I’m Finally Back! Our First Project With The $1000 CNC Plasma

  • Today we are finally back. It’s been an interesting month, felt under the weather for a couple weeks. Me being a whiny baby about that put everything behind for a few weeks. Also, I bought more stuff, like I needed to do that.
    Recently we found what I think was a great deal on a Langmuir Crossfire Pro CNC Plasma Table, it was listed on Facebook Marketplace for just $1500. But better than that we we able to score it for $1000. It looked the part of a $1000 plasma table, so we refinished it some a few weeks back. Today we make our first real project with it, and use that to tidy up the little fab area.
    This will be a tremendous help in our custom aluminum dashboard build on the LS3 swapped Land Rover Defender.

      I'm far too excited for that vise. I have that and an old Wilton to go through. Now I just need to build a big enough bench for that sucker. Thanks as always!

      Yep, we put her on a diet over the winter and she is moving around much better these days. Always has a bit more pep in her step when it’s warm out too.

    As an aircraft sheet metal fabricator I like what your doing and I know it's tough to go backwards once you've done some bending .. just keep at it and always have twice as much material than you need, and of course ... MEASURE TWICE, CUT/BEND ONCE !

    Glad to see you back at at and healthy! Everybody needs some downtime to heal up now and then. No rest for the wicked means you just die young. No fun there. You use the knees as a drill press as well? I thought that was something only I did.... Love seeing the new fab stuff.

      Some day maybe I'll justify a mag drill. But it's the knee for now haha. Glad to see we align in a lot of techniques.
      I am happy that I'm in the position in life to feel like I can relax and slack off some when needed. I agree with you very much on that, a few years ago being sick would have stressed the heck out of me.

      It wasn't too terrible, just took it as the correct time to take it easy for a short bit. Glad to be back in the swing of things though, sure did miss feeling 100%.

    Great to see you back, hopefully you are now back firing on all cylinders. The plasma table looks amazing, well worth the investment and the time you have put into it to bring it back to life. Can’t wait to see this bad boy in action making the pieces for the bespoke dash for the LS Defender. The workshop is really coming together, now looking forward to see what you manage to create and bring back to life over the coming months. Great to see Sasha back in front of the camera. Take care of yourself, looking forward to your next video, keep up the great work. 😎👍

    Hey there your not dead lmao, well we just got a ton of snow dumped on us on the 3rd and 4th of April so I feel your pain, we will be doing the move next year around this time. XP hahahahaha oh wait I might have a pc still around with that on it. But really great video and awesome to see you back. Oh and I want to collect a few more rovers once we move.

      @LostCauseRanch  2 месяца назад

      Yeah it looks like you guys got quite a bit more to stick in your neck of the woods. We got a bunch of snow falling but most of it melted as it hit the ground.
      You really are making the smart move to go south haha. You should have some room to collect a few.

    Im the same way, I shop local when I can but honestly I buy more online. I get my U bolts made locally and the set I got yesterday cost $92. yikes, but I know they are right when I walk in and hand them measurements and they whip them out in 5 mins

    • @LostCauseRanch
      @LostCauseRanch  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah it’s a tough balance, because if you don’t buy local they won’t be around. But if I buy too much local I won’t be around haha. The convenience of having the stuff instantly is worth the price some days.
