+MADEbySOUL She could pull it off, but would have to adjust for the fact that her natural hair is thinner and straighter than the wig so it would not be an exact translation. She could fix that with extensions/growing her hair out/hair volumizing products and tricks (that are not too damaging), and obviously the makeup to go along with it, but that is a decent amount of required maintenance.
What I appreciate about Lisa and her tutorials is that she captures the essence of the look, without trying to make the model look like the inspiration's copy cat, if that makes sense. This model, although pretty, does not look like Liz Taylor, yet when the whole makeup is done, even before the wig, I can see Liz Taylor emerging: the brows, the shape of the mouth, the winged-yet-wide open eyes. Had the brow been a bit thinner or rounder, or more angular, or the eyes a bit more elongated, too "flicked," it won't resemble Liz anymore. Absolutely brilliant!! Really enjoyed watching this.
+Le Genou de Claire Yes, it's "Liz Taylor inspired" rather than just a straight-up costumey look. She still looks like herself, but if asked which movie star she most resembles you'd say Liz Taylor.
K...I got a bit effy when she was thickening those brows more and more....and once that wig was on...omg I was blown away. Such blasphemy for me to ever doubt Lisa! Just amazing...not only did she go from blonde to brunette...she went from a modern gal to a whole new era altogether.
+RED REBEL hahahahaha about the blasphemy, I was thinking the same thing, uh oh Lisa this looks rather odd, and then kapow, she shut us all up with her wizardry!
I'm a guy with no interest in wearing or applying makeup to someone else but, as others have said, watching a Lisa Eldridge video is so calming and at the same time I very much enjoy seeing someone at work who is so professional, is such an artist and also an excellent teacher, someone I admire and respect for excellence in her craft. Too it's fun to watch someone's appearance change and be enhanced.---I used to have a small mole on my cheek but was shaving a little too fast one day and sliced it right off.---I was once in a stage play and after being cast was told that my medium blond hair needed to be black. After a performance a lady came up to me and instead of saying "Hey, great job", I was told "You look so much better with black hair, you should keep it that way"! A short time later that lady changed her hair from gray to black!
The eyebrows looked phenomenal! all those youtubers trying to do these bold, thick brows and totally failing but you made it look so effortless. I could swear it was like looking at an artist painting on his camva. Magic. Thank you Lisa
my brows are a lot like Elizabeth Taylor's eyebrows. not quite as dark but the same shape naturally and I remember the first time I saw a photo of her as a little girl and being so excited that when everyone around me had those pencil thin 90s brows this woman who was regarded as a true iconic beauty had brows like mine! beautiful look here, you captured her essence wonderfully!
+Lisa Eldridge I'm not saying that you do it, but I wonder why so many makeup artists never blend the light shade in the inner corner of the eye? I've seen sooooo many videos here on YT where they use 5 min to blend everything else but they never blend the inner corner of the eye. Doesn't it look better if EVERYTHING is blended well..?
I am so glad you are doing this Elizabeth Taylor look! I adore her!!!! She was a magnificent beauty that comes only once in a lifetime. Such a strong survivor. People should really read about her as much as possible. She is a true inspiration and icon. A beautiful woman beyond words inside and outside.
This is an amazing transformation - you absolutely nailed it. I like how you chose her look for the 1950s. I think Elizabeth Taylor looked her best during her A Place In The Sun/Cat On A Hot Tin Roof years. And what a beautiful model!
Wow! Lisa, this tutorial kind of proves that you are the best. Just look at that transformation while still making the makeup look cool. I felt bad when you told your about not doing Elizabeth Taylor's makeup. That haunt me forever. Haha!
Elizabeth Taylor was my grandma's absolute favorite, inspiring her make up, and just her overall fashion sense. I remember watching an old Egyptian themed movie with Elizabeth Taylor in it and just the overall awe in my grandma's face made me realize where her sense in make up came from. From that moment I started noticing all these jewelry pieces and perfume sets that my grandma had that were Elizabeth Taylor's. Elizabeth Taylor has been the ultimate beauty icon for me since then. 💚
A another great tutorial, Lisa. I love Elizabeth Taylor, she was a beautiful woman inside and out. It's a shame her beauty on outside is more known than her beauty of kindness and generosity. I hope to see more Old Hollywood looks in the future!
Oh wow this is what I'd call a makeup transformation, and it looks so natural! I absolutely love it, and I think she really resembled Elizabeth Taylor at the end. Great job Lisa, you have inspired and taught me so much about makeup and beauty - Thank you! xx
Such an incredible transformation! Maybe even one of my favourites from all the looks you re-created. Now I'd be even more intrigued to see you do a take on Edie Sedgwick's make-up, that'd absolutely make my day
It is amazing how she looks like she is coming directly from the 50's. If we only look the end we can't imagine there was such a transformation. And it "seems" simple. My wish for X-mas?? Having my party makeup done by you Lisa :-) If only Santa did exist :-( :-(
Such a cool idea to use a model that looks like a complete contrast to Elizabeth Taylor and then transform her to look nearly the same. You're already legendary, Lisa!
Lisa, she looks amazing. I was always in awe of Liz Taylor's gorgeous complexion, and the incredible contrast of her dark hair, fair skin and stunning eyes. You have captured her look perfectly. Thanks!
You never cease to amaze me! I've been watching your makeup tutorials on Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Marie Antoinette, etc. on loop because I was so mesmerized by your exceptional talent as a makeup artist. Now you're doing a tutorial on Elizabeth Taylor's look and you TOTALLY nailed it! I hope you can do makeup tutorials of how to achieve the look of other icons such as Madonna, Twiggy, etc.
...I am absolutely blown away, this may be my favorite makeup tutorial I have ever seen! Lisa, you gave Liz Taylor every bit of dignity here, beautifully well done!
VERY Liz!!! Great look!!! Loving this!!! Stunning!! Gosh Lisa your knowledge is so fun! Love your Marilyn video also!!! You are certainly a student that loves who she studies! So appreciated your expertise and finesse!!!‼️🙋❤️😘
Ahhhhhhh this is perfection :O As I've already once stated on your video, I fully intend to have you do my makeup for my wedding, even though that would be in 10 years minimum, and it would cost me more than my wedding dress...But who cares, it's Lisa Eldrige,so....
I loved Liz Taylor! She was one of my idols. It's wonderful to see this reincarnation of Liz from the 1950's. I have always thought that she was the most beautiful in the 1960's when she would have been in her 30's. I would love to see a look recreating 1960's Liz! I have to say that you got her brows down perfectly! It's amazing what the right makeup and a wig can do to make this young woman look like a young Liz. Thanks!
You never cease to amaze me. I wouldn't be surprised if one day you're considered an Icon of your trade & spoken about w/reverence & deep appreciation. Thank you for sharing your talent, your craft w/us.
+Nini Nguyen Yes please! Haven't seen anyone really doing it properly on YT... Lisa would most definitely do it perfectly and also give us some insight ;)
Lisa you are such an artist!!! Thru your words I can really see how much you admire Elizabeth Taylor your enthusiasm and passion talking about her is really enchanting!!! And now I feel the same way about you! You are not queen you are the makeup goddess!!! 👏🏻👍🏻
Lovely! The dark hair makes it all pop with lighter eyes! Nice contrast. Yes, she looked much like Elizabeth Taylor, look alike! The Green earrings were perfect! Very nice! Thank you for showing how this is done.
This was amazing Lisa! I always look forward to your videos because you are informative about the history and you aren't overbearing or too talkative even though you are a complete expert on makeup! Your tutorials are always done so fabulously and the end results are looks that one could actually wear everyday without looking like they're playing dress up. In the future, you should attempt Twiggy, the model. She has such an interesting 60s look but I'm sure you could give us some great tips on how to perfect her bold eyeliner and lash techniques :)
Wow. Lisa, you are amazing. Truly. I am in awe of your talent. You and Kevyn Aucoin are my favorite makeup artists of all time. Period. Liz missed out ;)
If I was the model's friend I would tell her to dye her hair dark because she is such a knock out with the dark hair contrasting her eyes!
I know right!!! The moment she put the wig on...I was like "damnnnnn"!! The dark hair really compliments her eyes!
Yes! She looks so sultry.
+MADEbySOUL Agreed, as a brunette she is breathtaking!
+MADEbySOUL YES!

