- Here's my after action report on a game I played on PlayDiplomacy.com, "The One Game to Rule Them All." It was game number 182593, and I played it on the classic map.

This video is about the game of Diplomacy, an American strategic board game created by Allan B. Calhamer in 1954 based on the European Great Powers in the years leading up to World War I. The game was the favorite of John F. Kennedy and Henry Kissinger. Seven (7) players control the respective powers of England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, and Turkey and fight for world domination (control over Europe), using negotiations, diplomatic skill, tactics, and grand strategy to establish covert deals, attack mutual enemies, and backstab established allies. A "stab" is the word for betraying your ally.
TL;DR: Diplomacy is basically Risk without the dice, or chess with seven players on a world map.
I was guessing all game which position you’d be taking … interesting suprise!

@floridaman Could you answer a question of mine relating to a game of diplomacy? Basically it involves a decision between choosing to ally myself with a defective England or a reasonably good France player as Germany.
I can't give advice that would be relevant to your specific game without knowing about your specific game. However, I don't think any geographic alliance is so terrible just because of the position of the map that it should overcome the difficulty of working with a difficult partner.
