Eevee, lake guardians, national dex dont need post game to get them. National dex gets you eevee and you can do that with 2 badges. Lake guardians are available after beating the legendary and team galactic.

No, you did not used to have to catch every Pokémon to get the National dex, you only had to see every Pokémon.
Rotom was tricky. You had to Look it up in some Kind of book.

D/P/P and the remakes are the only games in the clasic series that don't require you to catch all pokemon.
You cannot get Regigigas until you get the other regis, he will be there but you will not be able to battle him until then

But the guy in the video said he didn't have the other Regis but he was able to fight regigigas

@@danieldishon688 The guy in the video said that's where you can get regigigas. He never showed you can fight it at that time, probably hasn't had the time to actually test it. Don't put wards in his mouth lmao.
@@1500Sachem my inference was a reasonable one based on what was presented in the video. Don't get hostile with me for false information presented in by the video maker. He said you get access to Reggigigas and even explained his activating the event by talking to the damn gaurd. If he still couldn't fight the pokemon after that he should have mentioned it.
You dont actually have to hunt down mesprit seeing it and making it disappear in the initial encounter will add it to your pokedex as seen.

The Lake Guardians are available as soon as you catch Palkia or Dialga atop Mt. Coronet at Spear Pillar. They aren't postgame at all and are available before you even obtain the beacon badge. Also, small correction in this segment, original DP and Platinum only required you to see every Pokemon as well. You didn't have to catch them.

Talk to the old lady in the upper middle house of celestic town and she will show you the other box legendary that you don't have
Just like with platinum, if you fought every trainer you should have seen every sinnoh pokemon, unlocking the battle zone
Regigigas now requires that you have caught the 3 regis first.
You can catch all the lake spirits way before finishing the game, as soon as you talk to rowan in canalave they get unlocked.
Make sure you are getting berries from the berry master and planting every day that you play, it takes ages to get all the berries if you are into competitive play.

Great guide! Probably worth mentioning that Drifloon can only be encountered on Fridays at a specific place (to complete the Sinnoh dex).
Bro you never ever have to catch all pokemon to get the natural dex, the only reason why you have to see everything is because the professor In gen 4 just researches them.

I just beat this game and did nothing else in it… and now I discovered that apparently there’s a blink method for shiny hunting on it so now that’s my goal :) all of them are available for me to hunt except for Dialga since I got a normal version of him in game already

Yes, you're correct, this is the only game where you only have to SEE/ENCOUNTER every pokemon (which can include battling it if an NPC or gym leader etc uses one) to complete the dex. In every other game you need to catch/have them all.

You don't need to catch it when it disappears. Once Mesprite disappears it shows up in your Sinnoh Dex

Misconception: You don’t need to CATCH the Pokemon to complete the dex you just need to encounter them (you can find them in Trainer battles and other ways)

But um i can't get to stark mountain though?? I haven't fought in the prior place where you get points and you can trade them for things. Does that affect why i can't go to stark mountain? There's no way through lol

You didn't have to catch the pokemon on DPP to unlock the National Dex. Just had to seen then. Manaphy, for example, was on a page of a book
Just FYI, if you change the time on your switch you'll be on a cooldown for 24 hours for changing the time
this time Dialga puts you on time out and stops time if you decide to try and time travel
I changed my time to Friday for the driftloon and got it immediately no penalty.
Also a good tip, if you forget some of the things you can do, you can return to the professors lab and talk to dawn out front and she will tell you a couple things you can do, if you haven’t done them yet. Such as telling you to talk to the girl for eevee

It's not the third lake guardian you come across, btw, it's always Mesprit, whatever order you go after them in

Only thing you didn’t mention was catching feebas in the cave leading up to the spear pillar mountain and needing dry poffins to max out its beauty stat and needing a heart scale to evolve it to a milotic.
Cynthia has a Milotic so you don’t need to do anything with feebas
@@landoswallace5168 it’s in the post game where you can catch it. Obviously you can see milotic and it’ll count towards the national Dex. But if you want to catch one, it requires much more.

You got a lot of things wrong here.
1. You don't need the post game to get a Milotic
2. The item that was used in past games to evolve Milotic was called the prism scale, Heart scales is the item used to relearn moves.
and 3. You don't need the prism scale anyways cause you can just max out it's beauty stat. Hell I don't even think the prism scale is even in the game right now.
I've heard if I failed catching dialga/palkia, if I beat the elite 4, I can battle them again, I just want to know if it's true so I can progress through the game and stack up on pokeballs
I was also reading something about the original games. If you bring palkia, dialga, mesprit and them and giratina i think it was. To celestic town, you can unlock a Pokémon?? I couldn’t find much more about it. Don’t know if it is true for bdsp. The post also mentioned that they caught all of them in premier balls and didn’t level the Pokémon up.
One thing he didn’t mention in order to get giggas Regi you need to catch the other 3 Regis from ramanas park first

You don't have to pick just one rotom form you can get them all and change it whenever using the rotom catalog
What happens when I remove the cartridge will it affect the outbreaks, my main intention getting spinda 1.3.0 and past few days have gotten bored and no luck getting spinda, may I get solution .

