Especially for those who requested this tutorial, this video is also a bit of fun for anyone who wants to dress up as Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's for a costume party or channel a little of her spirit for a night out. The fact that I've had so many requests for this look shows how the legend and the appeal of Audrey in this iconic film lives on and on. No-one else before or since has been as graceful, chic and downright gamine as her... she really took sophisticated glamour to a whole new level of stylishness!
Audrey never wore lip gloss always favouring a classic matte or satin lip which was very much in keeping with her classy, sophisticated image .. ditto bronzer. So to stay true to Audrey, ditch both of these items when recreating any of her looks...it'll make it look vulgar and Audrey would never stand for that!
I've done this type of look on hundreds of models and celebrities throughout my career but never on myself so this was fun for me to do too .... hope you like my Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired look!

As a theater director and artistic designer, I really love it when makeup artists supply tons of information in videos like this. And I have to say, as soon as you put on that lip liner, it was like you INSTANTLY transformed into Audrey; I was shocked by just how suddenly I saw it all come together! Very well done!
I definitely agree
I love how she used the eyebrow brush as the cigarette holder haha :)
yes! so so lovely
She’s such a class act
I didn’t notice :) thanks to you I checked :)
The noticing of blue eyeliner on the waterline for Audrey _and_ George, dang Lisa that’s why I watch you!
You have the exact color now, how lucky !
I've honestly watched this video 100 times. It's the best tutorial out there for this look! You're my absolute favorite makeup artist and I hope one day to take my craft to the level you have. Your eye for detail and beauty is so keen and makes you great!
Jordan Liberty's Audrey Hepburn eyes video is pretty good too
Your attention to detail is like none other! LOVE!!!!!
best audrey tutorial i've seen! thank you for putting so much time into this!
this is very lovely, truly the Revlon Mauve it over, Walmart $4.97. Audrey always used the bullet shape case. Now 2021, Revlon is at its best. Last week I bought wine with everything, cherries in the snow. Scott Barnes used it as part of his travel series, on ScottBarnestv on youtube, had one decade where Cherries in the Snow, He shows a grey blue , excellent just on the lid. it's called coy. I was recalling your channel, with a old song. I am fascinate by makeup history
The death of Prince Philip is all consuming in England now. Any new update. Milani has a similar shade to this, in the same as above in Bold pinky
Milani lipstick. Bold matte.
You are a person I'd like to drink a cup of tea with sometime.
I absolutely adore your inspired looks, you pay such attention to detail and you really strive for accuracy.. When the look comes together it's incredible. You are truly one of the best, your flair for makeup is incredible. Just like the Marilyn Monroe look, this one came out perfect.. It was spot on. Your such a pleasure to watch, keep the vintage looks coming. Would also love to see more of your vintage makeup stash ;)
She is absolutely fantastic.
I love your voice and how you talk 😍 it's just so calming.
Hi Lisa, Could you do a Daisy Buchanan makeup tutorial. I would really want to see how you would do a Great Gatsby inspired makeup tutorial.
YESSS
+Nicole Luzuriaga A THOUSAND TIMES YES
+Nicole Luzuriaga YESSSSS
Please
I love the amount of research you do before presenting any look, so much information you impart along the way, perfection!!
Look forward to seeing more vintage & Hollywood inspired looks :)
Not only are you an amazing makeup artist, I absolutely love the way you speak - extremely eloquent and confident. Thank you for all of your videos!
I love the way you explain the difference between 1950s and 60s make-up, so professional! ;)
for those who wanna know, in breakfast at Tiffany's Audrey used "Pink In The Afternoon" lipstick by Revlon!! really great lipstick from drugstore. Is not really expensive, so anyone is able to have it! And Revlon does such a good job with lipsticks!
revlon's pink in the afternoon lipstick actually came out several years after breakfast at tiffanys was released. the color is close, but it's definitely not what audrey used. i've read somewhere that the closest thing would actually be besame portrait peach lipstick🤷
Not just your tutorial is perfection but when you talk about movie with this adore like. I love it.
