That scream from 0:23 made us see the expectation vs reality of the US Doughboys. They thought their excursion into Western Front is an adventure, that turned out into horror.
@@derekonxbox When I made this edit, I had a draft that had the actual US conquer hell music. It felt way too heroic and happy when overlayed with the screams and cries of the soldiers. While the music can be interpreted as capturing the feeling of the green and fresh US troops arriving in Europe eager to make their mark, it just clashed way too much with the actual battle audio I created
As a foreign student in America, I’ve come to appreciate the “spirit” that Americans bring to anything competitive that they do. Often their teams are made up of vastly different / often conflicting individuals - But then there’s this gel that brings them together somehow, and that’s what makes Americans so hard to go up against.
Yeah and then I picked up a fucking sentry kit and single handedly crushed a entire trench defending force had em running on fire after shooting one of their incendiary grenades guys sounded like people realizing that they woke up in hell
My great grandfather served in WW1 in the American army, and I’m proud of it. Although my nation didnt suffer the horrors as much as the major warring powers, our soldiers still fought, bled, and died in France. I find it to be important to remember their sacrifice in a war that is often overlooked in our history.
@@nickbuckley4371 My father’s side of the family has a long history of war. Revolutionary War, ‘Indian’ Wars, 1812, Civil War (both sides), WW1, WW2. Probably some others. Lot of them died in each; assuming they was conscripts, since a portion of them were just farmers.
It’s even scarier when you can understand what they’re saying.
I feel the spirit of freedom in my veins
full of patriotism in this video
Really made me go from "FREEEDOM RAHHHH 🦅"
to
"OH SHIT I'M ON THE MAGINOT LINE"

One criticism, this is the music from the Beyond the Marne music pack.
Yeah ik, I just felt it fit better than the actual US attackers advance music
@@sturmtruppen-qt1wfI think the music from conquer hell (the actual US operation) fits them better tbh.

Zero appreciation from someone who's never had to sacrifice anything in their lifetime. Our generation is next.

Lol they were never late. The US was crucial to breaking the stalemate on the Western Front.
Argonne is a lot less fun when you learn several ancestors died in it
Your ancestors were great men, carry their blood with pride.
