    I have been an attorney since 1989, when I graduated law school, passed the bar and went to work as an Asst. DA. I tried over 150 jury trials, and I caught a good bit of this trial, and Justice was handed out. Buster does inherit all of his mother’s estate, and also Paul’s. By law, a murderer can never inherit from one he is convicted of killing. It is as if AM had pre-deceased Buster when it comes to inheritance in this case. But, Buster will never touch that money, all of the victims of the financial crimes will get that money before Buster. I feel there is a lot of cash offshore. The $50k/wk habit was not believable to me.

      Buster murdered his classmate and Alex covered it up. The housekeeper was murdered by Alex because she overhead something about the classmates murder and was murdered for it. Paul drank excessively because he knew of Both murders committed by Buster and Alex. Alex killed Paul because Paul was going to rat out Buster and particularly Alex for his beloved housekeepers murder. The wife who had knowledge of All the murders and stollen money, was divorcing Alex and threatened to rat him out, so Alex needed to get ride of her as well.

      I agree; $50k a week for one person's opiate habit is 100% impossible. His mistake in claiming this number was that he didn't match it with his declared consumption. His habit, if at the level he claimed, would have cost $15k, max. And that's also impossible for the human body, even with an otherworldly tolerance.
      I wouldn't go so far as to say it's he offshored the money. That's more speculation than I'll entertain. But there is definitely a lot of money that he claims left his hands that doesn't mathematically align with what was delivered back into his hands.
      Also, interesting to see someone comment that passed the Bar.👍

    • @regineuhe6657
      @regineuhe6657 Год назад +30

      You think Buster is not going to touch that money? Unfortunately I don't think so. He seems to like to spend money, travel rich, play golf, gamble and party, more than to study, anyway. From what I have read, Maggie's will had been tampered with, as a result AM and his brothers had their hands on Maggies estate right after her death and AM soon renounced the inheritance in favor of Buster, to keep it from being frozen by the judge or used against AM's debts. Seems they were able to put most in a trust, possibly along with the Randy III inheritance of AM and Buster (and Paul), but most of that won't be accessible for his creditors, it is all Busters now. Also AM's brothers sold all kinds of assets and sued AM for money he allegedly borrowed - so that thinned out even more whatever the victims could have gotten back. The family also prevailed in getting Busters name off the list of sued people in the boat case, as well as Maggie's name, so I don't see how the victims could get their hands on that money, let alone for AM's debts! Only Moselle, which was in Maggie's name alone, was agreed to be used for either the boat crash or the housekeeper's boys, I forgot which. I'm sure there is a lot more that was in Maggies name that's never been uncovered. I wonder if in fact this trust fund (in part Maggie) has been paying for AM's defense and will pay for the appeal and all further proceedings. So far his defense case must have been a million or more, and where did the money come from with AM officially broke, sitting behind bars since Oct. 2021, if not from Buster / the trust fund? But I agree there is probably a lot more cash safely stuck away off shore. It will take several years for the financial investigators to work through this and if the money is hidden in the Bahamas that's untouchable. I'm afraid by the time they put it all together, absolutely everything will be gone.

      She didn't leave the beach house to her father in law. Her will was tampered with by a handwritten note that changed executor of her will from her sisters name to her father in law, Randy the III, who of course was very ill for very long and expected to die soon. The change didn't make any sense whatsoever, but being a handwritten change made the will alltogether invalid - which a family of lawyers would only have known too well. Without a valid will everything including the execution of the inheritance went to Alex as husband automatically, Marian didn't even find out that she had originally been named the executor until half a year later, they never told her! Alex stepped back, had one of his brothers handle the matter, of course renounced the inheritance in favor of Buster, so the money couldn't be touched for his victims. Just another family scheme imo.

      I get tired of hearing how sweet Maggie apparently was; she fed Paul so much booze for years long before the horrible boat crash that killed Mallory Beach, and she never held him accountable. I don't see how she was any better than the rest of the family. I could go on and on, like about her being OK with the police and other organizations hiding evidence to protect her family in every occasion, trying to blame Connor Cook for being the intoxicated driver in the fatal boat crash and being OK knowing another innocent boy might falsely go to prison, and accepting the bull crap that Stephen Smith died by a hit and run, yet Buster's name being mentioned as possibly being responsible for his death gets buried. She was the devil in disguise, and she, Paul and Alex got their just rewards - hopefully Buster will too in time.

      I never believed that (Paw-Paw) nick name cr@p ~ all through the trial and in cop interviews Alec had no problem saying the name Paul when referring to his son, then all of a sudden towards the end of trial he started calling his wife (Mags) & his son (Paw-Paw) did anybody else call him that (NO)

    I feel just awful for Paul and his Mom I found out about this story via Netflix this past week (I'm at episode 3), so sad. Family should always come before money.. I wonder what the motive was.

      If you really wonder what the motive was, watch the closing arguments by the prosecution (the rebuttal is shorter and better). But if you are looking for this to "make sense" as a motive to slaughter your own son & wife, you won't ever find it.

    That will not be easy. It's not like when you are 20 and you leave home to have your own place and start a life like working, getting yourself installed in an appartment or house, buy furniture, etc. Buster will have to learn all this while he grieves the lost of his whole family. We hope that Alex's brothers will support Buster but man, he has a huge hill to climb. Best of luck bro and prayers for you to reach a peaceful life.
