First: A thumbs-up for the Slayer reference in your band name. Second: A thumbs-up for the track. Third: A thumbs-up for your honesty regarding soldering skills. Fourth: A thumbs-up for problem solving by scraping the pup tabs on the sidewalk. Fifth: A thumbs-up for your playing and the format of the comparison. Short passages and quick changes make it a lot easier for the listener. Sixth: A thumbs-up for your honest assessment. In short, you deserved more than just one up-vote for this effort. By the way, have you tried wax-potting the new pups? That might be the cure for the squealing. The manufacturer probably gave it a shot, but they're not going to be extensively testing a $20 pickup.
Get an empty can, strip paper, place in sauce pan with water half up, use any old wax, candles, paraffin, soy, beas or any combination of same. Heat till melted and dip pickup by wires, when bubbles stop it's done. Lay on paper towel. Remove excess wax. That's it.
I guess you don't ever play clean tones? Down tuned and distorted makes it harder to hear the pickup but if that's all you care about then that's what this video did. I have a set of inv. Clones but I haven't installed them in my olp wolfgang yet. With four wires I will use a push/pull for split coil and find out how they sound in o/d and clean. Anyway good for gainy down tuned for sure.
I own a Fender Player HSS Stratocaster (alder body, maple neck and ebony fingerboard). I recently got an SH-8 Invader humbucker and I have a question: which single coils will work well with this pickup? I will also add that I play heavy music such as rock and metal. Rock on, guys...🤘
Im shocked with how good these sound. Honestly in the past MOST $20 pickups wpuld sound terrible. Mabye the companies making them figured out the right windings/magnets to sound great. Im definitely buying 2 sets!!
I put those bad boys in my jackson Warrior. They crank!!!!! I was surprised!! The price and the crisp, bad ass sound!!! Best deal.

the clones sound excellent , and worth it if youre not gonna use it with an amp turned up loud.
Just bought some invader clones too for my legator ninja performant Floyd rose, can't wait to see how the white goes with the purple burl.

Honestly great tone on both. Awesome bite to your sound.
Thank you! I quickly took the pickups out after I learned how much they squealed when turned up loud in the jamspace lol
For a if you want a good comparison start out with a clean sound.
I have an Invader clone pickup, called "Persuader", installed in my Les Paul...I LOVE IT!!! Rock on everyone!! 🤙

Impressive! Great content in your channel!
Thank you! :)
Please post the link for chinies pickups !
Thinking about dropping one in the bridge of a Kramer striker , whats your opinion?
they only thing i would warn you about is that they squeal pretty bad at high volumes when playing through an amp. totally fine for recording though!
@@falseflagstudio perhaps wax potting might help here?
I definitely think it would help! @@mercatorjubio3804
Like the clone. Clarity

I literally heard zero difference. Maybe because I have the soundtrack to Titanic playing in the background.
El sonido me recuerda a Fear factory
If you're pickups are not potted follow directions below;
invader copy is much better!
Great video, subbed!
