Some people dont like the movie since its just him but im like bruh......EVERY song is so good and I catch myself listening to the soundtrack more than any other Disney movie
If me and Clayton were friends, you know we would HANG out all day! 😎 Fun Fact: The signature "Tarzan yell" is provided by Brian Blessed, the voice of this movie's villain Clayton. because after noticing that Tony Goldwyn could not make a convincing scream, Blessed went to one of the producers to tell him that he could do it, the producer refused at first but after he yelled in front of him, he accepted without hesitation.
He only talks well when he talks with the gorillas, while also heating them speaking as well. I think supposed to be is watching the gorillas & Tarzan communicating in their language.
In books Jane was American and Tarzan was first taught to speak french by Paul D’arnot. Later he had the capacity to pick up and learn any language very quickly. One does not expect a cartoon to go into that much detail . I suppose us English was as near to ape language they could get !
I mean, it's disney. Not exactly the most accurate films made (Pocahontas just to name one). Lmao, what can you do? It's definitely not something I noticed until I was older! 😂
4:30 The tartan belly flop is iconic but yes. A normal human being could never survive a fall that bad let alone a belly flop from that height. If Tarzan was 'human' we're talking; Rip cage broken, organs exploding, eyes out of sockets, multiple broken bones, vomiting blood... *He'll be dead*
2:34 That's a Leopard. Cheetahs are far too weak to try and take on a Gorilla and Jaguars live in North America and South America, not Africa. And yes, Leopards have been recorded hunting Gorillas in the wild. Sometimes even straight-up beating them in one-on-one fights. Which is insanely impressive considering they usually only weigh half the size. LOL
Cheetahs are even too weak to take on human. Especially two adults, one being a healthy man. Although I can't blame her for thinking it's a jaguar, the spots look closer to a jaguar's than a leopard's
Tarzan literally was the reason I always wanted to learn how to climb trees and what not as a child 😂😂 oh the memories these movie brings. Tarzan was and STILL fine
“I feel like Tarzan’s feet should all types of splinters”. The only reason Tarzan’s feet aren’t covered in splinters is because the trees have a lot of moss on them
FYI: only ONE animator has the relationship between the sisters and Tarzan as his head canon in addition to various fan theories. It is not official and the time periods do not line up. He could be their great-grandson/nephew but not brother based on the timelines for the two movies.
I actually had an idea for a fanfic where Kerchak's treatment of Tarzan, and refusal to accept him has terrible consequences. There is an old African proverb which says-"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to receive its warmth". What if after being treated as an outcast by Kerchak, and being told that he will "never be one of us" for so long caused Tarzan to turn evil? What if Tarzan finally snapped, and decided that if Kerchak would never see him as anything other than a threat, then why not give him what he wants? The irony of it all would be that Kerchak treated Tarzan badly for so long because he thought he'd become a threat, but in reality, it was that very treatment that actually CAUSED Tarzan to become a threat, turning it into a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. In this very moment, Kerchak finally realizes that if he HAD just accepted Tarzan from the beginning, he would never have turned bad. Of course, Tarzan would eventually turn back to the good side with the help of both Jane, and Kala before it's too late to stop Clayton.
I read the books in high school, and it’s really interesting to see what elements they kept in this movie (especially since the book is very clearly not for kids lol)
I’m so glad someone else loves the “oh I see.. oh I SeE” part as much as I do… then again I do have matching “You’ll be in my heart” tattoos with my sister in each other’s handwriting 😅😅
I was gonna say that in the book, Kerchak wasn’t killed by John Clayton... but then I remembered that he was, since that was Tarzan’s English name, and Tarzan killed Kerchak because it was Kerchak who killed Tarzan’s father. Not sure why they felt the need to invent a new John Clayton.
I don’t say it enough, girl, but I adore watching your reactions!! 😆💖 You are not afraid to do your own thing!! Also love the Bible verses at the beginning of each video! X3
I always had the biggest crush on tarzan, like for me him, Eric, Belle’s prince and Naveen are the best disney “princes” till this day they are my favs, AND JOHN SMITH FOR SOME REASON
As an adult, I can understand Kerchuck a little more. He is just protecting his own. I am sure in his experience, he experienced humans before Tarzan (I am assuming) and it makes sense how he gets territorial. At least, he did not kill Jane or her father. Clayton was the problem. It makes sense why he can never trust Tarzan. Honestly, I would just let Kerchuck go after Clayton, but I get Tarzan was trying to do the right thing. Also Disney. I wish Kerchuck did not have to die right when he forgave Tarzan and let him join the family again. It took me forever to notice Clayton being hanged by the vines. Someone had to point that out to me.
in the book Tarzans parents survived for at least a few years in the jungle (building a very sturdy reinfoced house in a clearing) and the father killed many members of the gorilla tribe before slipping up with the door lock, leading to kertchak killing him. Tarzans mother died of semi natural causes, suffering what we would call post-partum depression
Strange enough, kerchak is more relatable as an adult, especially if your a parent. But his death always leaves me weeping, especially the way tarzan hugs him😭
There is a theory that Jane is actually the daughter of the beast and Belle. The tea set I guess turned back to normal to keep watch on her (as references in the movie) and that's kinda why she's in wildlife expectations
Yeah and the predator animals always go for the young ones or the old ones or the hurt ones because you know they’re not physically strong enough to like fight or run away.
