- Carp fishing with solid bags is a very popular way to catch carp. The method feeder is a long forgotten tactic but in my opinion it gives the same sort of presentation. In this carp fishing video I use solid bags against method feeders to see which is the best tactic to catch carp from a day ticket carp fishery Coking farm.

Great video simon and nice to see a bit about the method feeder which sadly is a rather forgotten way of carp fishing most people nowadays think its a method for bagging up on comercial fisheries but its a very good big carp catcher im old enough to remember matt hayes and other famous anglers using it to great effect 20yrs ago infact the famous parco di brenta in italy its one of the most popular methods there and the carp are huge so not a small fish method cheers bud a great watch as always tightlines
Yeah I've always loved the method, it doesn't work everywhere I've found but if it does work you can smash waters apart with it 👍

Great video Simon, I have been using a method feeder on my local water and you are correct. Some times it would prove to be the way to fish then other times I really have to work at it. Keep the videos coming great to see some nice catches.

The tubing helps protect the fish as well as anti tangle bare line removes the scales while playing them
What about zig or floater fishing?
You got one of the best swims on the lake.

Hi David I use esp synchro 15lb most of the time. It's good line I probably change it once a year but always strip off the last 30 yards every few trips when it starts getting a bit tatty 👌

Great vlog Simon, just wondered when I use a method feeder I cast every 10 mins on a timer, how long did you leave the method out.
Cheers mate I started out casting every 15 mins and then left it longer once I felt I had enough bait in the area.

Cheers fella. I must admit I've not needed to cast that far in my fishing for a while so I'm out of practice! I was hitting it fairly consistently at the time though. Maybe I'll try to 35 Wraps 🤘
