I always enjoy your videos The shooting comparisons are on point. The way you break things down helps out I bought both markers I'm very pleased with both
Hey, thank you guys so much for doing this! I’m the first one to ask you do this review in the last comparison & really appreciate you guys following through👍🏽 I’m new to paintball this year & have a copper DSR+ and wasn’t sure if I made the right decision, truly appreciate you guys & will be getting something from punisher’s paintball soon💯🤙🏽
Great review. I’ve been a Planet Eclipse fan boy for 15 years and counting and have owned just about almost every high end PE markers. However I’ve had the opportunity to shoot booth LV2(new) and DSR+(new) and I’m going to give DSR+ the “W” as far as smooth buttery shots. I own a LV1.6 and I think my 1.6 shoots better than most of the LV2 and yes I know the LV2 needs to be broken in for the shots to become smoother. I’m not impressed with the LV2.
Great video. I think it's interesting that you gave the DSR + the win on weight then said that LV2 "kicked" less and was a smoother shot. The 2 ounce difference may be what gives that feeling of smoothness. I think that so often we think lighter is better, but there is a trade off that rarely gets mentioned. Just my thoughts. I agree the value is the DSR+, but after shooting the LV2 I want one.
I thought I was crazy to think my DSR + is the smoothest marker out or just right below the LV line. Looks like you guys feel the same. I love my DSR+. love the way the DSR+ melts in your hands. LV2 I love the shot and I love that the center of gravity feels lower than the LV 1.6. It’s more fun to shoot unless you play the #1 on the snake.
why not put the LV2 against the M3+ I would love to see that comparison since both guns have the same price range and in terms of tech the m3+ has more to offer than the DSR+ imo. I would also in this comparison would go for the dsr+ due to the price. but i am currently looking into getting either the lv2 or the dsr m3+. but have not found a good video detailing both of them. Aside from that love the way yall did this video gain a sub
Really nice review. I didnt like the DSR + thought the feedneck and ASA were very bad for a mid to high end marker (probably the worst in that price point for all markers). Might have been my DSR + but the feedneck was very stiff and not smooth closing. It felt like they had metal shavings in the lever portion (very gritty). I do know that Dye does have triggers for the DSR+ including 3d printable ones, and you can get a thumb screw for the feedneck too. I have never owned an LV2 but it felt big, and heavy. The trigger frame felt a little too thick for my hands. Overall great video! I would love to see you guys do a bag check for your team, so we can see what's in your team's bag.
I love my DSR+ But I agree it should’ve shipped the Slap ASA that comes on the M3+ or at least been designed so it’s upgradable to it. As for the feedneck lever it hurt my soul feeling and hearing it scrape the Ano on the marker the first time tightened it. I ordered the thumbscrew so I don’t do it again
for almost $1000 price difference, you can get barrel backs for the dsr+ off marketplace for like $90 and still be doing better, and the Im pro kit and freeflow flex-9 bolt you'd still be under the cost for the lv2. The lv2 is also a chunky boy
A couple of things y'all didn't point out when comparing these is y'all forgot to mention that the DSR+ also has an sfr adjustment and the DSR is mech capable.
good video guys, but the comparison of the LV2 would have to be vs the M3+, what is the reason for not comparing the 2 equal top of the range greetings from Spain😉
I'm always shocked when people talk about reliability. In 33 years of paintball I think I may have shot one or two guns that weren't reliable. Just lube them, keep them clean and most importantly do NOT super tune them. Set it and forget it settings......no problems ever.
Please, when you describe the shot characteristics don't use the term blowback. Blowback in paintball terms is either a Spyder type marker, or when a marker fires and the bolt isn't completely sealed in the breach and therefore causes a gas to vent up the feedneck.
Back again. So the soft short and less air efficiency goes to the DSR+ But the LV2 is really hard to beat on its soft shot as well. Con dsr+ has and owners group common complaints are the air efficiency sucks, some oring needs to be replaced. That dosen't mean it's a terrible marker by any means. 2022 I would say behind the gun The LV2 and DSR+ are both great. My pick is still lv2. It has a better barrel out of the box. PE package, warranty, the shot is more pleasing. If the dsr+ was more air efficiency and had multiple barrel backs. It would definitely win. That's just not the case here.
The LV2 is a fantastic marker, but I’d have to disagree on a few points about the Barrels. I think Dye have the best barrel bore quality in the industry and the UL tip is just quieter than the PE and UL-S front. Also considering the difference of $600 you can buy all the UL 7” or UL-S 8” Barrel back sizes you need for $40-50 each, along with a mech frame for $250 and the Ironman Pro Kit for $90 which Improves air efficiency and shot consistency, also a lot leaks come down to people not sufficiently lubing the Orings and not tightening the Screws enough for the ASA. Exault also makes a feed neck thumbscrew for the nitpicky people. I will say the LV2 pops ASA is far better than the DSR+ it should’ve came with a Slaps ASA like the M3+, but all things considered I would say the DSR+ wins in my book.
Thats how you do a comparison! Great job guys
Very informative and well planned comparison with actual shooting experience at the end. 👌
We're here to please, man! Thank you!
I always enjoy your videos
The shooting comparisons are on point. The way you break things down helps out
I bought both markers I'm very pleased with both
If y'all get bored one day I'd like to see you guys put Dye barrels on different guns and see how quiet they get

What settings did the dsr+ shoot in?
I thought I was crazy to think my DSR + is the smoothest marker out or just right below the LV line. Looks like you guys feel the same.

In the early 2000s we never thought a poppet would be quiter and smoother than a spool gun
LV2 hands down

Someone at the local field let me shoot their DSR+ and it felt SO amazing 🔥🔥

So I know Doug is a big Shocker guy and I saw his reaction shooting the LV2, so what does he think between the Shocker Amp and LV2?
Great question!
Where’s Keegan?
Keegan left the paintball industry to pursue his dream career in 3D printing and design! We still love each other, don’t worry ;)
A couple of things y'all didn't point out when comparing these is y'all forgot to mention that the DSR+ also has an sfr adjustment and the DSR is mech capable.
Great video though regardless just wanted to point those 2 things out. Buy at Punishers guys!
Cs2 or lv2?
good video guys, but the comparison of the LV2 would have to be vs the M3+, what is the reason for not comparing the 2 equal top of the range
greetings from Spain😉
We had multiple requests for this video. We will be doing a m3 vs lv2 as well!

Lmao bright green balls to see the ropes as they are shooting with a green background 🤣
they are both great markers. my opinion though Lv2 has alot of more points but is $500 more than the DSR+
you guys rock!
Do a geo4 vs lv2!!!!!!!
OK. Oil IS lube. Lube is short for lubricant or lubrication. The regs use GREASE.

Bro read the decimals for the weight wrong. But I get the jist if it.

I love my lv 1.6 I bought from you guys enjoy the gift card 😂
nice & snug = 1/4 turn fellas
lv2 for me just bc its a poppet
Dsr+ may have a good shot but it feels gawd awful in my hands almost like a plastic nerf gun coning from cs2/luxe
First
Zero comparison! Planet Eclipse rules !
I appreciate the honest review. If you ever have feedback to the dye team you can reach out to me on FB.