Please, please do some Grace Kelly, Greta Garbo & Lauren Bacall videos - i.e Grace Kelly in 1956 & 'The Swan', Greta Garbo in the 20's & 'Flesh & the Devil', and Lauren Bacall in her modelling days, & especially in 'Dark Passage'
Sophia Sorensen I would love if she did Rita Hayworth, Catherine Deneuve, and Sharon Tate.
Yes please!
Breakfast at Tiffany's is also one of my favorite movies! I love Audrey Hepburn's makeup and fashion in the movie and overall, and you did the makeup beautifully
you have the kind of timeless beauty Audrey had :)
how can anyone possibly dislike this video!! ... Lisa is just amazing!!
The ending with the brow brush was so clever and sweet, I loved it!
The way she said "flush" just made me have to say "flush" a couple of times it was so satisfying
gorgeous artsy work loved it
Wonderful. And I could listen to you speak all day. Lovely lovely!
Right her voice is elegant and pretty, really feminine
I learn something new all the time and I learned in this movie to pay more attention to the subtleties of makeup in film. Gotta love it!
eatingcookies yeah i never realized the makeup! My mom says I'm too young and that is weird that me of fifteen years old loves to watch Audrey Hepburn lol but she's so classy, who wouldn't wanna watch her films?
It's even inspiring to watch the way she moves/carries herself. Oh the femininity!
I LOVE looking at people's makeup!! It doesn't matter who it is or where they came from but whenever I look at people I always immediately look at their makeup
And what they are wearing especially in the movies. No matter if it looks like they aren't wearing any.
Your videos are fascinating! I'm so interested in all of the history, details, and facts that you have to share!
Oh-my-gosh, that look brightens your eyes so much and makes them look totally stunning!
I adore how in-depth you are in your tutorials. Not only do you explain the products and their placement, but you explain the things you've researched about the look in a was I can really tell you know what you're talking about; very much unlike many of the other girls on RUclips. Simply wonderful.
Please Lisa, could you make a Julie Andrews - Mary Poppins makeup tutorial? I think her make up is so beautiful in every scene and I will be very grateful if you could teach us how to recreate it
I just found your channel and I'm so glad I did. You are already my favorite RUclipsr/make up artist. I appreciate your grace, elegance, passion, and high quality videos chalked full of historical content and fantastic skill!
Love your videos, Lisa, and I'm a 58 yr old lady from Chicago. Your enthusiasm for the transformation that makeup can bring all women is so contagious and I have learned quite a lot from you. You are a beautiful lady with a beautiful spirit!!! Keep up the good work, Cathy
I honestly love your videos because you don't just sit, throw on makeup and expect your audience to understand it. You take your time, give the history of the look, walk through why each piece is important to make a beautiful tutorial. So thank you!
I love how uses the brush to pose at the end! Brilliant!!!
The exact lipstick she used was the Guerlain Shine Lipstick (not sure if that's the exact name) in the shade Jardin de Bagatelle
This is lovely! I specifically love your added inputs about how the make-up changes during the 50's and the 60's. The changes to the brows. I love that you bring attention to such details.
I LOVE this video. It's the most accurate and thorough description I've seen- I've been searching for a well-done Holly Golightly look. Thank you Lisa!
Great job. She's my favorite, it's true, everyone loves Audrey.
x
Summer
I just can't get enough of your tutorials Lisa! amazing tips, really well explained and you always look amazing! think this is going to inspire my christmas look this year :)xxx
@kuropixie I think its all about adapting the shades to suit your skin tone... so (for example) for darker tones a soft red would be great X
watching you makes me have a new found respect for make up artists and their work, you truly are an artist lisa
Superlative talent and application. I need to try and create this look for my wedding in Edinburgh in September. Wish I had your talent. Thank you, you are quite brilliant.
