    When installing that seatbelt bracket, you can first draw the shape of the bracket, then first drill the holes for rivets (can be also top right, bottom left - more like diagonal), bracket center line can be marked with some colorful pen. Then via predrilled rivet holes it is visible in what position bracket currently are, and is easy to control when rotating the bracket. You can hold it with something suitable via these rivet holes while tighten the middle bolt. Then drill these holes deeper - through the bracket, and install rivets..

    Hi Leigh , great job and well documented and explained as usual. Can you let me know if its possible to fit the double rear seat only by using 4 of the smaller reinforcement brackets
    Cheers from belfast

      I would suggest uding the brackets as VW intended. Leigh

    Gteat vid. Would it be possible to mount the seats a cross member further back and using seats with intergrated seat belts? Planning on a double swivel up front with a table/seating area.

    Hi guys, we've got twins on the way and have sourced an early T5 Kombi, which unfortunately does not have ISOFIX points in the 2+1 rear seats. Do you have any advice on where to source replacement seats with ISOFIX? Many Thanks!

    Hi, what brackets would be required to just fit the double rear seat and not the single?

  • @joshbanks6367
    @joshbanks6367 Месяц назад

    Those seats aren’t from a Caravelle, they’re from a Shuttle. The Caravelle uses sliding rails. But still, top video man.

    • @pascalr.gunther5318
      @pascalr.gunther5318 Месяц назад

      Actually sliding rails are used by the multivan. Shuttle and caravelle are the same, in the beginning of the t5 the caravelle was named shuttle.

      I believe the newer t6 2nd row seats have isofix fittings. Make sure you're sitting down when browsing to find some though.

    Do you have to mention this as a modification to your insurer?

    • @ian_morg
      @ian_morg 8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, any modification needs to be told to your insurer, also you’re now changing the number of seats so definitely. Aplan as they were when I had my van were brilliant and it was just an email to them to add each mod on from bare panel van to full on camper.

    Is there a way to make the two passenger Seat sliding forward and backward?
    On the web there are sliding and swivel bases for the front double seat, but I’m not sure is suitable for the double seat shown in this video. Any suggestion?
