    SPC is complete garbage. Mine have x-axis bushings that clunk like crazy and the fix is installing new ones witch requires cutting out and pressing in new ones and they’re the same exact bushings! Garbage product

      Thoughts on a better Tundra UCA you'd recommend?

    I broke my spc ball joints on my Toyota Tacoma trd off-road with 2.5 fox shocks after 1k miles

      So sorry to hear that! After 1k miles?! Hope you got in touch with SPC to resolve the situation…they have headquarters here in Denver so I personally went to talk to them. They ended up giving me new UCA’s and covered some of the install. I still trust SPC and their parts…hope you were able to figure out a good fix for your truck! Have a blessed day 😎

    I like you truck, I was considering SPC UCA's but after research JBA UCA's came into mine, have you or anyone you know, have experience on JBA offroad? I Like your KTM sticker

      @huntercarlson5446  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for the comment! I have not had any experience with JBA…SPC is here in Colorado along with ToyTech (for Toyota’s) so I tried to keeps parts and manufacturers close to where I live… what did you put those UCA’s on? Thanks for the KTM shout out! Do you have one or ride at all?! Have a blessed day 😎

      @@huntercarlson5446 Thank you for the reply, I haven't yet installed any after market UCA yet, plus I only did a 2" lift on my 2018 Tundra TRD 4X4, I installed Bilstein 6112 in the third clip up front and 5160 out back.
      I own a 2017 KTM 250SX two smoker

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  3 года назад +1

      Love it! The UCA’s are only recommended for our lift, but does add more strength in the front end. I still really trust and support SPC! SPC took care of me and reassured me that the weld that failed was a total freak accident! It might be from all the crap they put on our roads out here in Colorado that rusted it out…
      Happy you share the passion of KTM! I have a 2006 SuperDuke 990, 2018 300 2 stroke 6 days, 2019 500 (for baja), and 2007 525 ( old Baja bike, saving it for a friend)…I’m a KTM nut…still single and no kids so I’m blessed to have the toys in the garage! If you ever make it to Colorado or Moab to ride let me know lol!
      I ride with my dad and his friends most the time…1 of them is a mechanic and has a 2017 ktm 250 that is bored with a “reckluse” clutch and it just destroys all the 300’s! I’m constantly just shaking my head…
      Talk with ya later!

    Wowwwwwwwww not cool,yes you are very fortunate,I have an 08 Sequoia Limited with 197,000 miles and I need upper control arms,I was debating aftermarket or ORIGINAL,your video make it clear to me that I'll stick with ORIGINAL parts,really good video my man...

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment! If your Sequoia still has stock suspension then I totally would recommend going with a stock part...but I still trust SPC in the end for my lift, they did take care of me for my situation and reassured me that it was a fluke situation...You might need to pay a little bit more for a OEM part, but you may be right sticking to original parts! Thanks for sharing your side! Have a blessed day! 😎

    Here I was about to order these for my 2021 Canyon but man that is unreal just broke right off. My problem is I have to have a real ball joint due to salty roads and under 0 degrees weather. Uniball will be done in one month of salty roads and brutal conditions for 4 months a year and I go hard in the trails. Now I’m starting to think I shouldn’t buy these. I been searching for days for high angle UCA with a ball joint. Spc all I can find. You happen to know any other company running ball joints not delta joint or uniball. You haul tools I hit jumps at high speeds what would happen to me if I put SPC on. Here I thought SPC was high end stuff. Good thing you stopped your rig before all hell broke lose!

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  3 года назад +1

      I still trust SPC and in my situation it was a complete fluke that the weld failed on me! I haul tools and trailers in my tundra so I wouldn’t get the same wear and tear as you would jumping or trail riding your Canyon. SPC gave me new UCA’s after showing them the weld that failed. Their newer UCA product is now stronger and a little more “beefy” than the ones they were selling 4-5 years ago. Sorry I don’t know of any other companies to help your situation. SPC still has my trust for towing and hauling tools, but I understand your use of the Canyon is very different! All I can say is that SPC stands behind their products and has a headquarters here in Denver so it’s easy for me to speak to them directly. Good luck with finding the right set-up for your truck! You should come to Colorado for some Rocky Mountain trail riding! 😎 have a blessed day

      @@huntercarlson5446 pretty much a beefed up UCA with better angles and clearance with the same quality OEM ball joints and OEM style bushings. In my eyes, bullet proof. They had a 25% off fall code, I think just ended. Paid 600$ for some beefy stuff, just got them, will post a short video on YT if you wanna check it out

      My SPC upper control arms just arrived and they have been redesigned so I think that was an
      Isolated incident these products are incredibly strong look how well you're arm did with one side broken.

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  3 года назад +1

      I 100% agree with you! They did redesign the UCA’s and “beefed” them up a little! SPC assured me this was a fluke accident with the weld breaking, they gave me brand new parts after they inspected the damaged UCA… I now have 60,000 miles on the new ones and going strong! Great point on how strong they are…I drove about 400 miles in that week listening to a “clunk” sound in the wheel well…glad I finally inspected the sound…congrats on your new setup! Don’t be discouraged at all from my video with your new parts, SPC definitely supports their customers and stands behind their product!

      I honestly don’t remember a certain point...I did have about 90,000 miles on them and never really went “off-roading”. After talking with SPC they really didn’t have an answer for me...maybe just a small flaw at the weld...no one really had an answer. SPC did stand behind their product and covered the new ones for me after they inspected the broken part! I still would highly recommend them on your TOY!

      Stock ones do suck! Lol 😂 Your exactly right, rusted at weld then failed! But......SPC did cover 2 brand new ones for me, I just had to pay a little for labor and alignment...I will still recommend SPC for any Toyota, they actually stand behind and warranty their products!
