Another fun fact about pineapples: your mouth also gets sore/hurts after eating too much pineapple because the fruit contains a specific enzyme that breaks down meat (it's also why pineapple is often paired with meat to make it more tender!); it's one of the reasons why pineapple is one of my favorite fruits, it literally eats you back lmao

Also about the pineapple, there is another reason more important than those needles: Pineapples are actually bromeliads, and most of bromeliads are actually carnivorous plants, they use their water resevoir between leaves to trap and digest insects. Because of that, most bromeliads actually produces substances capable of digesting animal protein aka meat and pineapples are no different. They produce a substance called bromelain, that breaks down animal protein. So most of the pain on your mouth when eating a pineapple slice is because they are literally eating you back from inside

The fact he took his time to go for the hair at the back of the neck is actually the most gentle way the dog could choose, since its also the way mother dogs would carry their puppies and they know it doesnt hurt - usually dogs showing agression about food would simply throw a loud tantrum and pinch you in the arm or leg to scare you away.

Here in the UK I live in a town where someone once used a bulldozer to steal 3 ATMs in one night. Slightly more impressive is that they weren't standalone units like the one showed in this video, but were instead 'hole-in-the-wall' ATMs built into the wall, so not only did they steal 3 ATMs they also demolished the walls of 3 stores to get them. I also believe that, somehow, they were never caught.

The reason why pineapple stings is actually due to the enzyme found in the pineapple called Bromelain, a type of protease that breaks down protein, which is why ppl use pineapple juice to marinate meat to make them more tender. So yea the pineapple is essentially breaking down ur tissue as your eating it, causing the pain but then bromelain is broken down by your stomach acid which is why you don't get holes in your stomach.
The bromelain in pineapples aren't usually concentrated enough to cause that much damage to your tissue. Also, the reason why it doesn't hurt as much before it reaches your digestive system is because it is mixed into saliva and dilutes the bromlain.
I would imagine it's a combination of the very acidic pH, needles, and bromelain that pierce your membranes and basically put acid and caustic material on your micro wounds
