    I've been breeding since gen 2, have followed the changes or adjustments through the gens and basically became a professional breeder in SwSh. In my opinion, this is such a comprehensive yet easy to follow and well made guide. Anyone who ever asks me about breeding will be directed here. Fantastic video.

    If you have a Pokemon with the Synchronize ability in the front of your party then any Pokemon you encounter will be guaranteed to have the same nature as your Pokemon with Synchronize. Doing this with the desired nature will essentially let you skip step one of the breeding process and save a bit of time.
    If you're planning on breeding lots of Pokemon with specific natures then I would highly recommend catching lots of Ralts in the underground until you have one of every nature with Synchronize; allowing you to hand pick what natures the Pokemon you catch have. Being able to access your PC boxes anywhere makes this very convenient to do as well since it's so easy to swap them in and out of your party anytime you please.
    Also it's important to note that when you're in the underground the Pokemon's nature is decided upon entering the room; rather than when the Pokemon is encountered.

    • @nova_camova7451
      @nova_camova7451 2 года назад +1

      @@MisterTBag Theoretically yes. I haven't really tried doing it with legendaries myself but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

    • @nova_camova7451
      @nova_camova7451 2 года назад

      @@lachaim It's not possible to transfer the Synchronize ability to another Pokemon; or any ability for that matter. The only way I know of to change a Pokemon's ability is via an ability patch but that only works with hidden abilities and it can't transfer them onto a different Pokemon.

    I am a beginner in this matter. Learned about ev training, cross breeding for egg moves and the use of everstone on breeding. Up until now I believed I would need 2 destiny knot, one per parent. Good to know I just need one and the other can hold an everstone. Time to farm dittos and get them to 2 or 3 perfect IVs at least. Thank you for your teachings.

    Just recently discovered this video and it was extremely comprehensive and helpful because I haven't really done any serious Pokemon breeding before. Started last night and ended tonight, I went through the effort of catching as many Ditto as I could with the radar and keeping the ones that had at least one perfect IV stat except for speed, which I settled for fantastic instead xD and tonight I managed to get my own flawless Gible, perfect IVs in every stat except for Sp. Attack.

    I gotta give you props and thanks. I've been breeding for iv's all wrong this really helped me make a lot of progress in just 2hrs. I had everything post game as mentioned but no ditto. So as I'm currently hunting I'm getting these ditto blitzes. I've gotten about 20 in about hr and 1 has had 2 perfect ivs and 2 others have had only 1. I dunno if anyone has experienced this but all I did was hit route218 max repel poke radar. It was at about 2 a.m. mesperit or whoever the lake legendary even spawned once

      The oval charm just helps the rate in which the old man will spawn eggs once parents are in the day care it’s not essential just helps speed things up also with hidden abilities as long as a parent Pokemon has one a hidden ability it has a chance to be passed down, hope this helps :)

    I believe you should’ve dug deeper into egg moves as needing to breed a Pokémon with an Egg move can add an extra layer of complication.

    Most of this makes sense and is great! But, why don’t we want a “Best” Sp. Attack IV?

    • @sun_mask482
      @sun_mask482 2 года назад +9

      That is simply down to the Pokemon itself. The Gible evolution line have much higher physical attack stats than special attack stats. Therefore, you will only want to have physical attacking moves on your Gible because they will deal more damage. There isn't really a reason to get a maxed special attack Gible as it is unlikely you will use special attacks, so breeding one this way would usually be a waste of time.
      However, if you were to breed a special attacker, such as an Alakazam, you would instead try to get maxed special attack IVS as they are usually the only moves you will want to use on the pokemon. In the case of Alakazam, it would again be a waste of time to breed physical attack IVS, since you wouldn't want to use physical attacks anyway.
      Of course, there are also some pokemon that might have a mixed move set, with both physical and special attacks, so in that case it would be beneficial to get a flawless IV spread.

    Hi I'm a little to the party, but would it be a good idea to do the Bibarel chain breeding for different egg groups or is this way more effective?

    • @Osirus
      @Osirus  2 года назад

      I think both methods are good options so it’s whichever you’d be more comfortable with I personally prefer the ditto method but that’s because it’s a method I’ve always used. I will be doing a guide on the Bidoof breeding as well so hoping to have that up in the next couple of days which may help make a decision which one is better for you :)

    This Video is absolutely godsend. Perfect and clear explanation, Right to the point, Its ideal. I learned so much and i am so thankfull that you Made this.
    One question tho: i was chaining ditto yesterday and normally when the pokemon has 2 or more perfects you get this Bonus animation. I didnt get it around 30 tho. Like, not exactly at 30 and Not one before or After. Any idea why? Bugged IVs? Bugged animation? Or is it Not even guaranteed…

      Thanks so much for the support Alexander I really appreciate this and that the guide was helpful.
      Super weird situation with the encounter on 30 I haven’t experienced or heard about this happening before it may be a bug/glitch but unsure I will have a dig around to see if I can find anything out and post back if I do

      @@Osirus Ive looked into the boxes after the chain broke (at 39 btw, i was a little salty :P) and the 30th Ditto did indeed have 2 perfect IVs. Just the animation didnt show up. Maybe since the 30th is guaranteed it doesnt "need" to show to you its 2+ perfects?
      I still got enough dittos and 5 Minutes ago my lucky 5 Perfect IV Gible hatched, my first breed ever and thanks to your vid it was surprisingly easy :)

  • @mvk4343
    @mvk4343 2 года назад +1

    I think this is slightly tougher with genderless pokemon, because they can only breed with Ditto, so even if you have a Ditto with a perfect IV in one stat, it will still likely randomise the other bad stats it has. Mostly a nuisance and takes longer, but I really do appreciate this guide nonetheless! Will definitely be easier with non-genderless mons in the future, compared to my Magnemite (which now has a 4 perfect IV spread all thanks to this method).

    I spent all damn morning breeding Feebas, I decided I’m fine with everything above “pretty good” or having “best” on sp atk and defences. I got a good one but not perfect, I’ll never get to the top tier where it makes a huge difference anyway.