I loved this movie when I was a kid and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Terk was a boy. Also your right about this being a semi dark movie because those things really went over my head as a kid. Fun Fact: The Leopard (Sabor) is a female 😱🤯
@@user-pp2ls7nl3c It won't be ruined if you have the right people on it besides no one ever talks about this movie all that much they don't even bring Tarzan back in other Disney media and games it deserves some attention cause it's overshadowed by other famous Disney films it would be nice to shed some light back on this great film.
Some good "dark" animated movies I always loved, growing up: 1. "Pinocchio," the Disney Studios 2nd film. I've always loved this movie. Owned the soundtrack on vinyl as a kid. It took several views for me to realize just how dark this movie is. Literally! Most of the film takes place at night. The older I get the more I notice the serious, moralistic themes in the movie. As dark as it is, however, this version of the story is pretty light compared to the book, which is much darker. Although the scene at the end with Monstro the Whale is pretty terrifying. I still marvel at the amount of hand-drawn animation it took to make this film. There was no computer animation in the 1940s. 2. "The Black Cauldron" A low-point in the Disney Studio's history. Not an awful film, but unlike "Pinocchio" (which is excellent), this one had a long and turbulent history at Disney for years before it was finally made, and it underwent several re-writes, and whole scenes were scrapped and re-drawn and scrapped again. It was a mess, and it shows. But it's worth seeing once, especially if you like creepy animation involving castles, goblins and an army of demonic skeletons. 2. "The Secret of NIMH" This was Don Bluth's first movie (he would later go on to make "The Land Before Time," "An American Tale," "All Dogs Go To Heaven" and "The Iron Giant." Based on a kids book "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH." This story has some sad moments and some serious drama. In one scene alone we witness the deaths of three important supporting characters. The acronym NIMH stands for "National Institute of Mental Health." So that should give you some idea of the more serious elements of the story-line. The movie does have a very happy ending however, and the Bluth Studio's animation never looked better. 4. "Watership Down" An animated Warner Brothers film made in 1978 (not to be confused with the 2018 version), based on a very good book by Richard Adams. This one is rated PG as it has some fairly bloody violence for an animated film. But it's a lovely story about a group of rabbits looking for a new home. I read somewhere once that this story is an allegory about the plight of the Jewish people. The way the movements of the rabbits are depicted is very realistic and non-cartoonish. I've had pet rabbits and I know how they move, and I can tell the animators did their homework for this film. I showed "Watership Down" to a friend back in the 90s, and to this day he still loves this film. The characters all have European accents, mostly British, and the rabbits have their own language themselves, so the dialogue in the movie can be a little hard to understand (unless you've watched it a dozen times like I have). The book even came with a glossary of words the rabbits use for everything from automobiles to God. Art Garfunkel sings a song called "Bright Eyes" in this film that always brings a tear to my eyes. I love this movie! But for kids it is a little bit scary and has some tragic moments. 5. "The Plague Dogs," Another Richard Adams book made into a powerful animated movie by Warner Brothers. Be aware this one is PG-13. Out of the 5 movies I've listed, THIS is one I would NOT recommend to kids at all. But I list it because of this one's relation to the previous movie mentioned, and the fact that it's a very well made movie. Even though it is quite bleak and sad. We watched it in a high school Sociology class back in the mid 90s (I'm 44 now) and there was one moment in the film that made the whole class gasp in shock. I even seen a buddy of mine cry at the end. The film is, in large part, a criticism of cruel animal experimentation, but it also addresses the mass hysteria that happens among a population when they fear an outbreak of deadly disease. In the wake of the COVID panic, this film will definitely hit a nerve! Yeah.... watch if you dare. This one stays with you a while.... (fyi - surprisingly, the book has a happier ending. Like waaaaaaaaaay happy! The movie: eh, not so much!
