I was his care taker and it was the hardest thing I've ever done.
The blue bag comment was extremely touching.

It is so evident that Taylor honors her in every way that she deserves to be. I am in awe of the way he speaks of her. They say “everything happens for a reason”, and after listening to everything he shared, it is so abundantly clear that Taylor’s ultimate purpose in life is to instill gratitude in others and always remind people that they have things to be thankful for. This podcast is truly transformative for me.

Your mama would be so proud, and so in love with you it’s unimaginable girly, but you get the opportunity to have a child too, and when you are ready, if it’s in your will, you will feel the connection to your mommy so deeply, the reason I say that is because I’m adopted I had no feelings of mom, my mom, ya know. But when I had my son, I understood so much and it all made sense I knew my little guy saved my life and filled my heart and maybe even if was a short time but I know you brought eternal joy in those short three years with your momma, you gave her enough joy to last a lifetime, you loved her endlessly and fiercely at 1,2,3 years old, she got to spend the most precious moments with you, and I pray you find peace again girl, you are worthy, you are loved by many and I’ll let you know a secret from a mother to a daughter, my love will never die, my love will forever scream it out, I love may not be present but it never ends. And I want you to know your mom isn’t here, but her love hasn’t stopped for you, her love will run through your spirit, make her proud hun💛

The way Taylor has continued to honor Haley is truly beautiful. As a mom to my sweet 22 month old and a 7 week old and both of them being boys my heart goes out to them… I can’t even imagine that kind of pain of Weston watching his mom pass away.. both of them are so strong! I’m so grateful that I watched their story unfold because it really helped me realize I can’t take anything for granted. I am doing all I can to stay present and spend as much quality time as a family. My heart goes out to both Taylor and Weston

As me, Abby is a very emotional person. She feels others pain as her own and that’s why she was so affected. Also, that’s why at the end of this episode her words touched Taylor so much 😊; they were thoughtful.

The kind of love in this family, between them and for their son is so selfless and beautiful. Sobbing. Thank you for sharing, Taylor. What a blessing to see and hear what love is through her

I still remember the post that Taylor sent out when Hailey passed and it broke my heart for y’all. Taylor, you have been an amazing husband and father and both Hailey and Weston are so lucky to have you.

Cancer is horrific. It takes so much from everyone involved. I watched my dad die in our living room. I watched him suffer for so long, I can’t even describe the pain of watching your own father suffer and cry in agony. 18 years later, I still cry for him at least once I week. I miss him so damn much it physically hurts my heart. My heart goes out to Taylor and especially Weston. He’s in good hands though.

It’s devastating. I still cry for my Dad too. Our medical system tortures some of the most beautiful people this world has with the various “treatments” of cancer. I can still hear his cries in my mind sometimes, it hurt my so deeply, there are no words to describe.

@@Miss.SarahRobyn same! I can still hear the whimpers, it’s seriously so heartbreaking to remember. To see a once big, burly motorcycle loving man whittle away into nothing makes me sick. It’s just not fair. It’s nice to hear someone else talk about what their dad went through too, as terrible as the circumstance is.

Humbles one, doesn't it Matt and Abby. Glad God brought you Taylor to tell the story of his true love, his soulmate Hayley losing her battle with cancer and carrying on with their son Weston after losing Hayley. I followed their journey on their youtube channel through tears for their journey knowing the path myself as 26 years this December my own husband passed away from stage 4 aggressive Non-Hotchkins Lymphoma at 43 yrs young when our son was 4 years old, a year and 5 days after diagnosis.😞😢💔

Abby, I’m with you, I cried throughout this entire episode. There are no words to express his appreciation of sharing his story. Love you all, and please take his advice and positive outlook on life: we only get one life. Lastly, thank you for educating younger children, or even someone like myself who is 40. Taylor, you tell her story so honesty, actually it’s y’all’s story! I’m not kidding, that was the most beautifully spoken along with so many lessons that will guide others. I don’t have words for how much grace and love for all those around you, your wife is DEF watching over you guiding you to your next chapter. Love from southern Nevada. Xoxo

Favorite episode! I’m a cancer survivor and to hear a caretakers point of view is so touching, when you are going through something like this you never want to feel like a burden, but when you love someone like this it is not a burden it’s what comes with love, caring for someone else no matter what. Taylor you honored Hayley with the highest level of respect, your genuineness, honesty and love you showed sharing y’all’s story is so beautiful, she would be so so proud! Matt and Abby thank you for allowing Taylor to share his story and respect his boundaries and let him, control the conversation, but also thank you all for your openness with your emotions.

Dear Abby, Matt, Taylor, Weston and Hayley. I have no words except to say that this podcast was absolutely amazing, sad, insightful, inspiring and everything else. Taylor, you so willingly opened up about the last eight years of ups and downs with your beautiful Hayley, being a carer, a husband and a father. You didn't hold back on anything which I totally admire you for. This is the best therapy and we should always allow and encourage our loved ones and friends to do this regardless of how hard it is. I've been following Abby and Matt for a year or so now and I've always loved following their journey. Their Unplanned Podcast is the best. Well done and keep it going. All the best for the future Taylor and Weston and keep inspiring others. Hayley is looking down on you

Taylor is THE definition of a true, loving husband. THIS is what our vows are for…clearly he meant every last word. Theirs is a love story for the ages. I prayed so hard that their story would have a different ending, but I truly commend him for honoring and LOVING his beautiful wife the way he does. Truly amazing to see such love in its purest form.

I followed this family but hearing this full story was so incredibly impactful. I had to watch this in parts bc it wrecked me. I run a hospice and deal with death daily but it is with seniors who have lived long, full lives. This testimony from him is needed for all of us to live everyday and to live with purpose. May we all be able to serve and love like he’s shown for everyone we encounter.

What beautiful human beings they both are and also surround themselves with. I found a new respect for life bc of them. I sobbed like I lost a close friend when he informed us followers. I hope he finds love again when he’s ready. It will be different, but that doesn’t meant better or worse than his 1st love. He deserves to find happiness again. They have the perfect guardian angel to guide them ❤ God Bless everyone who had the pleasure of being loved by and loving Haley

I have lost people to cancer but what got to me the most was when he was talking about caring for someone he loved I took care of my grandmother for 2 years and I understand the hospice side of things it not easy to watch someone you love lose a battle to anything and the fact that he carried his wife's body to the room speaks volumes cause not just anyone can do that and to the sister who stepped up you did something no one else could I pray that the family and him can continue healing and have peace in life as it will continue to be hard some days but in the end you all will get through this

The strength you have to have in all of this, and your wife and son need you to have is unimaginable. His commitment to Hailey no matter the outcome, taking on her dream of motherhood knowing the outcome will likely not be long term and it would be just him and their child, the constant care and devotion to Hailey's needs and fatherhood at the same time, and then seeing the value in all of it is the most selfless kind of love. What a blessing Taylor was to his wife and I know he feels the blessing she was to him. What a blessing he is to his son as well and the example he is continuing to be to him.