Fittingly it's easy to find the trainer with the Pokemon you are looking for by just asking Google where to find it in the (original) Diamond.
Serebii has a list of trainers who has which pokemon. I used it for Aipom and Wormadam

Ive gotten into the hall of fame after becoming champion and i still cant go to the battle tower because the sailor’s out of fuel from taking my rival. What do you mean by patch the game? What do i need to do?

I really hope they make a game where all the regions are connected and you can travel anywhere and start wherever you want. I know it would be a long game, but what I’m thinking is why can’t they make it optional. I’m not even asking for every region. Just Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. They connected Kanto and Johto by train, and Hoenn and Sinnoh are islands. It seems pretty simple to me, but I’m not a game developer. I could live without the option to customize my character and clothing, although I really like that option, it makes the game feel more realistic somehow. It sounds fun to travel the world and have Pokémon, do battles, make friends with them, participate in contests and ruin team rockets day. Sorry this got so long, nice video.
Hold up, I'm confused. Don't you need to have already captured Regice, Regirock, and Registeel in order to activate Regigigas?
I already had all three when I did Snowpoint Temple, but I am fairly certain that Regigigas just acts like a statue until you have the other three captured.
Yeah I went into snowpoint earlier and he was just a statue. I have to get Regirock and Regice before I can progress.

I can assure you in the older versions you as well just needed to see all sinnoh pokémon, that didn't change

and flee from both azelf and uxie
this will mark them in your pokedex and you can still come back to shiny hunt them later (uxie and azelf respwan after beating the elite 4 for as long as you don’t CATCH them)
this is true for all legendaries btw
im just pissed off as i was watching this video i was going to find the other regis and mespirit appeared i had max repel on and wasnt even lookn for it i paniced swapped into a poke with yawn and completely forgot legends like to flee im so mad. i think mespirit is the only worth while pokemon to use masterball on right? or is it creselia?? darkrai
@@vincentvincent2658 for the wandering pokemon you should go to their location
save the game
use repel (because it keeps other pokemon away but doesn’t work on the legendaries if you manage to have a pokemon in front that is between the level of the wild pokemon and the legendary)
the go into the battle and use a pokemon with mean look so that the legendary can’t flee
then treat it like any other pokemon
also for mesprit you should use a dark type pokemon (umbreon) because mesprit cannot damage a dark type pokemon with its moveset
for crescellia you could use a sableye becaue it also learns mean look and is a dark ghost type and therefore immune to all of crescellias attacks otherwise cresselia is the worst because it can heal

Oh yes, a game crash to investigate. Think it was started after teaming up with Buck. Something happened to were meeting up with trainers would make the game crash. It got fixed after leaving the cave then re-teaming up with Buck.
You cannot change the time on your switch as this game has a mechanic to detect it and lock you out of time based events for 48 hours for doing it
Thats not true at all. You absolutely can and Ive done it. Never locked me out of anything
At least it works with seals in sunyshore, once you get there you can just buy every seal you want simply by switching the day

I’ve completed the game fully offline and now I’m unable to progress to most of these post game events unless I update, in the most recent update are all the glitches patched as I can still menu glitch on v1.0.0

Does Ramanas Park include mythicals? Specifically Deoxys? Because if there's no way to get Deoxys and Darkrai currently then I have no reason to get the game until it gets Home connectivity next year
Mythicals will be events, which includes the Member's Card (Darkrai), Oak's letter (Shaymin), and the Azure Flute (Arceus)
There's a void glitch to get shaymin. People will probably find one for darkrai. But not* sure about arceus.

Because this isn't Platinum. This is a Diamond and Pearl remake.

i battled the majority of trainers i could find and after i beat the elite four and cynthia for the first time i was only 5 pokemon short of seeing the entire Sinnoh Dex

Shiny charm only works for eggs in this game I believe
@@moondrip1 that kinda sucks for the work you have to do to catch evolve all those Pokemon there are about 400 ish in the national Pokedex in brilliant diamond and shinning pearl but the odds with the poke radar are 1/99 after 40 chain so not bad.