Oooohhhh! Thank you for mentioning "The Secret of NIMH," I LOVED that movie as a little kid! I still watch it! I still have it on DVD, but it's also free on RUclips right now, if you want to relive the nostalgia in just a few seconds from now (lol). I stumbled upon the book a couple years after watching the movie, because my child self didn't know movies could be based on books (or vice-versa in E.T. the Extraterrestrial's case. Yes, I read the book, they added a LOT of internal thoughts from ET's perspective since he can't talk for much of the movie. They also took some liberties with scenes and... for some reason, made ET have a crush on Elliot's mom??? IDK, the movie was better and ET was cuter/more lovable in the movie, while in the book he was an elderly, knowledgeable botanist trapped on a planet of simpletons.) Anyways, I digress. I loved the book and movie equally; the book had more characters and story arcs and contextual information in it and it was a smidge darker, but both were enchanting! The book was kind of like Alice in Wonderland while the movie put Mrs. Brisby at the front and empowered her more, since there wasn't a magical amulet or any magic at all, in the original book. (Her surname was Frisby in the book, which they changed for the movie so the wouldn't get copyrighted for the name of the Frisbee toy.) I also love that John Bluth was denied at first to make the movie because Disney said they already had both a mouse character, which was Mickey, and a mouse movie, "The Rescuers." But he did it anyway without Disney's help and had his own film company make it with a MUCH lower budget than a Disney film and it was STILL very well-received (93% on Rotten Tomatoes). I also saw the sequel, which was a musical and was made without Don Bluth's input on anything... I *sorta* liked it as a kid, but upon further inspection, it pales in comparison to the original stories. Also it's a musical. NO. Just, no.
When I was little, my family would make faun of me for being afraid of Tarzan because it was so dark! LIKE, HELLO?!?! Why am I called a crybaby for realizing that the tiger mauled the baby gorilla to death AND THEN mauling the parents to death--WHOSE BODIES I DID SEE BUT APPARENTLY NO ONE ELSE DID--BUT FOR SOME REASON, I'M A CRYBABY FOR BEING SCARED OF A SUBTLY DARK MOVIE???? WOULDN'T ANY 5-YEAR-OLD BE??!?!?! Apparently not, so I digress! Also, love the vid Lakia!
I loved Tarzan as a kid (but ive always been a crazy cat lady, so maybe i just forgave the jaguar?) But i felt fear from snowwhite! My dad told me that i refused green apples at a young age( before i could explain), when we went to Disneyland and rode snowwhite i pointed to the green poison Queen was dipping the apples in. Dad laughed (hes never force apples on me again though. I knew what was going on.)
This movie is a masterpiece, loved it since the first time all those years ago... My favorite part however is Tarzan in the beginning, loved the diaper scenes, baby Tarzan is easily the cutest Disney baby ever, even in a full diaper
No because I grew up with this movie and this gave me flashbacks to my mom singing “you’ll be in my heart” to me as a kid😭😭 Also not me singing along with Lakia knowing very well I sound like a dying squirrel
Fun fact: In the novels Clayton is actually Tarzan's *cousin.* Clayton's full name is William Cecil Clayton and Tarzan's birth name is John Clayton II.
This is a good movie in my opinion. Despite the sad and dark moments in the movie it still turned out good plus who doesn’t love baby tantor lol 😊 I also for the longest time thought Terk was a boy until I saw some episodes from the show they made from this movie then I realized lol.
In all my years watching this movie I never noticed his hanging body in the lightning. Always kinda wanted them to show something, but now I see it, it's kinda dark.
i was not ready for that intro i dont remember that scene happpening then again when i first watched tarzan i was like 4 or 5 and diddint know what hanging was when the hell did tarzan have such a deep voice

Belle and Jane have to be related. They even brought the teacups from the castle!!!

Jane might have written Beauty and the beast Bc of all the similar stuff:)!
Time-wise, that is closer than the sisters.
Maybe Belle is her ancestor but Disney is known for making female characters look the same

But he did it anyway without Disney's help and had his own film company make it with a MUCH lower budget than a Disney film and it was STILL very well-received (93% on Rotten Tomatoes). I also saw the sequel, which was a musical and was made without Don Bluth's input on anything... I *sorta* liked it as a kid, but upon further inspection, it pales in comparison to the original stories. Also it's a musical. NO. Just, no.
*i recommend "mowgli: legend of the jungle", "george of the jungle", "planet of the apes" trilogy and both "rio" films*
Tarzan was a good movie, I'll admit it, it was an awesome animation film...🙂😊
You should definitely watch Tarzan and Jane. It's a good sequel that not many have actually watched
You need to have a whole month where you watch Disney/Pixar movies❤️
Love you and your channel✨
Btw it was a Wildebeests stampede in lion king
14:27
This is why I don’t let my little sister watch Tarzan
Tarzan is STILL DADDY
Tarzan is my number 1 favorite Disney film of all time.
