After watching loads of RUclips "gurus" and then Lisa, WOW. What a difference. You can definitely tell who the professional is. She isn't "absolutely literally OBSESSED" with everything. Veey refreshing.
LuLu Renee I KNOW what you mean! And funnily enough, watching Lisa's videos actually makes me more content about what I have then other gurus. With other gurus, I feel that there's always this pressing need to buy a new product because they make it seem as though its ONLY with those products that they are absolutely obsessed with can your life change to become more beautiful than it was before. And yes, I know that they always state that you can substitute these with cheaper products, but I mean, its clear from their faces that they don't believe that statement a 100% most of the time. With them, its the product. With Lisa, its the technique and touch. She doesn't need fabulous products to do a breathtaking piece of work. Similarly, she inspires me to believe that I can too as well.
+LuLu Renee - I could have written that comment myself! It's so true. It's a breath of fresh air watching a sensible adult MUA who knows what she's talking about and isn't trying to peddle anything.
It was an amazing holiday gift to see a video pop up from you and this one was wonderful! I love how you tell the story of the person's "makeup life" and product / technique history. There's just nothing like what you do. Hope to see more from you in 2015! Happy Holidays to the woman who truly changed a huge part of my life in 2014. THANK YOU!
While I was watching this video, I realized I've watched you for more than 3 years now. Wow. Time flies! I even remember writing an essay inspired by your makeup history videos for my English "finals" during my freshman year of high school (teacher was totally impressed by the history of makeup btw ;3). And now it's been months since I've graduated from high school. These types of videos are some of my favorites
Amy, what a wonderful comment. Im sorry to hear you had such a tough time but so happy to hear that my passion for the history of make-up rubbed off on you in such a positive way. Thrilled to hear you are feeling inspired and happy again. Much love Lisa X
I just watched Nikkitutorials (?) and I can't believe how much make up she has got on her face? Then I watched you and omg, you are so beautiful, without make up too. it just looks so natural!
ikr. She wears so much. I used to take her seriously because she seemed to wear less and knowledgeable but in real life outside she wld look like a clown
+Maria Nikki does overdo foundation, concealer and contouring. I think she's always aiming for the "airbrush effect" which can get really tacky sometimes.
!!!!!!! Today is my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present! Two of my favorite things: Lisa Eldridge and Audrey Hepburn :) Thank you so much Lisa. You really made my day xx
Lisa Eldridge WOW this is spot on! It's actually amazing how you are able to change your eye shape from one video to another. I have a BIG request...could you please do a post or a video on all the movies that you watch for makeup and fashion inspiration?
Lisa with false eyelashes: I'm going to just drop them on and it'll be flawless. Me with false eyelashed: I'm going to just drop them on- aaand now they are glued to the top of my eyelid, great.
"Hope you like the look?" I looooove it lol. Merry Christmas to you in advance and thank you for all your great tips and amazing video. I know my Christmas and New Years Eve are going to be amazing thanks to you :-) Bisous de Paris !
I love it when u talk about the history of makeup, the makeup artists from this time and were makeup comes from etc. and I can c that u really enjoy it too. Thx for ur videos lisa, I dont know u personally but I think I have a soulsister in u when it comes to the passion of makeup. xxx
I think I understood what I like so much in watching this artist.. it is the fact that she worships what she does so much and all that Happiness she generates in herself is transferred to us
You are the first makeup artist and I mean that for real not some wanna be self proclaimed beauty guru....that I have ever seen to turn such natural makeup and techniques and they are truly stunning and beautiful!!! I, too am a makeup artist. I think ppl can tell who is real and who is obsessed with playing with makeup and wearing it SUPER clown makeup heavy all the time!!! You and Wayne Goss are a breathe of fresh air for me! I had to pick one for each gender:) thank you thank you!! Also one more thing, I love how you use other models to do tutorials because our faces aren't going to looks amazing with every single different look, so you are smart to find someone that fits your vision of what the makeup should look like! Again a sign of a true professional! I do the same...what you look amazing in could look terrible on me:) Love you and your work!! xx
+Komerican10 yes lisa and wayne goss are just soooo talented. they rly create beauty. they really care about looking "naturally chic" and i think that is what makeup is all about
It's like watching Audrey on screen. You are a true genius artist Lisa, and your videos give me so much joy. I'm still holding out for you and Mary Greenwell to do each others' make up though xxx
That eye look is perfect on her. Every Audrey look she's done makes me envious of how beautiful the eye make up looks on her. By far my favourite beauty videos on youtube.!
this is sooooo gorgeous. i love that you can do a full face of makeup without it looking heavy or cakey. and i'm totally going out to buy this lipstick tomorrow, lol.
I love your makeup tutorials - They never fail to be interesting from start to finish with no big lavish show. All the tiny details you notice and incorporate so elegantly, especially in the looks based off of time periods or specific people where you combine the actual history into it. Seriously, the quite essential elegant woman, and one of the best makeup artists I have had the pleasure to come across.
Oh my God Lisa you are so beautiful and this look made me realize it even more! I mean I always knew that you were a beautiful, classy and talented woman but this look is everything. You look like a movie star. It's actually breathtaking. I can't remember the last time I was in awe of someone's beauty like I am of yours right now. stunning :) Hugs from Poland!
Wowser. I've seen so many audrey Hepburn inspired makeup looks but for some reason when you do them - it's a lot more enjoyable. I love the little anecdotes you share and the tidbits in the light of the artists and celebrities you clue us in to. Like a history lesson and makeup tutorial in one. It's especially enlightening to hear of products that existed then and is still available now. That's longevity! I wanna try that lip trick and see what kind of effect it has on me. I love your final reveal. It's like a transformation.
It is such a pleasure to see someone pay such care and attention to their craft! You and and Audrey have different types of gorgeousness but you share the same effortless elegance!
I love that you talk about the history of makeup and when you do looks like this you research what the makeup artists actually did and what products they used, and why! It's so insightful and I've learned so much about my trade thanks to your knowledge.
It's always a privilege to watch her work. We're seeing a master here. She's able to transform her look to match her peg without losing her own unique style and beauty. She honors all these classic icons with each of her videos and I can't wait to see what she does next :) I think I would die a happy lady if I had my makeup done by Ms. Lisa Eldridge one day! Sigh, dreams!
... Always so insightful, beautifully articulate and with those gentle stories I love your work... It comes across as professional without the 'me, me' vanity of many of the others... Thankyou for representing this as an artform.
Lisa, you are the most elegant personality I have ever had the pleasure of watching! That final transformation with the diamonds was such a joy! I love how light and barely touching the face your brush strokes are, that is something I am trying to do more with my makeup application. It almost looks like you're blending nothing at all, but it makes such a seamless, natural finish
