    Here is my positive, empowering and (relatively) easy birth story! I am SO thankful for an easy delivery, especially after the drama during my 39th and 40th week. If you are about to become a new mom, I hope my birth story will assure and empower you.

    Thank you SO much for sharing! I'm 41 + 4 today and will be on the induction call list starting tomorrow. I started having prodromal labour right at 39 weeks, and the last 2 1/2 weeks have been so mentally exhausting with constantly getting hopes up and then things not progressing. I COMPLETELY felt your frustration with not knowing about false labour- I said almost the same thing to my husband, why is it I have been reading books, been on all the sites and apps, have an OBGYN and a doula and somehow had no idea that this was a possibility?
    Anyway, I am making peace with going in for induction tomorrow, and your video helped with that. So many thanks! My best wishes to all the other moms out there in similar situations. ♥️

    41wks+1 and going to be induced in less than 12 hours, which I did not want, so I found myself here looking for some positive vibes. Thank you so much for sharing this, because although I don’t expect my delivery to be the same, it’s amazing to here your story and it has made me feel more optimistic.

    I almost cried at the beginning when you were talking about labor starting and stopping. I’m 41 weeks today and have had two episodes of prodromal labor in the last week that truly felt like “go time” - I’m lucky to say it’s mentally been the hardest week of my pregnancy. Trying everything I can to induce without pitocin this week, but if it comes to it, I hope I can stay as positive and adaptable as you did. Thank you for sharing your story.

    🤍 Thank you for sharing your positive induction story 🤍 I am 41w+2d and am booked in to be induced in 3 days time. Letting go of the vision I had for my birth and my birth preferences is difficult, it’s like grieving a loss. I am drawing strength from your words that it ended up being a positive experience and the best outcome for you. The affirmation I am manifesting is “everything is happening for me, not to me” xxxx

    This is the most positive birth story I have heard so far! I am 40 + 3 days. Scheduled to be induced in 3 days, was the very last thing I had visioned in my birth plan. Now I am coming to terms that may be what comes true, while still holding out hope that baby decides to come within the next few days before induction. I am starting to let go of those thoughts and give myself grace that he will come when it’s time since it was giving me unnecessary anxiety. I’m also coming to terms now that it may not be all natural. Hearing you being so adaptable to the situation made me realize you did what was best for you and your baby at that time. I am hoping to have the same level of strength as you. As long as my baby comes earth side healthy then I couldn’t ask for anything better ❤

    • @Bemytravelmuse
      @Bemytravelmuse  Год назад +1

      Aw I totally get it! Tomorrow is actually when my due date would have been a year ago and I’m remembering how stressful it was when each day passed. If I could do it all over I’d trust the process more and agreed - as long as mama and baby are healthy that’s the most important thing.

    This was so refreshing and was exactly the scenario I needed to hear. I'm 39+4 and would need an induction by 41 weeks. This whole pregnancy I've been hoping for a spontaneous labor and to avoid an epidural, so I'm worried about induction changing everything because I doubt I would go unmedicated with an induction. I was so glad to hear your positive feelings towards your experience as someone who initially had similar preferences. Thank you for sharing!

    Such a lovely birth story! I'm 30 weeks with my first and I had to stop listening to and watching traumatic birth stories. While informative on things to look out for, it's been totally freaking me out and I tend to think the worst once I'm freaked out. Today I decided to search "positive birth experience" and yours was the first to pop up.
    I'm glad you did what worked best for you in the moment. Hoping my baby boy is like me and sister and comes on his due date (i know it's not likely, but i really want a Halloween baby lol). But if he doesn't I'm open to being induced if I start to push it to 41 weeks.

    • @Bemytravelmuse
      @Bemytravelmuse  Год назад

      I was hoping for a 4th of July baby! Yes absolutely don't listen to or watch any traumatic birth stories. I refused to listen to or watch any and I wouldn't even let people tell me any of their own personal horror stories. We all know anything can happen, but being in fear won't help since it's all about relaxing, so fill your head with the positive stuff!

    I’m due in 5 weeks but may need an induction due to a complicated issue with insurance and residency where we live… I also have been practicing hypnobirthing and in my head I’m having a totally natural birth but I’m now starting to mentally prepare for this induction that I’m terrified of… thank you for sharing this positive story ♥️
    I’m wondering - did the epidural make it so you couldn’t move much beyond laying on the bed? Also, did you rip? People say the rip is more likely with the epidural.
    It’s exciting to hear that you could actually feel when it was time to push. Were you able to breathe the baby out, how we speak about in hypnobirthing? Or did you more so purple push?

    Thank you for sharing your story it was so inspiring and helped reduce the fear of induction! Just wanted to ask, you mentioned at breakfast time, the first dose of pitocin kickstarted your labour so fast straight away so then the midwife turned it off. Does that mean it was turned off completely and your body just took over in contracting from then? I don’t think I heard the pitocin ever getting turned on again which was interesting. Thanks again and congratulations on the birth of your gorgeous baba ❤

    Your body’s reaction is exactly why I don’t want to be induced. I’ve had an epidural before I don’t want to have to need it again. I’ve heard that pitocin can really make labor so much more painful. I’m 40+4 now and they want to induce me at 41. The fact that your contractions got so intense with just a 1 solidifies my desire to not be induced.

    • @Bemytravelmuse
      @Bemytravelmuse  7 месяцев назад

      It’s unfortunate you felt the need to shame me and my experience.

    • @Okiegamer77
      @Okiegamer77 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@Bemytravelmuse it wasn’t my intention to shame you. You just described the reaction/side effect to pitocin that makes me not want to accept it. I’m AFRAID of extra pain that should not be necessary if they would just let me go into labor on my own. Instead they want to threaten me C-section if I don’t go into labor on my own by 42w.
      I really am sorry that it came off that way. I was not trying to attack you or your experience. I’ve been pretty upset the past couple weeks that they basically won’t let me go past 41 weeks and if I do refuse induction past that they won’t even consider letting me be induced. I HAVE to go into spontaneous labor or get a section. I’ve read and listened to so many stories where women said the pain was SO much worse with pit, including yours.

      @@Bemytravelmusehow is she shaming you? It’s the truth. Inductions are dangerous and most of the time completely unnecessary. This is coming from someone who was induced 2 times. It’s not all that it’s cracked up to be.

      @@Bemytravelmuse aww man from an outsider reading I understood that she wasn’t trying to shame you. I refused induction with pitocin on my first pregnancy for the same reason, the fear of the pain being unmanageable. My understanding is the pain you felt immediately is what I would have felt through transition with contractions each minute. Without a buildup over time it’s very hard for anyone to deal with. I think she was just glad to get validation on how she was feeling it could be. When we talk to nurses about it, well in my case, they try to make it seem like pitocin feels no stronger than normal contractions. But I have seen multiple stories about how they immediately ramp up without giving your other hormones and mind time to prepare. That’s not against you, it just verifies that if we can avoid it we would prefer to avoid it. You did the right thing to get induced, but some doctors try to force induction when babies aren’t even close to overdue. They tried to induce me at 39 weeks, and the baby wasn’t distressed. I didn’t like how the doctor tried to gaslight me into it either and made me feel like I was making too big a deal out of not wanting pitocin. But that’s definitely nothing against you, interventions are there if necessary. Sounds like OP didn’t want interventions unless absolutely necessary.

    Hi mama! So did you only get one dose of pitocin then they took you off it?

      Pitocin is a drip through an IV so they had it on for just a few minutes then turned it off since my contractions were so quick to start and gain in intensity.
