    Thanks for watching! What's your BDSP Battle Tower Record? And who's on your team?
    Also, I forgot to mention in this video, but Palmer's second team (on the 49th battle) is Heatran, Cresselia, and Regigigas. One Pokemon that I found to be strong against this team is Crawdaunt with its Hidden Ability (Adaptability). Either way, I think you want to have a Dark type on your team when you face Palmer's second team, so that his Cresselia can't touch you (its only attacking move is Stored Power).

      I haven't had 40 streak yet. The team i use in single battles are Dragonite,Latias and Suicune. I sometimes change my team. I do that for different strategies.

    • @MadSharx
      @MadSharx 2 года назад +1

      I play in master class and keep changing my team, currently using dd lum berry gyarados, cm leftovers cresselia and adamant choice scarf garchomp. I might try out shell smash focus sash cloyster, choice specs raikou and choice scarf garchomp next. However, there are a few things that I don't agree with your battle tower suggestions:
      -azelf is a glass cannon, and I believe that it needs 2 attacks to defeat the opponents pokemon most of the time, but it can take 2 hits at best. Might also be hard to find opportunities for setting nasty plot up. Also you forgot to consider that many pokemons in the tower hold a focus sash, so you cannot set up a nasty plot against those because they will defeat azelf while having 1 hp left. Also, focus sash doesn't guarantee you to survive: it can give you a deceiving sense of safety, but there are plenty of scenarios, which can render the sash useless. fake out users, weather conditions like sandstorm, and even attack move effects like an inflicted burn or poison status after barely surviving a fire or poison attack will finish azelf off. Cloyster has similar issues because it is similarly frail, but the difference is that it can break through focus sash / sturdy with shell smash + icicle spear. While azelf and raikou have the same base speed, raikou is more bulky and a little bit weaker than azelf. There isn't much that could ohko raikou besides stab eq.
      -a lum berry (or wacan berry) / or even better the substitute move on gyarados is important because there are plenty of pokemons which like to mess around, and a burned gyarados is completely useless. That said, I can't always set up dd with gyarados as lead, and even if I can afford 1 (and sometimes 2), gyarados gets hit in the meanwhile and is easily revenged killed by a tanky pokemon or such that use priority moves. My gyarados knows waterfall, crunch, substitute and dragon dance for coverage and I switch to garchomp against electric types.
      -garchomp really needs rough skin because it will render the sash of your opponent useless in plenty of cases when switching garchomp in. You cannot safely switch garchomp out against ice moves because they can freeze your gyarados or azelf and thus you lose them for no real reason. I can switch to cresselia because it is so tanky that it doesn't mind to survive a few rounds while being frozen. Without choice scarf, garchomp gets defeated by latios and others. With choice scarf, adamant nature is probably best. Swords dance is an option if you give garchomp a focus sash, which it doesn't even need most of the time, and dragon claw is just too weak. Stone edge is an awful move in the battle tower because it has 80 accuracy only, and crunch is pretty useless because a neutral outrage hit deals more damage than a very effective crunch hit. Garchomp needs poison jab to damage fairies and sometimes plants, and the last move slot doesn't really matter. Poison jab also has a 30% chance to poison your target, which is pretty handy against defensive pokemons. I use aerial ace just because there are so many double team spammers.
      The battle tower isn't about the early rounds or tycoon, but about to deal with all kind of teams there, and this gets especially hard in the master class.

  • @DarkAnomaly

    I made it to battle 58, after that the game just activated full cheat mode. Psychic missed 5 times in a row along with other 100 accuracy moves and no they weren't holding items that lower accuracy. The Computer used an electric move I always got Parahaxed instantly. I could go on and on here but I won't, this is the worst version of the Battle Tower I have ever played in the entire series.
    This is 100% FAKE difficulty and nothing else.
    Edit: Gyrados is an excellent Pokemon to use. Fully IV and EV trained and Jolly nature it can destroy most teams in the Battle Tower. Oh and many thanks for this, your guide here was superb. I've been playing Pokèmon since day one but despite that I often struggle with the post game Battle Facilities.

  • @TheSpeep
    @TheSpeep 2 года назад +5

    My personal go to team has been Mixed Infernape as a lead, for a fast, hard hitting, versatile mon that can also just U-turn out if I do run into a bad matchup.
    Calm Mind Cresselia to tank anything, set up and sweep.
    And lastly Choice Band Garchomp, because it tends to be fast enough as is and with a band it hits like a fcking train.
    I'm currently on a 98 win streak, so I think theyre doing pretty well.
    I did try Master Rank once, but the first battle I ran into a Minimize spamming Drifblim, which I could have beaten easily by just stalling it out, but I just did not want to deal with that, so I ran.
    I'd rather sacrifice a 0 win streak than the 20 mins it wouldve taken to stall that thing out of pp.

My streak was broken on battle 35 by being brought down to just Staraptor and i chose brave bird instead of double edge and his last Pokémon was Manectric.