He also was the makeup artist for several of Elizabeth Taylor movies, like Ash Wednesday. I would love you to do Liz Taylor's makeup in THE VIPs. She has a smokey grey/blue that's stunning on her eyes.
Its that time of month and my emotions are crazy!! I saw this video and immediately felt relaxed. Nothing like watching somebody skillfully apply makeup in such a calm matter. Thank you.
Beautiful! but I loved the background and makeup history even more. It would be a fun mini series to do some of the famous stars of the past along with your knowledge of how makeup changed thru the decades.
You're just so talented, elegant and eloquent. I also love how you appear to have done your research. I admire Audrey Hepburn so much in every way and you are the only make-up artist I dare watch try to emulate her look - perfection!
Oh Lisa! It was such a joy to see that you have outshone yourself once again, and even more of a joy to see you create another video demonstrating how to recreate one of Audrey Hepburn's iconic looks. :) Lovely, lovely, lovely makeup - to say that it was immaculate would be an understatement! As always, you look absolutely flawless and chic, and I love your final outfit at the end. It was breathtaking. :) Merry, merry Christmas and I wish you an amazing year ahead! One suggestion: may I suggest that you do a series of tutorials according to the decades, such as makeup in the 1920s or 1930s and etc, or a series that recreates looks from iconic stars of various decades, such as that of Clara Bow from the twenties, Sophia Loren from the fifties, so on and so forth? I absolutely adore your Tippi Hedren and Baby Bardot tutorial, and also the Marilyn Monroe and Biba ones. Thank you for taking the time to produce such an informative tutorial once again and also, thank you for being such an inspiration. :) Looking forward to your next video!
I love your tutorials because you explain why everything is done. There is reason behind every brush stoke. Lisa, you truly teach in your videos and the makeup is beautiful and unique each time- thank you :)
The brows! Oh my gosh, how can they look so natural? People try to do far more natural looking brows and they just come out overdrawn... And you pull these thick brows like nobody's business. They look great on you, if I can say so :) Audrey is my favourite. And you've nailed it once again.
Love your classy looks as always. All other youtubers are all doing colorful smoky eyes, while your looks are always so elegant and wearable. Love your work!
Amazing Lisa, i love how you always keep it simple and classy while most of the other girls are obsessed with crazy contouring. Well i guess that is what makes you distinguished, you are incredibly talented. Love all of your looks!
Gorgeous. I just love how you use whatever product you like, regardless of the price point... Maybelline one minute, Chanel the next. I really enjoy these "character" studies.. but would love to see more technical tutorials from you. I learned so much from the ones you did in the past.
Thank you so so much for doing a Funny Face look! It's my favorite Hepburn look and there really are no tutorials on the Funny Face look out there and I have been waiting for a while for one. Thank you so much for being an amazing makeup artist who blesses us with your knowledge
why? they used the couch and slept with married men and the former used to promote fake charities to make herself look like a humanitarian when really she built a trust fund for her sons! Both were despicable. Ms monroe and julie andrews were classu
LOL. You sound like a psychotic freak babbling nonsense. Go back to your wrestling and obsession with Marilyn. Stop speaking ill of the dead. You only show how distorted your thinking is. For you to come trotting over to this video after almost a YEAR and talk shit about women we are discussing as BEAUTY ICONS and exchanging pleasantries about BEAUTY ICONS and makeup and Lisa...you have to bash dead women's characters. You are really classy. Please crawl back into your hole. Thank you. P.S. Miss Marilyn was beautiful and tragic, but she slept with married men, too, you idiot.
+Eden Everly speaking ill of the dead? the dead are dead and nothing can change what they did they aren't beauty icons. Marilyn and bardot sure! grace and audrey were hyped up to the high heavens. Overrated. Just because they wore designer clothes it doesn't make them icons of anything. also monroe did not sleep with married men. See how brainwashed you are? she escaped a disgusting company called fox studios because they begged for sex constantly. It is why she was put on drugs, suffered low pay and the same roles over and over. And also the reason why her PR was awful and she was linked to many men. Did you know she was raped in her final year? sinatra and his friends did it also and even her psychiatrist had a go. It was not consensual like hepburn or Kelly's was. Bashing the dead doesn't take away someone's class! People are such sheeple and think they know it all. The masses are sadly eating what they are fed by the media.
I can't say how much I love that you were inspired and brought Funny Face to a new audience. It is an all time favorite movie of mine and you pulled Audrey off stunningly. Maybe Fred would want to take you for a dance now. :)
Lisa, you're as talented as you are beautiful. If I had to name the best makeup artist on the planet, it would be you, it's Friday night and I'm staying in binge-watching your videos. Your product recommendations are the best, by the way, I went out today and bought some and they're brilliant.
There are so many great makeup artists on youtube, but you are by far my favorite! Your voice is so soothing and peaceful, the way you apply makeup is pure grace, you are so gentle with your skin. I love all the explanations and background information you give. But most of all I fancy your awesome tips and tricks. From how to make makeup last long, make it look natural or the different ways to apply one lipstick. You are so beautiful!
I love the history you bring into your videos. And when you said that if you made your eyebrows too sharp you'd look angry, all I could think of was the Seinfeld episode where Jerry's uncle draws his eyebrows on with a Sharpie. Your eyebrows, on the other hand, looked really good and are now my eye brown inspiration.
I'm just amazed every single time at how unbelievably good you are with make up. you're my favourite make up artist by far and absolutely inspirational!!! it's fascinating watching you and seeing how you pick up on every single detail and feature of a face to create the perfect look. So impressive!!!! xxx
Lisa I was so excited to see this! I loved your Breakfast at Tiffany's video (I watch Audrey's films all the time for beauty inspiration) and this tutorial was beautiful too. The make-up suits your features so well. Just Stunning! X
I didn’t catch this video the first time around. Your inner geek was well established back then, which only makes you’re win of her actual lipstick story, more beautiful. X
It may sound pretty weird, but I love the sound of your rings. I think that is so you.. The klicking sound! You are an amazing woman and a true inspiration! Love from Germany!
this was absolutely amazing. You had such a beautiful balance to your makeup-nothing was over the top. The transformation was also a pleasant surprise and now i really want those pair of diamond earring. The history of makeup b/t audrey hepburn and her makeup artise was very interesting again. I love you work , elegance annd class.
oh lisa!! i'll never be as glamorous, classy or sophisticated as you are but thanks for helping me try. have a wonderful christmas and all the best for the new year.
During this entire video i was looking at your eye only. So hypnotizable. Its like so unreally beautiful. Loved this make over specially the eye part. Simple yet so elegant.
After watching loads of RUclips "gurus" and then Lisa, WOW. What a difference. You can definitely tell who the professional is. She isn't "absolutely literally OBSESSED" with everything. Veey refreshing.