I adore this look. I think this might be the sixth time I've watched this vid...well done, once again. A classic for sure!
I've watched this video for the tenth time today and just love it! When she poses with the brush at the end, that's just epic! Whenever I feel down, ill or uninspired, I love watching Lisa's videos. When I was a child, I watched Smurfs to feel better and now I have Lisa! xx
I LOVE watching your videos! I learn so much, not only about makeup application but about history of films and just the history of makeup, which I find utterly interesting. It's so cool that you notice all the nuances in makeup. I've also gotten into vintage makeup after seeing your vintage collection and your History of Make-Up videos, so THANK YOU!!!!
the lipstick used in the film was revlon pink in the afternoon:)
Dana Mulder Ooh! Thank you for that! I wonder if they ever brought it back out again?
Just checked and they have it on Amazon along with another shade called temptress that looks similar.
You really do look like her in this video. The underlining shadow does the biggest trick, I think
this is by far the best and most genuine audrey look on youtube, you actually know what you're doing, have a lot of background knowledge on audrey, and have watched the movie. everyone else's tutorials are so vague. keep up the amazing work!!
I love how you explained the different makeup in the 50's and how it all changed in the 60's. I think that Audrey Hepburn really came into her own with the 60's makeup. I loved her eyebrows somewhat softer but still full, loved how they did her eye makeup, cheek color and you were so right about that exquisite lip color she put on in that taxi scene. I adore Audrey Hepburn and have watched this movie too many times to count. Thanks for all the info about how they did her makeup!
the end with the spoolie was so cute!
This is by far the greatest Audrey Hepburn- Breakfast at Tiffany's makeup tutorial!
You're truly a pro...the info you impart in your videos shows your expertise and passion for make up and it's history throughout different periods...thank you!
This was the first video I ever watched of yours , Lisa. I am rewatching it now, and loving it just as much now as I did before. You are such an inspiration. Please don't ever stop making videos. Your fan always, Christie
timeless look, perfect for most occasions and even ages! :D so fun, it reminded me of that Reese Witherspoon Audrey prep too for big little lies. movie makeup scenes are so fascinating and this is so in depth :D thank you
Binge watching your videos... again. Love this, love you! So fun!!! Thank you for the great vintage tutorials.
you are officially my fav makeup guru on youtube. there are soo much analysis, research, hard work done behind. I really do respect it. And the look is right at the dot, just perfect.
This is a beautiful, classic, timeless look and I think it holds up wonderfully well even 50 years after it was popular. Simply great! Thanks for that fun tutorial!
Thank you so much!! You are special...a true artist!
Just fabulous!!!
I love that you seem to be having a conversation with your audience.. it's so engaging and different from any other guru out there because there's just so much information and personality that accompanies your tips and tricks. Absolutely loved this!
I can watch your videos for a whole night without doing anything else...I am a newbie in makeup and didn't know it could be real ART!! You changed my view of makeup...Thank you so much!!
this is such a great video and great job, you're really pretty too
You used the brow brush as the cigarette holder! (forgot what it's called) I giggled 😊
This look is timeless!!!!
You are so thorough at what you do and your voice is so relaxing. Thank you.
I was so waiting for a "how do I look?" after she put on the earrings...great tutorial though!
I love this video! Your eyes look so much bigger! Wow!!! The power of makeup! ❤️You're very beautiful without makeup on btw!
i love that you talked about how her makeup (makeup in general) evolved from one decade to another and the subtle changes mr westmore made from scene to scene. thank for the tutorial and your professorial take on the evolution of makeup.
wow... an amazing make up tutorial, by far the best I've seen. the lighting, the plain background that doesn't distract us viewers, the products used in text ..so clear and excellent quality!
Will you do Mary Poppins? :)
Yes
I'm dying to get the exact lipstick color that's used on the film!
Thank you so much!