By the way, you nailed the brows. Spot on.
+Kim Girard thank you X
+Lisa Eldridge ¡Hola lovely Lisa! If I ever win the lottery I will hire you to do my makeup for a year!!!
Agreed! Incredible
OMG, she looks so classy and elegant when the whole look was complete
Lisa, this is absolutely stunning! I just got my copy of Face Paint and I can't wait to read it! x
She should keep the dark hair, her features really stand out!! Beautiful!!
Only if she puts on black eyebrows and black eyelashes every day, which seems like a lot of trouble. What's wrong with her natural blond look?
Omg what a stunning model and makeup look. The transformation was absolutely incredible!
+Laura Neuzeth You already have this look down!
BooRadleyTube 😄 I always get told that I look like someone from the 1940's or 50's.
She's practically unrecognisable from the first shot to the last. Incredible transformation!
K...I got a bit effy when she was thickening those brows more and more....and once that wig was on...omg I was blown away. Such blasphemy for me to ever doubt Lisa! Just amazing...not only did she go from blonde to brunette...she went from a modern gal to a whole new era altogether.
absolutely! just goes to show the true artistry of both her and the wig maker.
+RED REBEL hahahahaha about the blasphemy, I was thinking the same thing, uh oh Lisa this looks rather odd, and then kapow, she shut us all up with her wizardry!
+RED REBEL haha yes makeup is often like that, theres always a 'moment' before it all comes together! X
A short time later that lady changed her hair from gray to black!
I feel like this transformation is much more intense than the Marilyn tutorial.
Both are incredible
When you put that wig on her my jaw dropped! She truly looks like Liz! Impeccable makeup as always
the eyebrows were so strong, but then the wig and BAM! it all came together so gorgeous!!!!
The eyebrows looked phenomenal! all those youtubers trying to do these bold, thick brows and totally failing but you made it look so effortless. I could swear it was like looking at an artist painting on his camva. Magic. Thank you Lisa