Ruth S. ruth youre soooo right
+Ruth S. you are dead on with this comment! they could take a few pages out of Lisa's book! xo
+LuLu Renee - I could have written that comment myself! It's so true. It's a breath of fresh air watching a sensible adult MUA who knows what she's talking about and isn't trying to peddle anything.
You are more than a makeup artist, Lisa, you're a makeup master! The best of the best.
I agreeee
she's the queen of make up for me! :D

100% agreed!
ikr. She wears so much. I used to take her seriously because she seemed to wear less and knowledgeable but in real life outside she wld look like a clown
+Maria Nikki does overdo foundation, concealer and contouring. I think she's always aiming for the "airbrush effect" which can get really tacky sometimes.
+Doll Face both of them apply their makeup the way that makes them happy- no need to put down one to raise up tge other
Manda Bane I'm not putting down anyone. I'm just stating that she does a lot of contouring. How the hell is that putting her down? lol Jesus.
!!!!!!! Today is my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present! Two of my favorite things: Lisa Eldridge and Audrey Hepburn :) Thank you so much Lisa. You really made my day xx
Happy Birthday Shayna X
Lisa Eldridge WOW this is spot on! It's actually amazing how you are able to change your eye shape from one video to another. I have a BIG request...could you please do a post or a video on all the movies that you watch for makeup and fashion inspiration?
Yessssssss favorite makeup movies please!!
Thats a really nice idea thanks ... there are a lot! X
Her videos are soooo soothing! This lady has this mezmerizing humble kind of class, she doesn't overdo anything and her art is so smooth!
Lisa with false eyelashes: I'm going to just drop them on and it'll be flawless.
Me with false eyelashed: I'm going to just drop them on- aaand now they are glued to the top of my eyelid, great.
I don't know why but I find this video and her voice so comforting
Lauren Rauh, I bet you would enjoy listening to Maria. She has an ASMR channel called gentlewhispering
We always get a little history lesson with your videos too, I love that!
"Hope you like the look?" I looooove it lol. Merry Christmas to you in advance and thank you for all your great tips and amazing video. I know my Christmas and New Years Eve are going to be amazing thanks to you :-) Bisous de Paris !

