    I guess I don't have enough umph any more. I used to a different method.
    With the bike on the center stand I used some paracord, strong stuff, and a screwdriver. Tied the cord to the foot of the stand and looped it thru that little hole at the bottom. Then ran the cord between the stand hook and the spring hook. tied the other end to the screwdriver and wound it around the upright on the center stand until the two hooks were clear, separated them and then unwound the cord. Install was the same method.

      Sounds like it worked for ya. Everyone has their own method.

    Wunderlich, amongst other companies, make an enlarger piece that slides over and bolts to the bottom of the stock jiffy stand. I've had zero issues and only took me a couple of minutes to put on while the bike was on the center stand.

      I have seen those, you are correct. I just wanted the entire stand.

    Should be standard on the PAS, thank you HD for ripping us off again. Thank you for another great video. A question on the wider foot for on-road - I often find that the stock jiffy stand doesn't always slide nicely on hard surfaces when parking and putting the bike on the jiffy stand, how do you find parking the bike on tarred and concrete surfaces with the wider foot?

      I know what your saying, you have to kinda pull it a touch to get it to slide well. I really did not notice it getting any worse in my opinion. They new HD Softail jiffy stands are really bad about that.

      @@yeagerscycle3450 Thank you. I know about the Softails, I also have an M8 LR, the jiffy stand is a pain.

    Thanks for another great video!! I installed the Adventure stand on my PA and like you said it makes a big difference. Even on pavement I have much more confidence now in the jiffy stand. Where did you get your jiffy stand switch protective cover and your ignition coil protective cover". Thanks!!

      Those are a Dynojet product. They are know making several well made protective items for PA’s.

      That is a Dynajet brand switch cover. Hate to say it but I wouldn’t buy that particular brand on that piece again. I broke very quickly and have heard of others with the same issue.

    How do you get the pan off to install the security module?

      Truth is I’m not sure where the security module is located. Which pan are you referring to?

    Did anyone out there invent a LONGER! side stand for the harley? Thanks Searching for it

      @yeagerscycle3450  3 месяца назад +1

      If your Pan is ARH equipped then you can use a non ARH Pan Am side stand and it is longer. That is what I use.

      @@m2kk I find that I need to lean the bike to the other side more often to get the stand down. Other than that it works well. Also, get the accessory stand, it has a larger foot.

    I have a Pan Am, one problem I have with Harley Davidson and the Pan Am, is that if they make better equipment for the Pan Am, why the fuck don't they fit it to the bike as standard? Are they just taking the piss out of us, by trying to sell us upgrades that should be standard? I love my Pan Am, but it is just stupid that they have better equipment to fit the bike and don't fit it standard. I refuse to buy Harley Davidson accessories that should be standard on this bike. It is not customising the bike, when you are fitting equipment that makes it work better off road, when the original equipment is crap off road. Also, while we are at it, what is going on with the stupid plastic rack and grab rails, it is not robust enough to use to lift the bike and has a stupidly low load rating. My 1988 Lowrider doesn't have all of this plastic crap and stupidity.
