I saw Kiss for the first time in 1979 in Paris the People were crazy, the guards in front were screaming they couldn't take it anymore I still remember it.
Going to see KISS in 1996 on their reunion tour when I was 19 is still one of the best experiences in my lifetime. I had goosebumps the entire show and it was the most starstruck I've ever been, seeing them in person. They looked and sounded phenomenal, played every song I wanted to hear (especially Shock Me), and out of 250 concerts I've been to nothing was as good.
I saw KISS in July 2013 for the first time. I was 49! I laughed maniacally for about 3 months afterward every time I heard a KISS song. I'm so glad I got to see them. Such a spectacle of a show.
I got to see KISS around 1975. It was the first concert I ever went to. I was a huge KISS fan then. I was 13 and my mom drove me and my best friend to the arena and sat there with us. Then I got to see them again in 1996 when they all reunited. It was pretty awesome. I am not much of a KISS fan anymore but those show were pretty memorable.
I saw Kiss live in '77 and '79 for the Love Gun/Alive II and Dynasty tours. AC/DC with Bon Scott opened the Love Gun tour. My first concert as a 12 year old and only concert out of hundreds that the opening band played 3 encores. I'll bet Kiss was pissed.
Thank you for these five installments. They brought back so many awesome memories! I remember hearing Rock and Roll All Nite and Beth on the radio when I was about 13. I loved both songs, but I was actually 'afraid' of KISS as a band (especially Gene). Then, at the start of my freshman year of high school, everyone was talking about going to see KISS during the Love Gun tour. I was really intrigued, as KISS was evvvverrrywhere! However, it wasn't until 1979 that I became a true fan. I saw them live for the first time in November of 1979 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California. I had just turned 16 not long before. It was the most amazing experience of my life! First off, I went with my cousin, and we had will-call tickets; the seats were in the nosebleed section. I went up to the will-call window and the lady there said she could get us better seats. I didn't know she was talking to me. I took the tickets out of the envelope she'd handed me, and the words 'Arena Floor' jumped out at me like fireworks! So rather than nosebleed seats, we were 8 freakin' rows from the stage! Towards the end of the concert my cousin and I went down to the front (as Paul had told us to do lol), and even in the crush of people it was amazing. I was right up against the fence, and there they were, mere feet away! At one point it looked as though Gene looked right at me and stuck out his tongue. :D When Peter sang Beth, I was gripping the fence, screaming and crying (he was and still is my favorite). I wish I'd gotten a rose, but just seeing him sing that song live was enough. As the concert was coming to a close, all this confetti starting raining down, and it was all over me. So I picked off every piece of it I could in order to save it as a memento. I ended up taping it all to a piece of paper and putting it in a scrapbook along with my concert ticket stub and all the pictures of KISS I'd been collecting. By that time I'd purchased every single one of their albums through Dynasty. I wasn't just a fan; I was a KISS fanatic. I could recite lines from the Tom Snyder interview, as I'd recorded it with a little cassette recorder so I could hear them talk as often as I liked. :D The first sad thing I remember was when I heard Peter had married Debra Jensen. However, since I lived in Southern California, I had a rather interesting experience. My cousin and I were at Knott's Berry Farm and we had our KISS shirts on. An employee of the park told us that Peter's brother-in-law was a ride operator on the Log Ride, so we ran over there and got to meet Debra's brother, Peter. When it was announced the following year that Peter had left the band, I was in shock and didn't want to believe it. I found the phone number to Aucoin Management and called them to find out if it was true. The very kind receptionist told me it was. I'm sorry to say that I kind of lost interest in the band at that point, at least for a little while. I still bought Unmasked, and later Creatures of the Night, but it just wasn't the same. Still, in addition to seeing KISS live in '79, I saw them during the Creatures of the Night tour at the Universal Amphitheater (sadly without Ace or Peter). I saw them twice at the Los Angeles Forum during their Reunion tour (Peter and Ace were back! Yay!), and at one of those concerts in August it was Gene's birthday, so the entire audience sang 'Happy Birthday' to him! I saw them for the last time during the Psycho Circus tour. I am so very happy that I've seen the original KISS 4 out of the 5 times I've been to their concerts. To close this really lengthy post I would just like to say to Ace, it was not only about the make-up and the show. The music is what stays with me today. The music rocked, and my only regret is that I didn't see KISS live before 1979, since the music from the early days is still kick-ass! I never cared when people said "KISS sucks". I know differently. I am thrilled to have been a fan of the Hottest Band in the World, the REAL KISS!
Destroyer was my FIRST album. Me and my brother, we painted ourselves and did airguitar/airdrums. Being from Mexico, going to see them live was just a crazy dream. Years later they came down and it was beautiful. 2019 they came back for their 100th goodbye tour. It was different; no Ace or Peter; but I went with my 10 year old son. I cried a lot. So many memories and the chance to share this with him was overwhelming.
