you said the motor was brushless, but on the website to buy the motor it says that it is brushed. Also the motor only has two wire coming out of it, rather than 3 which most brushless motors use,
That is a very powerful motor for one little go cart, at up to 15kw there is enough power to accelerate a 100kg mass to high speeds, the best way is to put smaller motors on each wheel. A 1.5 tone car with a 100kw can get to 150K/hr+ a go cart 100kg with 15kw may go even faster get the gearing and wind dynamics, balancing right. very cool.
quick question did you have the batteries all wired together, as in all four posts were touching another post on an opposing battery? if so you do realize you're overheating the batteries and actually destroying them. you were not getting much power from that
This is what it looks like when somebody has virtually no idea what they're doing.... looks like they are hoping to combine minimal effort + tiny bit of knowledge+ money and pfm will equal a legit electric cart....... Lmao😂😂 Good luck guys
nice to see your start at it! that motor is close to $500 on the link now. it's powerful though! not much cheaper than used golf cart motor I checked on yesterday! Nice start! I wonder how it went after....since 2015
now we can see you instead of the trails ha ha! cool cart thou,im in the process of doing some upgrades to my trek 3700 like new bar ends, lock on grips, new schwinn comfort tires for maily road but they got the knobs for trails n dirt and a bright eyes light system for cruisin at night, good stuff
speedjunkie66 Haha this is my friend, though we're both named Scott. I am helping him build and doing the filming here. Nice sounds cool, I also just got new parts for my trek 3700. I'll make a video soon.
Where did you buy the motor, & how much was it?? There are cheap but really good electronic motor controller boards & with that PM motor you can have reverse also.. Your gona melt a wire.. You need a chain tension-er
That duty cycle isn't how long it will run for, its how many times you can start the motor within an hour, constant means practically as much as you want, the rating is mainly for higher current drawing motors as when they start up the draw up to 8 times as much current than they do when they run at normal speed, this causes heat in the windings/coils and if you start turning it on and off more than the cycle time its rated for you may be overheating and damaging the motor.
Lol I was looking at startup like I dont think that's right I'm loke the positive and negative is ran together. Also in the future use a fise to keep down sparks cause it dont complete a circuit
So cars and cameras bought a go kart with a motor that starts and shifts reverse and forward for 200 dollars and you bought a frame for 400 dollars without a seat even
Looks like Brushed perm. Magnet motor to me. Only 2 terminals. Chain binding, needs adjustment for tension. After seeing that wiring and no brakes, can’t watch any longer.

A lot of people are asking about the motor used in this video. Check it out here: amzn.to/2oPIwYR

where did you get your motor controller?
The link goes to a brushed (not brush-less) motor.
This is one of my favorite videos on RUclips!
Once it reaches stop speed it self implemented weight reductions strategy. NICE
keyway, not powerbar.. very cool so far im gonna keep watching

I suggest a solar panel upgrade mod for the electric go-kart, if you want to drive this longer until it becomes night on sunny days.

Can't believe I got that Bob the Builder reference. lol I'm excited to see this progress

Good luck guys
Wow, I am speechless.

The 5/8 bore is the threaded hole in the shaft .. Not the outside diameter

Mobliz lol! my bad
Mobliz sweet!

WTF! lol
Where you get the motor controller? Looking forward to the next video!!
The "power bar" is called a woodruff key. Nice go cart 😉
parallel key I think. Woodruff is the semi-circular type. but right concept! :)
Keyway.the key is shaft key
Where did you get the chain
i would have payed $40 for that frame, but $400? That's what one of those would cost fully working
Where did you buy the motor, & how much was it??

Your gona melt a wire..
You need a chain tension-er
the wires are WAY too thin !

That's amazing man that's way cool
Where would i get that kind of motor and for how much
can you suggest me a motor for carrying 2 people
What Ah are the batteries you are using in this video?
Anyway, nice project !
+PROSHOOTERNL
Don't forget the romex and wire nuts!
which type of motor it is??
Your wire is WAY to small. Needs 2 AWG min. Great comedy show!
whats the max speed on it?
15:38 - that's what happens when you are too eager to test it out. It happens to me all the time. Luckily nothing bad happened yet :)
Batteries falling off the cart LOL!
Just call it a key way groove or slot
yeah...
has a keyed shaft and sprocket... uses allen set screws... face palm.
Or a sheer key
its not a powerbar its a key way and you need to put a key in there. yes you need to. bolts are 3/8'', 5/8'' is way bigger.
how much can cost a go kart like your?
Looks to me like they have spent over a thousand dollars for it. way to expensive..
donde consigo el.motor
I like the go krat frame can I have it if you are not using it
100th comment🎉

was the motor pulled from something out bought?
Great idea leave a liquid cell battery face down in your back yard
were i live there are go karts every were for like 30$ and under
If you want to make eco just use inplix handbooks
grub screws and key stock. lol
hope you didn't wreck the motor by thumping the sprocket on
in the beginning I was wondering if he was talking about his boyfriend or the go cart?
Power bar lmfao a key way
Power bar....hmmm most people call them a sheer key
WTF is all that dried white stuff? I understand that you're excited about this, but is that really spooge all over it???
Nice try guys!
real armor

i want one :)
Where did you bye your electric motor?
lo mejor que tienes es el motor
not the sharpest tool in the box are ya bro hahaha
Ugly shoes was my first indication this was gonna be shit

Welp, prob best I just delete this off my watch history.
Boi the motor he used is $500 😂
Yeah, going electric is NOT cheap compared to gas!