Tarzan was one of my favourites but yea it’s pretty dark 💖
Phil Collins went all out on this soundtracks, one of the best in my opinion.
OMG, I'd love to see your reaction to Lion King 1, 2, and 1.5!!!
I have just finished a binge of all of your videos...and I still want more lol
No because I grew up with this movie and this gave me flashbacks to my mom singing “you’ll be in my heart” to me as a kid😭😭
Also not me singing along with Lakia knowing very well I sound like a dying squirrel
Fun fact: In the novels Clayton is actually Tarzan's *cousin.* Clayton's full name is William Cecil Clayton and Tarzan's birth name is John Clayton II.
I've been living for your reactions lately :) and that hair color looks great on you
This is a good movie in my opinion. Despite the sad and dark moments in the movie it still turned out good plus who doesn’t love baby tantor lol 😊 I also for the longest time thought Terk was a boy until I saw some episodes from the show they made from this movie then I realized lol.
Still one of my favorite Disney movies. I remember when Clayton technically got hanged.
Of all the villain deaths I’ve seen in Disney, I never imagined they would animate a hanging death with a lightning-shown shadow.
Lakia should do a soundtrack of all the Disney movies.
Tarzan is a great movie, but for the live action one I haven’t watched it yet lol
It wasn’t even made by Disney. Just another adaptation of the original Tarzan book series
I watched the movie a long time ago
@@grace5033 Yeah maybe that’s probably why it’s different
@@LakiaJaiTV Oh that’s nice, was it good?
The live action version from Warner brothers is really good
I'm over here watching all your videos because I'm bored and then I saw you upload and my day got even better. ❤😭
I gotta say you nailed that ending
Tarzan reminds me so much of jungle book
In all my years watching this movie I never noticed his hanging body in the lightning. Always kinda wanted them to show something, but now I see it, it's kinda dark.
I’m here I love your channel and you always make me smile 😊
Ahhhhhhh I canttttttttt
"U came back"
"I came HOME"
I CANTTTTTTTTTTT
You have to get props for Tarzan for warning Clayton.
The trees in Tarzan were actually drawn to have moss on it so he could slide on it easily
Wow I didn't remember it being this dark either 💀
14:41 this actually qualified as a G-rated movie back in the day
Watch the real version of Tarzan. It's super good. The one with Margo Robbie.
i was not ready for that intro i dont remember that scene happpening then again when i first watched tarzan i was like 4 or 5 and diddint know what hanging was
when the hell did tarzan have such a deep voice
My favorite Disney movie 😌!
I grew up watching the movie. Watched it a lot as a kid
I don't blame about Tarzan fell in love with Jane. Is the first girl he sees.😅
MY CHILDHOOD!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
0:04 This has to be Disney’s Most Gruesome and Darkest Disney Villain Death. 1:17 This is the Superior Phil’s Collins Disney movie. This is my older brother’s favorite Disney movie. Favorite 2:06 I mean There’s Black Cauldron and Hunchback. 2:51 Same. 4:18 I hear Max Goof. Same voice actor. 5:18 Wildebeests.
That has got to be the oldest jaguar in existence they only live up like 15 year years?! Is it the same one or a different one? 🤔
I think it's meant to be the same one, name of Sabor.
@@DaemonKeido If that was the same leopard it shows how little Disney knows about a leopard's life span. 😅
He could just have lived an abnormally long life. The world record is 24 years.
“Great Value Gaston” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This PS1 video game was hard as ✨HELL✨
I think you should watch the nutcracker and the four realms
The funniest part when Tarzan was doing the three little piggies lol
"Great Value Gaston" oh my gosh 😂😂
NOT THE ARIANA GRANDE NOTE
That's true.. where did the older Tarzan get his brown diaper from
i dont know because kurchack i dont know how to spell his name but its the dad of tarzan basically kurchack accepted tarzan just out of no where like they didnt show him accepting humans more
You might find the classic Tarzan movies with actors like Buster Crabbe and Johnny Weissmuller very different and interesting
Love your channel maybe u could react to surfs up, cloudy with a chance of meatballs, and more marvel/Disney films in the future
I kinda want her to react to lion king 2💆
the frozen and tarzan theory doesn't make any sense because of time periods
And the frozen sequel debunks it
0:54 The director of both movies said he made that up as a joke and didn’t think anyone would take it seriously.
Hiya im a new yorker who lives in Dallas Texas. Lol anyway since u loved prince of Egypt.....u should try Joseph King of Dreams....it's the story of Joseph from the Bible .....and it's also by dreamworks 😎😁🤗
since you kept singing that lion king 2 song in this video, you ever thought of doing a commentary on it too ?👀