Unbelievably gorgeous!
I'm in aw of you Lisa, you truly are a phenominal artist
+Wafa Just wanted to add, what a lovely model you have
She wears the look beautifully
+Wafa A yes Laura is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for this Liz inspired look X
She looks so incredibly classy and pretty as a brunette! She looks like directly from the 50's. The dark hair suits her so well!
This is the true story of the power of makeup! What a transformation! I love it!
You're incredible at your job. She is a replica of Elizabeth Taylor
Please consider doing a Dorothy Dandridge look. She's a classic beauty as well.
I'd love to see that
I'm sure this model feels the same way with you as you felt about Liz Taylor. :)
Agreed. ❤️
Agree !!!!!
I've actually known Laura for years and she loves vintage styles, always wore those things when she was out.
I know I would!
So true
The way you go about putting on makeup always looks so gentle. I love it!
That model would be a great canvas for a Marilyn Monroe look. 💋
AMAZING! wow- I'm gonna be running around Hollywood today with my makeup done just like Elizabeth Taylor today haha I can't help myself- so so good!
I love the depth of the brow- I am going to add a few of those tricks for sure!
+KelseyFarese the brows have that "come hether" look about them
RED REBEL they SO do! Everyone should have that trick up their sleeve...or up their eyebrow arch haha
I have a feeling Im gonna end up lookin like a bushman the next few days but I too am inspired!
RED REBEL haha it's so worth it! I'm gonna look like I've been living in my parents basement for the past 20 years but Glam as hell! hahah
The brows look way better than I had expected
This is an amazing transformation - you absolutely nailed it. I like how you chose her look for the 1950s. I think Elizabeth Taylor looked her best during her A Place In The Sun/Cat On A Hot Tin Roof years. And what a beautiful model!
this woman is an artist. Period. No doubt about it. She's amazing!
Wow! Lisa, this tutorial kind of proves that you are the best. Just look at that transformation while still making the makeup look cool.
I felt bad when you told your about not doing Elizabeth Taylor's makeup. That haunt me forever. Haha!
I meant "that would haunt me forever!"
+abirsashee haha thanks! Yes it was a big disappointment at the time but at least I eventually got to pay homage to her in my book X
Possibly one of the most amazing transformation
Wow she looks like a different person! The wig really brought it all together.
The transformation is perfection. True artist, Lisa!
😱😱😱 truuuuly unbelievable. What talent! She looked uncanny !
Incredible transformation. I'd never wash my face. This is my favorite style of makeup
at first I thought the brows are bit too strong, but when she put on the wig it's like perfection
Dark hair suits this model so well!!
omg that model's skin is goals!! And also the eyebrows are spot on!!
A another great tutorial, Lisa. I love Elizabeth Taylor, she was a beautiful woman inside and out. It's a shame her beauty on outside is more known than her beauty of kindness and generosity. I hope to see more Old Hollywood looks in the future!
You're so talented 👏🏻
Oh wow this is what I'd call a makeup transformation, and it looks so natural! I absolutely love it, and I think she really resembled Elizabeth Taylor at the end. Great job Lisa, you have inspired and taught me so much about makeup and beauty - Thank you! xx
I love how when you put on the wig, the whole look just ties in together perfectly! You never fail to blow my mind every time!
Such an incredible transformation! Maybe even one of my favourites from all the looks you re-created.
Now I'd be even more intrigued to see you do a take on Edie Sedgwick's make-up, that'd absolutely make my day
BAMMM!!!
That wig just looked
insanely beautiful on her! Great job Lisa :)
It is amazing how she looks like she is coming directly from the 50's. If we only look the end we can't imagine there was such a transformation. And it "seems" simple. My wish for X-mas?? Having my party makeup done by you Lisa :-) If only Santa did exist :-( :-(

