After trying this for a while and failed, I finally figure out why I failed and also see why the other viewers have difficulties doing this.First, you will need to understand several rules: Rule #1, you can only jump twice in the air until you touch the ground again. Rule #2, if you walk into the air without jumping, a once "quick air walk attack" will be done automatically, then you can perform a set of light attack combo and also a pod kick, in any order before your first jump. The times of stroke in the light attack combo depends on your weapon. Rule #3, the upward attack can only be done immediately after your first jump. It does not work after the second jump. Rule #4, the pod swing (Jump + RB) can only be done after your first or second jump. But since you need to perform upward attack after your first jump, so it must be located after your second jump if you want to make this long jump. Rule #5, after each of your two jumps, you can perform a set of light attack combo and also a pod kick, in any order. The times of stroke in the light attack combo depends on your weapon. Rule #6, if you dash in the air, you can follow by one pod kick or grab the pod and slide. Either way it is a "Finisher". That's why the actions in the video are arranged this way: 1. Press jump and hold (2B will jump vertical once but do not let go the Jump button, hold it) 2. Press Light Attack and hold, while at the same time walk off the edge (2B will perform a sort of "Quick Air Walk Attack") 3. Start press light attack up to the max number allowed for your light weapon, while all the way holding the Jump button (2B will perform the first set of Light Attack combo) 4. Press and Hold Light Attack, still have the Jump button Holding (2B will perform the first Pod Kick) 5. You can now release the Jump button the first time 6. Press and Hold Jump and immediately press Heavy Attack (2B will perform the first Jump and Upward Attack) 7. Start press Light Attack up to the max number allowed for your light weapon, while all the way holding the Jump button (2B will perform the second set of Light Attack combo) 8. Press and Hold Light Attack, still have the Jump button Holding (2B will perform the second Pod Kick) 9. You can now release the jump button the second time 10. Press Jump (2B will perform the second Jump) 11. Press Jump and RB simultaneously (2B will perform a Pod Swing) 12. Start press Light Attack up to the max number allowed for your light weapon, but this time no need to hold the Jump button (2B will perform the third set of Light Attack combo) 13. Press Jump and Light Attack together (2B will perform the third Pod Kick) 14. Dash 15. Either Press Jump and Light Attack together (2B will perform the fourth Pod Kick), or Press and Hold Jump to grab the Pod and slide as a finisher. It depends on if you need to the Pod Kick to cover a little more distance, or your finishing place is high and you need to float to landing. Note that the reason that from step 1 to 4, you must hold the Jump button is, if you don't hold the jump button, when you try to perform the first Pod Kick and hit Jump button, it counts as your first jump. Similarly, from step 6 to 8, if you don't hold the jump button, when you try to perform the second Pod Kick and hit Jump button, it counts as your second jump. But from step 9 onward, you do not need to hold the Jump button (except for the final sliding if you choose it as a finisher)because you have already used both your jumps. So you don't need to worry about "wasting jumps" when you press the Jump button again. As a side note, the reason I failed before is that I try to practice by jumping into the air as my starting step. This will not work as the Upward Attack can only be done after the first jump. At first, I thought I did not get the timing right, but it is actually I have already used my first jump when I try to do the Upward Attack.Once you understand the rules, it is quite straight forward. Hope this help to solve the puzzle.
dude thanks for writing this whole essay on how to make the jump. I would probably never have gotten it to work without it. Thanks a bunch. I made it! i uploaded it if you care
Thanks for this man but idk what u talking about cuz I'm able to do the lift after the second jump infact I'm only able to do it thanks to the second jump so thanks for this but I think u did more harm than good in my case
Thanks, there were some chests I couldn't get to that aren't even this far. I was hoping something would come up but finally gave in an did a search. The A + RB thing didn't even occur to me.
So let me get this straight you hold A the whole time that you're holding X and then tapping X until you get back to holding A on the second line? So basically you start off by holding A and going through your jumps. Then you're standing there still holding A and then you hold X , while still holding A and you go through your hold X attack. Then right after you're done with the last move of the" hold X attack" you tap X for the "tap X attack. ". No at this point you let go of A and press and hold A again ? It's great that you write down the button steps to do this jump but I think you need to also break it down into the visual cues of when the moves need to happen sort of like how I just did in my description. The toughest part of this jump is that heavy attack / jump combo that you need to do. People need to practice just that because not ending up doing the heavy attack is the trick. I have no idea how you hit it so consistently. The jump / heavy attack always gets me the heavy attack no matter if I hit them at the same time or roll one into the other with my thumb.
This is pretty cool. However, there are no areas in the game where this is necessary to reach secrets. Every secret has bridges or reasonably simple jump gaps to reach them.
anyone have an autohotkey script to do this? there's that one chest in the flooded area, and the other in the forest kingdom that I just suck too much to get.
You have to not press Jump & strong attack at the same time. Basically you hold jump & press strong attack very quick. It's not exactly both buttons at the same time.
@@meshelkarlee5002 You can do that move stationary. Hold the jump button & press strong attack quick. You should get an upward attack. After try with double jump... Press the jump button, after press again to hold & do a strong attack quick.
Almost.... Hold A, Hold X, XXXX,X hold A,Y,XXXX,X A, A+RB,X(hold A)XXX,X,RT,X It's important to not hold A while jumping with the pod & hold A again while mashing the XXXX. You can practice on the ground by going with the 2nd & 3rd line multiple time & finally complete the whole thing with the first line.

You have to Hold A & than press hold X to leave it so it allow you to jump twice. The upper aerial attack can only be done for the first jump.
Yes I know I see that in the video I've tried that approach myself. I've tried jumping and then I've tried just doing the moves right off the ledge not jumping
Also in the video it's written what the buttons are for the Xbox controller and not actually what the buttons control. I have my controller set up a bit differently so these symbols and letters that were written might not be the same thing I'm hitting.
All I wanted to know was what I now know is called a "pod swing". I learned how to fucking bend the universe. Thanks to the creator of the video, and the pinned comment. Both helped immensely. 😆💙
Yep, as long as your PC have an equivalence spec or more powerful than PS4 or XBOX One. You may get issue, because the lowest setting is the console setting for this game in particular aside for the graphic resolution.
There is no issue for me, I can run it maxed out without problems, I just wonder about the controller because everyone is hating the game for keyboard/mouse
