I know I’m a year late, but I was really curious if I had 512 eggs would that mean that one of the eggs would guarantee to hatch as a shiny? I’m unsure as to how the specifics of this works.
Probability doesn't work like that. Every egg you hatch is rolled against a 1 in 682 chance like the it's the first egg you have ever hatched. it's all 1 in 682 or whatever the specific odd is. That means you could hatch 682 eggs and not get a shiny. Hell you could hatch 10,000 eggs and not get a shiny. HOWEVER, there is a phenomenon in statistics called the rule of large numbers, which basically says the more times you roll a chance based event, the closer you get to its true probability. Meaning if you flipped a coin 10 times even though it's a 50/50 chance, you may not get an even distribution of 5 heads and 5 tails. But if you flipped that coin a thousand times you would likely see a distribution close to 50/50 such as 560 heads and 440 tails. All this is to say that if you keep hatching eggs, you will get a shiny, and it will likely average out to one in every 682* (or whatever the actual probability is). Happy hunting :)
They need to fix the shiny odds. Wasting 30 plus hours of my life isn’t the best. Ebay will still be shiny and I can’t tell the “difference” between it and the “original.”
i usually have great luck with shinnies especially with the radar but this treecko hunt is killing my vibe for them my pc is completely full of hatched eggs and still nothing im starting to think i've used all my good luck now im being cursed

Its just by the language so yes long as the languages of the Pokemon are diffrent it will work! :)

I reccomend releasing the 5 after your done and moving to the new set. It takes 30 seconds but its worth it.