I feel like that woman became more elegant in her actions after the makeup too, I would probably talk softer after that.
It always blows my mind just how transformative makeup can be.
The eyebrows are brilliant!
Just by changing the hair and eyebrow color, one seems like a different person, wow❤
One of your best ever, Lisa. Absolutely amazing and the model was perfect for Liz Taylor - not to mention those fabulous earrings!
Such a cool idea to use a model that looks like a complete contrast to Elizabeth Taylor and then transform her to look nearly the same. You're already legendary, Lisa!
Incredible transformation. Beautifully done.
Dang, the absolute class and elegance of such simple makeup is everything.

Absolutely Stunning! She looks fantastic with dark hair.
Dear Lisa, would you kindly do a series on makeup looks from the show 'Mad Men'? :) Thank you, and Merry Christmas in advance!
Lisa, she looks amazing. I was always in awe of Liz Taylor's gorgeous complexion, and the incredible contrast of her dark hair, fair skin and stunning eyes. You have captured her look perfectly. Thanks!
This look is so perfect it fucking hurts
She looked so beautiful with just the eye make up and the blonde eyebrows on!

Ahhhhhhh this is perfection :O As I've already once stated on your video, I fully intend to have you do my makeup for my wedding, even though that would be in 10 years minimum, and it would cost me more than my wedding dress...But who cares, it's Lisa Eldrige,so....

I love that you are telling us so much, about yourself, about your thoughts on the subject, history, etc.
Amazing look! You're so talented and your model is beautiful!
You never cease to amaze me. I wouldn't be surprised if one day you're considered an Icon of your trade & spoken about w/reverence & deep appreciation. Thank you for sharing your talent, your craft w/us.

OMG - she looks fabulous! Elizabeth Taylor was the most naturally beautiful actress in the golden age of Hollywood!!
I really like the pretty make up artist's rings.
Lisa, this is incredible. You are a true artist, Liz would have been lucky to have you do her makeup.
Now THAT is a makeover.
Lisa you are such an artist!!! Thru your words I can really see how much you admire Elizabeth Taylor your enthusiasm and passion talking about her is really enchanting!!! And now I feel the same way about you! You are not queen you are the makeup goddess!!! 👏🏻👍🏻
I would like to call that Black magic......
You are a witch!
Lisa always looks so fresh and awake and beautiful she's truly just beautiful
I was born with double set eyelashes, but you can't see them without make up because they're blonde! quite ironic.
Lovely! The dark hair makes it all pop with lighter eyes! Nice contrast. Yes, she looked much like Elizabeth Taylor, look alike! The Green earrings were perfect! Very nice! Thank you for showing how this is done.

Wow. Lisa, you are amazing. Truly. I am in awe of your talent. You and Kevyn Aucoin are my favorite makeup artists of all time. Period. Liz missed out ;)
The best Liz look so far! Very authentic!
Wow. Gorgeous and you are so right about Liz Taylor. ♥ Elle
Just watching the way your hands move on and around a face is quite amazing! This transformation was stunning.
Wow.She looks like a completely different person. I'd never recognise her .
Unbelievable transformation, you wouldn't believe it's the same person!!!