    It took me about 6-8 runs to beat palmers (49) match in singles, but first try im currently at 130 doubles and VERY bored of it.... is doubles supposed to be so much easier? With a scarfed garchomp (earthquake or rockslide) and zapdos discharge i have never come close to losing... if zapdos cant attack i switch to pelipper (unaffected by chomps EQ) with ludicolo in the back and its ezgame. I HIGHLY suggest doubles if youre struggling to make it to master rank

    Swords Dance (not used)
    Adamant Gyarados with Sitrus Berry
    Dragon Dance
    Crunch
    Thrash
    Waterfall
    Timid Infernape with Focus Sash
    Fire Blast
    Grass Knot
    Focus Blast
    Counter
    Garchomp with the choice band can outrage its way through most mons. Dragon type hits most things hard, and I could have switched sword's dance for a move with more coverage but didn't find that I needed it. Gyarados can cover as a secondary sweeper, especially for those pesky ice types. Infernape acts as a hail-mary special attacker fill in where things have gone wrong. Example a high defense mon that has low special defense (Skarmory), Infernape can help out. A physical mon that managed to setup, you can use counter to knock them out. Just don't rely too much on Focus Blast as the 70 accuracy can be unreliable. Grass Knot covers its water weakness and takes down heavy opponents. As opposed to a physical attacker, you don't take recoil damage that would break the sash by using an attack like Flare Blitz, so you're guaranteed to be able to take a hit.
    Palmer's First Team: Switched Abomasnow instead of Infernape with focus sash.
    Palmer's Second Team: Crunch your way through. Waterfall works great on Heatran.
    Mons to watch out for: Weavile or Floatzel Life Orb, both can outspeed Garchomp and one hit with ice. Starmie can hit hard as well. Just have to switch in Gyarados and be careful because they do hit hard.
    Thanks for the guide!

      No, you have 2 different streaks for each type of battle.

    In battle tower, is there an end to battle tower once u have won a certain number of times or is ur battle tower winning streak endless?

    • @iStarlyTV
      @iStarlyTV  2 года назад

      In regular Battle Tower, once you get 49 wins in a row the trainers reset (you start facing easy trainers again). In Master Rank Battle Tower, you can pretty much keep battling endlessly (you get prizes after every 7 wins).

    I swear if there no check points then Nintendo is insane, cause that would be bullsh*t to lose at battle 49 having to start the streak all over again to get back to where you were just to get another chance to defeat Palmer, and to anyone that had this happen to them, I am so sorry for your loss, cause it must have been devastating that all your hard work was for nothing and having to start over all the way back at square one. If that happens to me, I would just hack the win streak, if I could even hack or know how to hack or turn my switch into a hacked switch, cause if Nintendo's gonna play unfair, I will as well, cause I ain't dealing with that bullsh*t

    I really am frustrated with how grindy the battle tower is in this game. One thing SW and SH did better was make mints easy to get. I HATE grinding for weeks just to get my pokemon with useable natures, especially since I always get crappy natures when shiny chaining. I am just spamming the tower with Nidoking special sweeper that covers most types, Tyranitar and Gyarados. They're all pretty braindead and hard hitting. Makes the grind for BP faster.

    • @RamJamDee
      @RamJamDee 2 года назад

      Yeah but the battle tower is really just rng based. Like i got pretty lucky for a while and managed to get pretty far but in the end i lost because of bright powder on the opponent and me missing.

    • @Cyilus_World
      @Cyilus_World 2 года назад +12

      Farm up some synchronize abras or Ralts with different natures and that way u won’t have this problem when shiny hunting or hunting Pokémon just let it die and have it dead in front of your party before u start the hunt and you’re guarantee to get that nature

    • @UnseenEternalStudios

      You can breed these Pokémon yourself. You just have to understand egg groups and have the parent hold destiny knot and power anklet/bracer for the corresponding IV that you want to pass down. There’s more detailed guides for breeding.

    • @Kami-lr5xz
      @Kami-lr5xz 2 года назад

      Breeding basically you get a high iv ditto and breed it with the Pokémon you want and keep hatching eggs until you get a good iv one and then you replace your ditto and you just keep doing it till you get some really good ones it took me like a week to get a 4 iv gible but maybe you’ll have better luck

    • @UnseenEternalStudios
      @UnseenEternalStudios 2 года назад

      You don’t even have to use ditto. Sometimes you’ll need to use egg groups to find a compatible parent. Just look up a breed guide.

    • @Pabmyster
      @Pabmyster 2 года назад

      Easiest way to start out is to look through your box for the pokemon with the highest IVs and breed them (I used a 2 IV ditto I caught by chaining and a 1 IV magikarp I got from an in game trade). Then, you give one of the pokemon a destiny knot (passes 5 combined IVs from parents) and start hatching eggs. Once you get a 3 IV pokemon put that in the daycare for the worst IV one. Eventually you keep going and replacing better IV pokemon and get the ditto/male out for two of the same species. Once you get good IVs, you can try to breed for nature and once you do, give the female an everstone (to pass on the nature of the female). Magikarp is nice to start because it can breed with Garchomp and lots of other dragon/water types that are good, plus it hatches fast.