Its supposed to be Pink in the afternoon
It's ether pink in the afternoon or peach revlon brand
“Really really feathery and nice and feathery”
I love this video! It’s years old and I still watch it now and again!
I LOVE THE CASUAL SLIP IN OF THAT SIGNATURE POSE AT THE END. I LOVE THIS TUTORIAL, GG TO TRY IT NOW!
Happy Birthday to Audrey!
Love it!
when you do a look you really do the research and the tutorial turns into this amazing experience where we see the makeup part but get a feel for what was going on at that time and the thought that went into every step
As you did with your Marilyn video, you gave so much information about the film and the make-up used in the film, which is so much better than not giving any. You did an amazing job, thank you so much for this :)
Beautiful... Also gives you a look of Liv Tyler
I want to write the sequel to Breakfast, heres a part of it:
A much older Holly Golightly some twenty years later:
-Twenty years or so have passed when a more youthful Holly Golightly would feel the urge to hitch a cab and jaunt along New York's 5th Avenue in an never ending quest to seek out an old friend she called, Tiffany's. Much older and less carefree as she had been in her twenties, a much wiser Holly Golightly slowly exited the cab but not before handing off a freshly pressed fifty dollar bill to the driver.
She paused for a moment as if reflecting upon the fifty note and what it meant some twenty years ago -accompanied by a trip to the 'ol powder room. Closing the cab door, Holly leisurely approached the department store window, stood for a moment while adjusting her Gucci red colored sunglasses; she could not help but smile. After all, she has stood gazing at this same spot a myriad of times before and to Holly, looking through a window at Tiffany's with it's sea of gold and shimmery jewelry was like peering into the eyes of an old friend. An old friend indeed.
Watched Breakfast at Tiffany's yesterday, and I absolutely adored it.
You are the sweetest, most delightful person. To watch you transform yourself into an icon is just pure pleasure. And all the clever make-up tips are just golden. Thank you!

You're so beautiful, true artist
You are so talented. I love your icons. The history and attention to detail is wonderful. Love your tutorials so much!
I really enjoyed hearing you discuss the film throughout the tutorial. It's one of my favorite movies!
12:36
she does look like a kitten :3
love your old classic looks so much, you do so much research and i love to watch. you must do more!
this was the tutorial that made me subscribe to lisa. by far the best audrey look on youtube. so well researched and fab!
That looks gorgeous, but I'd think the lips are a bit more coral in color and not so pink.. I see a much more orange-y base sort of lipstick :)
Way better than Michelle Phan's take of Holly Golightly where she paints on hair on her forehead.
SO much better. Michelle looked cheap.
Tory Buraku she layered cream over powder. And didn't blend. Her contouring was so messy.
Ikr, her eyeshadows were heavy af and cheap looking
Tory Buraku It was poorly done. She totally butchered a classic, classy look. Michelle's muddy ass face though
Frances Manuel didyou guys see the latest fracas? She was caught plagiarizing someone else's look. As usual, her fans are defending her. Shameless!
i love when she said "I hope you like it" at the very end! so cute!
You did really well! I hope you keep making more of these types of tutorials!
Imagine if she did this with her actual Audrey lipstick
It isn't Fred-baby, it's Paul-baby!
this is the best holly makeup tutorial. im dressing up in her sleep costume but no one makes makeup tutorials on that, but this one saved me since youre really considering the makeup in all her scenes in the film. i think you may have been one of the only people who look like theyve actually watched it! thank you for this.
Dear lisa, this is undoubtedly the best and most informative Audrey tutorial on RUclips, thank you so much for sharing your expertise and talent! x
Your voice reminds me of nigella lawson
Wow great vid!! it helped me a lot :) and btw u look A LOT like natalie portman ;)
I agree Lisa totally does!
I agree.
I love your tutorials because you can create, wih so few products and steps, such glamourous looks
Such an iconic look. Your work is breathtaking as usual.
