    5:47 When Matt asked Kail if she felt like the public school system failed her in sex education- Kail said “I feel like parenting was failed”. I respect this so much! It is 100% up to the parents to educate their children.

      But when we leave it up to parents it is very common for this outcome? so why would we not try to fill a need in society instead of continuing this to persist from neglectful parents??

    • @monicageller226
      @monicageller226 4 месяца назад +13

      You’re absolutely correct parents are responsible for their child’s upbringing not the government. Unfortunately many are not equipped to raise them which is why our society is in decline because the government will push their agenda on to the kids as they have and continue to do.

      @@DaniANDNoe because those same neglectful parents will be the ones trying to sue the school, teacher and whoever they can sue because the teacher taught it in a way they don’t approve of. It’s taught in schools, but who’s to say it’s understood. So many kids are embarrassed in that class. They won’t ask questions, etc. So what they learn is limited. Parents need to step up.

I got pregnant at 18 in 2006 and was in a pretty helpless place but like Kail, I used my past as drive and was able to do pretty well for myself and my child, who is now 17! @@Beepbopboop19 you definitely have to be ready for it, and really dedicate a huge chunk of your life towards your children
      But if 3 kids need attention, you turn to the one who can handle this best and say, 'I'd love to hear what happened today, but it's a bit hectic right now. why don't you go do something to relax or chill, and we'll talk soon, is that ok?" even if the kid doesn't love hearing this right then, it teaches him or her a super valuable lesson in 1-patience, and and 2-learning to self regulate emotions when you don't have someone to talk to. These are incredible teaching moments that many children in small families don't get, because their parents are at their beck and call all day.

    I have always loved and applauded Kail. You’re right, they didn’t show enough of your backstory, however as a child of addicts myself in which I also became a teen mother…I saw the hurt and the pain. I recognized the strength and adversity that you had as a young woman. I will always look up to you for that because you showed me that my life wasn’t over and that I could do it too even if I was alone. My babygirl is 11 now and I just bought a house and graduated with my bachelors too ❤ Keep grinding Kail!

    Hi guys, with the numb stomach, I had 5 children & my First Child was a natural birth with a Episiotomy. Then my second child was a c-section because of a Placenta praevia & then my third child I was hit in the stomach by a toddler & that broke my back waters, laboured over 12 hrs & because of the time the waters broke & nothing happened & they worry about infection because of the waters breaking I had to have another c-section the 4th child was c-section because of the previous 2. My fifth child was exactly the same as my second Placenta Praevia & they are both boys & I was told it’s not normal to have 2 placenta Praevia. Now my stomach was numb from belly button to scar, I was told it would take 3-5 years to get feeling back. I got the feeling back about 25-27 years. Thanks for sharing as I really enjoyed your podcast ❤❤❤❤❤🇦🇺

    I have been watching Kail since the beginning and I have always found her life story so interesting and amazing and I am so proud of how far she has come in this life she has built for herself and her children. I myself have three children’s fathers and had my first child when I was still in my teens, but when we show our children a different way of life and how to be responsible and talk to them how we wish we were talked to I think it really is amazing.

I’m so proud of her she’s such an amazing Mom & person. I have 3 babies Dads. I feel I was looking for love from men who couldn’t provide that and just made babies and weren’t the right person for me. I would change a lot but never change having my daughters and I had my son at 27. I have 5 beautiful Grandkids now also ❤❤❤❤

    My daughter’s preschool teacher approached me once congratulating me on such a great parenting idea, which was teaching her about consent. (For the record I’m not congratulating myself lol). It just occurred to me one day when she was a toddler we were having a tickle fight, she yelled (while laughing) “Stop!” & I took my hands off instantly. She was surprised & actually wanted to continue but she saw in that moment that stop means stop. Then another day I wasn’t in the mood to have her try to lick my face (when you have a kid, you know that’s a thing)😂 & I said “you do not have my consent, that means no permission, it means you absolutely cannot continue, no matter what.” She got it instantly & assumed all other kids knew what that meant when she told a kiddo at pre-school that they didn’t have her consent to drag her while running. So cute. I was so proud of her to have the right words to express her feelings rather than just yelling at the kid or hitting to get away or whatever.
    Consent & body part names are all-age appropriate. Hint: my mom told me how babies were made one day when I asked as a 3 year old “so you know how a girl is? & you know how a boy is? (I had a baby brother at the time) well when you love someone very much, you get married & then it’s like a puzzle.” 😅 I understood & she was well-aware of nuance surrounding sex & gender BUT I was 3. So there’s an idea.

Giving her upbringing and all the trauma she is fucken killing it and is doing so damn well with her children. People can talk and point fingers all they want like if we’ve never made mistakes before and one thing about her is that she owns on to her bad decisions and that’s the only way we learn and grow ❤ you go girl your so inspiring and love the outcome of you because things could have been worse. I was 16 when we got pregnant with our eldest son. I was on the pill. I was given an antibiotic for strep throat. This was 1989 when the first studies showing antibiotic may reduce effectiveness of birth control were being done so no one knew yet. Three to four weeks after I was given the antibiotic, my doctor saw study when it was published and called to say use a back up method, but I was already pregnant. I graduated high school weeks after he was born, worked full time while I earned my college degree, then went to law school. We married young and had 5 more children, when older and established, ending with twins We also fostered children in our 30s, Not the life start I would recommend, but if in that situation and willing to work one's butt off and make responsible decisions, a teen mom can build an extremely successful life. I would not recommend having multiple baby daddies because we know that has extensive long-term detrimental effects on children when that is their family dynamic. A huge part of parenting is making responsible decisions.

    As I’m watching this there is so much to unload. I watched her grow up on tv. I was 17 watching her episode of 16 and pregnant with my mom and watched every single week and every single mtv show related to the series and up to this day at 36 years old I still follow the girls and the franchise. As a mom of 2 myself, I can not imagine how it was for her with a teen pregnancy and essentially doing it all by herself. She has gotten so much hate over the years, forcing her to quit mtv and honestly, while there are so many negative things she was in and going through, that girl had to do what she had to to get out on top and create a stable life for herself. She has succeeded in this in ways that not many are able to do. Yes having 4 baby daddy’s is wild and I can’t even imagine sharing custody of my kids and having all that chaos, but her situation was one that wasn’t given many choices. Kail is a badazz mom and woman and haters gonna hate but until you have seen her entire life unfold in the public eye, you can’t say shizz! She’s building a life for herself and her kids that’s better than what she had and lacked and she deserves to be seen in a more positive light
