  • In this series, we look at the characters behind the Marvel Snap cards, recapping their origin, their powers, looking at how well they fit their card, and giving you something to read.
In this video, we're looking at the ultimate X-Men's living supercomputer, Sage.

Her card feels like doing math so that’s on point

  • @mapwheel00

Given that Xavier recruited her early, it retroactively makes her an original X-man. That's always a fun bit of trivia.

I was never big on Sage, but I've actually grown to like her in the Krakoan era. I don't normally like storylines that deal with alcoholism or addiction as they are so overdone in all media, but I actually felt for her. As someone who finds it hard to switch their brain off, I can sort of sympathise.

  • @jaysmith7062

She has always been underrated. Whenever anyone asks me what superpower I want, I always say hers (and then have to explain who tf she is).

  • @TheSoulDivided

"she's not secretly related to anybody" oh, I'm sure they can fix that lol

  • @bensneb360

I’ve always had a soft spot for Sage, sometimes about her style and attitude is fun

  • @fit7price

I love her, she's a DUNE-style Bene-Gessirit and Mentat all in one. She turned her powers inward, she's the ultimate goth (sorry Selene). Very Frank Herbert idea, in BSDM leathers or Matrix latex, because Claremont 😂

  • @christopherbennett5858

Sage is an interesting one. She was also the one who extended out to the Xmen the truce between them and the Hellfire club in the 80’s. Considering where she was found, she might be Iranian.

  • @juanmacias5922

I CAN'T WAIT for your video on the latest X-Men '97 episode haha

  • @willbeaty6892

This is why I love this channel. A lesser YTer would have used a Sage video to dunk on late stage Claremontisms. But you came at it earnestly, and I respect that.

  • @jerfuhrer2581

Sage always wears things that just over the left shoulder. Like, she LOVES those asymmetrical tops

  • @Sandra-rc5uc

I love her. Claremont‘s 2000s stuff is mostly lackluster but the Sage-retcon is the one stroke of brilliance he did.

  • @jordanlayton6540

Me on Reign of X vol 4 hearing Nando call Krakoa “this modern age that just ended” 😩

  • @spellxthief

love her name. honestly everything about her character seems right up my alley too! definitely going to look into reading her comics

  • @Axeloy
    @Axeloy  +3

ok i think i love her

  • @pattongilbert

Ohhhh, so that’s who’s on that cheesecake cover of Xtreme X-Men I have!😄

  • @spliffsforbreakfast

So she’s a supercomputing alcoholic telepath, a part time secret spy, part time detective, controls her physiology on a molecular level,

  • @MaidenOfAir

Ms Marvel is actually unique cost, not power. I got excited over the same thing before realizing that they’re different conditions

  • @GOTHICYOKEL

I feel like judging Bishop for the Hope Summers stuff is the same as judging Wolverine for overseeing a Japanese internment camp during WWII. Character assassination that's best left in the past

  • @Lionsden99

    "Lady" in the chair.
