multiplayer remastered too. I want to be a menace with One Man Army again.

I'm fine without it. MW2's remaster wasn't as good as MW1's, and MW1's didn't handle multiplayer well, which is why the original has more players than it
@@Freelancer837 The original also has a ton of cheaters. At least on PC. I haven't played it on Xbox, but I heard Microsoft fixed all the servers issues with all the past CoDs.

Same with CoD 4 veteran, the mission where you're supposed to hold out for an evacuation with the wounded sniper
@@eksdee2170 I did it on hardened, and it was just so many explosions. It took me 16 restarts to finish it. Though it was the grenades and lack of cover so I just got gunned down repeatedly.
@@potatoes869 Yeah it's so hard. I held out in one of the ticket boxes for like 10-20 restarts then I decided to be by the radio cars and that actually worked after some more restarts. The avsolute most difficult part for me was the ending, where you had to carry the sniper cuz everytime I died the timer restarted from the beginning lol and bullets everywhere

I honestly feel this pain, I played through it in veteran difficulty, and I was about ready to hit something.
Especially Contingency, where you had to go to the submarine,that part cost me 2 fucking hours,till I planned a strategy and beat it easily.
@@lavinlightwood19pr51 yeah, the one that gave me a lot of trouble was the mission loose ends, where you have to run to the LZ at the end of the mission.

@@kazuya779 oh gosh, I played through the campaign on regular then I got stuck on the part where you have to put thermite on the tiger tank, I can only imagine the difficulty of that part on veteran difficulty.
@@kazuya779I'm doing that right now, bro I shall tell you this it's fucking difficult because of the healthpacks and the non-regenerating health. (Also on veteran aim assist is off and there are no hit markers.)
The mission where ghoast died was the one that broke me on veteran is ridiculous how hard some of the missions are
There’s a secret execution scene at 4:44 but you have to melee between the two guys there
It’s not just you, Favela is a particular difficult level on Veteran. I must have died like 30 times trying to fight my way to the top

Got the platinum back when MW2R released. Although it was hard and annoying at times, I think MW1R was harder. So why don't you try to platinum the first one if you haven't already?
Got through to the mission where you have to get down the hill on veteran still haven’t made it past that mission I have broken two controllers already
It was an easy platinum, I got it within 36 hours of getting the game. MWR was so much harder to get.

im 15 and at home we have an old-ass xbox360. The Favela was the by far the hardest for my first time.

I have no idea why I did this, but I played this game and thought, I want to get all the trophies, and somehow I found the motivation to complete every single achievement and to this day it is one of the very few games I got platinum on, and being completely honest, I WOULD DO IT AGAIN!! IT WAS SO FUN!! But I would hate myself in the process lol
I did that too I bought the game and got the platinum in 2 sittings that totalled about 36 hours.

@@kingcamp1575I just went on the lowest difficulty I felt comfortable with. Really whatever you’re comfortable with, it makes it so much easier. Easiest of course would be the lowest difficulty
I felt comfortable for everything beside running in the pit in 18 seconds that took me so long
Glad to see a video about this. Completed it as a teen and broke two controllers (and COD4 and mw3) was my best memories for cod i enjoyed the campaigns to the fullest
The dialogue added in with the NPCS are golden ( I love the rangers hating the TF and delta

But seriously, this is why i always refused to play the campaign on veteran. I did it on the missions in MW3 but you literally died around corners with 2 bullets, it was insanely annoying, but rewarding if you did finally beat it. But respect to the dedication of going through that

The first mission in Brazil was the hardest mission in this game I hated it so much. It took me like 1 hour to do it on regular

The key to not getting frustrated with veteran mode is to be very patient and take your time in every section of every mission. Kill every enemy, check every corner and take cover at every moment
I got the platinum when the game released (stuck at home during the pandemic). To me it's pretty easy to get platinum if you spend a bit of time and complete each of the "missable challenges". Getting all the trophies on veteran difficulty was nothing but try and die until you know exactly where each enemy is, kill all of them and reach to the next checkpoint. The only trophy that was actually difficult and took me a lot of time was the "Pit Boss" trophy.
Yeah this platinum was pretty easy, it took me 36 hours of real life time to get it between getting the game and platinum
hi, new cod player here(played the remakes THEN dug out the ps3 for the ogs) played mw1 on recruit cause i was new, then i was like "i can handle regular 😎" til i hit 7:41 's mission. turned that right back to recruit. cant imagine on veteran.
If you weren't mad I'd say that if you were patient you can wait for the predator to angle itself toward the north end of the map and use it to take out most of the burger town enemies.
Brazil missions in veteran mode gave me PTSD
This remastered campaign is well worth a Veteran play through. If you haven’t played it - for me it was actually pretty easy, now I will admit while I didn’t struggle with every mission I’d say there are little “pockets” in missions, such as in favela I got stuck in an alley for 30 mins due to nades/RPG’s as well as when you’re fighting outside the White House and you have to get into the broadcast building on the left side.
I’m part of the 1.2% who platinumed this game and the pain of the snow mission and the woods missions where you have to run through mortars at the end… painful
The battle theme from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 showing up throughout most of the video is just amazing to me xD
Beating the remastered on Veteran made me decided to never beat another CoD in veteran. Except Cold War that one was easy.

I got the platinum trophy in about 15 hours. The favela missions and whiskey hotel pissed me off because there are so many snipers. Throughout the game there is a LOT of annoying grenades. I’m glad i got it done and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.

Idk if on PC it's easier, but you really didn't know what to do when it's on veteran dif. But I loved every second of it.

Also, plot wise, loved the Modern Warfare games. But seeing how Russia war in Ukraine is going… Russia couldn’t pull this war off lol

You defo never played it before, my man i spammed this game back on the ps3 for days on end... It was so good and the remaster is trully perfect. I would've loved a multiplayer remaster too but hey, we can't have all of it right ?

You got so mad dude it was insane, hardest imo is the Student Surpasses the Master where you had to beat BX’s time of 19.7 seconds. My best time was 19.25 I was so happy as that was my last trophy for the platinum. I enjoyed this game and the first Modern Warfare Remastered.

in whiskey hotel I was stuck on that trenches part. I literally respawned and got killed. I couldn't even MOVE

That level wasnt that hard for me, the only hard part was when i got a checkpoint and i had like 5 guys in front of me
I wish there was a setting to remove the flinch when you get shot. It's not the dying that upsets me. It's the constant ticking sound and the flinching when I get shot

If you were losing your mind in mw2 on veteran don't ever play cod ww2 on highest difficulty, that one is a fucking nightmare. The tank section took me around 4-6 hours alone

I got the platinum trophy because I wanted to do better then younger me playing mw2 when it came out. I was able to beat this game in one sitting on veteran. The hardest part was doing the firing range in a certain amount of time
I remember getting every trophy on MW2: CR, some of the missions on veteran were utter pain and suffering 😭

loose ends . that part where ghost and roach goes down the cliff after collecting intel . enemies coming from front with mortar boom baam boom siuuuuu. thats the real pain . it took about 20+ tries coz the checkpoint was fucked up , get revive run and killed my mortar

The Spec ops missions 3 stars on the 2009 original Version is hard . I'm glad I wasn't the only one stuck on The "Favella" mission That part you kept dying I was as well lol 😂. If you haven't Completed mw3 on Veteran You should try it. It's pretty Hard made me rage so much my mind go numb lol

You should try out a game called zombi, its a fps zombie game. really old and based in london. good storyline but you can beat it in like 2-3 hours. 21 trophies and just requires 3 playthroughs to get 100% :3