You look like Natalie Portman, you are gorgeous !! xoxo from France

Isn't it the best thing when someone has put so much effort in for others? I have watched many Audrey Hepburn looks and this is by far THE BEST!
this is the best beauty channel on youtube
I wanna try that lip trick and see what kind of effect it has on me.
I love your final reveal. It's like a transformation.
You are absolutely stunning. Love always!
Love how you can notice how she really enjoys doing this makeup! So gorgeous 💕
It is such a pleasure to see someone pay such care and attention to their craft! You and and Audrey have different types of gorgeousness but you share the same effortless elegance!

I could watch your videos for hours, mesmerised at how beautiful your makeup looks always are & how gracefully you apply it!
Please do the Audrey makeup in the turquoise-blue eye mask scene in breakfast at Tiffany's.

It's so glamorous! You could fit into a vintage makeup ad perfectly!
I actually gasped at the end when you had your hair up and the diamonds on, you looked stunning!!!! Beautiful look on you!
Not only do I watch a make up tutorial, but I really learn about make up.. Time period, artists, colors, trends, application.. Wow💋
Oh la la, the epitome of elegance and class!
Love the story about Audrey and her makeup artist.
I love your tutorials because you explain why everything is done. There is reason behind every brush stoke. Lisa, you truly teach in your videos and the makeup is beautiful and unique each time- thank you :)
I love these vintage makeup looks! Would you do a Grace Kelly or Elizabeth Taylor look? Like Rear Window, or Cleopatra? That would be great.
Each video is a master class in brilliance! I adore the snippets of information you share along the way. You are simply wonderful, thank you!
I can't help it Lisa, I'm always impressed and inspired by your creations
The brows! Oh my gosh, how can they look so natural? People try to do far more natural looking brows and they just come out overdrawn... And you pull these thick brows like nobody's business. They look great on you, if I can say so :)
Audrey is my favourite. And you've nailed it once again.
Lisa, I think you look wonderful with Audrey's style makeup on. It's perfect for your kind of eye-shape! Love this tutorial so much.
Audreys style was different to this really!
Love your classy looks as always. All other youtubers are all doing colorful smoky eyes, while your looks are always so elegant and wearable. Love your work!

