Thank you for your tests! I have this cam coming in a few days and am really interested to see how it tracks faces in low light. My kids are in HS and I really really miss the days when they were carefree like
    your daughter :)

Awesome. I'm going to be doing a lot of real work testing this weekend. I am enjoying these days of my little one. She's my world and my goal is to spend as much time hanging with her as possible:) HS does sound scary.

From what I saw in the video, a lot of photos don’t have the critical focus. Maybe the app didn’t load the photos all the way, idk. But I feel like my Sony a1 gets more photos focused right on the eyes (when it doesn’t do its signature back focus focusing on the background).

I just shot a wedding yesterday and was disappointed with the AF. I'll get a more in-depth review out soon. at this point they are probably headed back to Canon. I still need to test some more settings. The OG R5 was more accurate.

It’s probably a firmware thing then. Weird they started selling them before fixing it.

What are your overall impressions compared to the GFX 100II, particularly in terms of photography?

GFX has the best IQ and colors. Just a slower AF. I just use it for portraits and some travel photography.

@@ThePhotographerGuy Can your clients recognize the difference, or is this more about your personal workflow, like having better files for editing, etc.? Personally, I prefer using the GFX for my work because it offers better sharpness and color gradients, especially for product photography. However, sometimes I consider buying a full-frame camera for its faster autofocus. This often results in me bringing two cameras and lenses for each system :) too heavy

Hi Ely thanks for the follow up first impressions on the AF. Not familiar with the software you showed, of the ones flagged as of potential issue, were they considered to you as “false positives”? (i.e. the video stream seems to show the camera is tracking in terms of the box moving with the subject but the actual recorded image (photo or video) is actually out of focus or soft focused)
Also curious if you find the new AF system works well in low light (indoor) situations with moving subjects as you shoot your coming weddings? Noticed Canon didn’t rate the AF to as an EV vs say Nikon with the Z6III.
Lastly were you shooting here with the electronic shutter? Curious to hear if you will switch over to predominantly shooting in electronic shutter.
Looking forward to hearing about about your observations and test results!

I'll most likely be using the electronic shutter. I haven't been able to get anything to warp. I'll be getting some real work experience with it in the next couple of weeks.