I really enjoy these "character" studies.. but would love to see more technical tutorials from you. I learned so much from the ones you did in the past.
You are the best. The end.
Your make up skills are like magic, and what I like best is that you make it seem so easy and look so effortless. Just fantastic!
I've just looked at a still of Audrey Hepburn from this film and you've done an amazing job. She was one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.
Gosh, she is just stunning! Absolutely my most favorite makeup artist ever!
Thank you so so much for doing a Funny Face look! It's my favorite Hepburn look and there really are no tutorials on the Funny Face look out there and I have been waiting for a while for one. Thank you so much for being an amazing makeup artist who blesses us with your knowledge

How could anyone give this a thumbs down?! Your work is magnificent!
I would love to see more Audrey Hepburn themed tutorials. You do such a wonderful job.
Oh my goodness, you look stunning! I gasped when I saw you with all those diamonds.
So professional! Love your videos. xo Team Zoe
I love how you do drugstore makeup along with high end makeup brands
I love this, especially the tidbits about historical trends. You make a lovely "Funny Face".
Natural class and sophistication light makeup not a whole bottle
I never comment on RUclips videos, but you with the diamonds really took my breath away. Gorgeous!
It hit me while you were doing the eye makeup, but you resemble Lena Headey quite a bit.
Thank you Padma for such a lovely comment. Im very happy you find my tips and tricks awesome! X
Woooow i love how those eyebrows look on you!! Bold but really natural! Real skills right there
"Simpatico" is not lovely, it's more like funny...a person that's pleasant and fun to be with. ;) great tutorial
You have just mentioned a piece of Italy we can still be proud of!!! thanks and a great kiss from Italy..have a nice Christmas
I swear, Lisa. You were sent from the cosmetic gods to guide us on our magical make-up journey. Thank you for this beautiful look.
I'm just amazed every single time at how unbelievably good you are with make up. you're my favourite make up artist by far and absolutely inspirational!!! it's fascinating watching you and seeing how you pick up on every single detail and feature of a face to create the perfect look. So impressive!!!! xxx
Audrey was truly gorgeous inside and out she is irreplaceable 💋💋💋 you did job bringing her to life
THIS IS AMAZING! FUNNY FACE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE. THE DIAMONDS SUIT YOU LISA!
Omg! You really embodied Audrey's aura of elegance! Loved it :)
My mother LOVED those coral shades of lipstick. I can remember the scent of them. She came of age in the 50s so that makes sense.
13.22- Stunned with your beauty when you look up remembering the diamonds!
Lisa I was so excited to see this! I loved your Breakfast at Tiffany's video (I watch Audrey's films all the time for beauty inspiration) and this tutorial was beautiful too. The make-up suits your features so well. Just Stunning! X
Ha, my mum always separates her eyelashes with a pin. It used to terrify me when I was a child. This is such a beautiful look!
I didn’t catch this video the first time around. Your inner geek was well established back then, which only makes you’re win of her actual lipstick story, more beautiful. X
I love how you don't use a ton of makeup to achieve these looks. Best of the best!
It may sound pretty weird, but I love the sound of your rings. I think that is so you.. The klicking sound!
You are an amazing woman and a true inspiration! Love from Germany!
I thought there would be no more videos from you this year, it's such an amazing surprise! Thank you so much Lisa, amazing as always!!
Looks a bit of Natalie Portman! :)

The transformation was also a pleasant surprise and now i really want those pair of diamond earring. The history of makeup b/t audrey hepburn and her makeup artise was very interesting again. I love you work , elegance annd class.

I really want to see you doing a 1920's makeup that would be my dream come true
your such an inspiration
I love that you give some background info on the looks you're doing - so interesting!
During this entire video i was looking at your eye only. So hypnotizable. Its like so unreally beautiful. Loved this make over specially the eye part. Simple yet so elegant.