I remember seeing kiss at their Reunion tour. Being 5 years old at my first concert ever, there was nor ever will be a greater feeling than that. Psycho Circus tour came around, I jumped at that chance as well. My dad, step-dad and mom (at least at the time) were all big fans of Kiss so it was even more enjoyable. I had it drilled into my head by my step dad that Kiss were a group of super heroes that could do anything.
There's something about being a KISS fan. They were my introduction to Rock & Roll. The Destroyer album. I'd never heard guitars like that in all my 16 years on Earth at the time, lol. I will always be KISS fan. Favorite album: Rock & Roll Over.
Haven't been associated with Kiss for many, many years. I was there when their first studio album came out and played it like crazy. The first Live album was insane. After watching this it was great to have all the memories flooding back, but at the same time seeing the band falling apart is tough. When your a kid of 15 this band was everything to me. Yeah, I got picked on for liking them. I kinda dropped them after the solo albums. The whole KISS story is bitter sweet. Nothing ever stays the same, especially with rock n roll bands. The early years, it was a magical time.
Okay! Eric Carr! Is Eric Singer their drummer, now? Saw the Lick it Up" Tour, no makeup, no expectations. Really surprised me! Great show! Very impressed! Still great(except always new songs, included, too sell/get fans into new album. Now, just the old school hits! One more time! I want to hear the old school stuff, with makeup, and all the classics!
Tim Turk Yes, Eric Singer is currently the drummer. I had much more respect for Eric Singer when he played drums for Alice Cooper.I have absolutely no respect for the current lineup. Both Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer try to be exact clones of Peter and Ace. I realize that Ace and Peter gave up their right their right to own their KISS image, but that shows what Gene and Paul are made of.
I last saw KISS on the Farewell tour in OKC. What a blast! I forget the opening act, 80's band and a great one in its day. Then came the Motor City Mad Man! I sported my homemade Demon costume and 8" platforms. I looked like I came from the pits of Hell. When I went to my seat, I opened the wrong door and was behind stage. One S/G finally came to me and said "You are too thin, where is your ticket and we will help you find your seat." During that night I took dozens of pictures with young ladies and children. Naturally, they knew that I was not Gene, but I was a novelty for them to take home and keep. Uncle Ted came on stage while I was trying to get my next 'I was There' shirt. At the back of the extremely long line, I stood out The guy that was running the merch table asked everyone to part and waved me to come to the table. Everyone was snapping a camera and I was polite and respectfully apologized, even posing for the camera with another fan. I asked the guy, why? He said "You have the most killer costume I have ever seen!". Wow! My ex-step-daughter can still spot me on Halloween. I asked her how can she? Her answer was "Outside of Gene, your the only one that can do it right."
I saw that same show in Houston, TX, 1979. It flew then he shot it down with another guitar. His solo was built around the music from Close Encounters of the Third Kind (it was popular at the time) My first concert.... sure spoiled me for the rest of the shows I've seen. Ace is the man!
I just watched each of the five parts to this story. I enjoyed it and was entertained. I grew up in the 70s and was a member of the KISS army. And yes this was a worldwide phenomenon which this documentary leaves out. They just played at S.P.A.C (Saratoga preforming arts center) in Saratoga springs N.Y. Still kicking ass. 2019
You sometimes, and most cases just can not beat originality, and that's what made KISS such a brilliant band. Rock bands took a huge hit at the end of the 70s with disco and punk coming along so strongly..All bands lose popularity sooner or later, but what they did do was outstanding from their time together. Most bands have splits and KISS were no different. Thanks for the 5 videos, they were GREAT!
one thing they don't explain is peter was fired. he didn't leave on his own. ace, paul, gene voted him out. bill aucoin does an interview that says that he was voted out and asked ace before he left the meeting if he agreed with paul and gene and ace said yes. everyone admits it now ,except peter, even ace says peter was fired.
See the thing is that Ace could party hard but still relatively keep it up, still played awesome on the shows. Peter just couldnt handle it as well, so he was fired. Ace LEFT because he was tired of doing an album, touring, no rest, another album, another tour. Its great that they could pump out so much music, but Ace had enough and wanted to slow down in terms of music. I think if they stayed together, they could have been the next Beatles.
Every time I watch one of those throw back videos about KISS in the 70s I start crying because I realise that I will never experience that. I just wish I was born back then. Then I realise that Paul is losing his voice and KISS is doing they're last tour ok I'm sobbing I have to stop 😭😭😭
Sapphire Shine I have been lucky enough to see them at their best and worst. Tommy should never have been picked to replace Bruce Kulick. But in the spirit of KISS! The show must go on.
I'm not gonna lie, I also feel kinda sad that I'll never be able to witness kiss live and in person. Even kiss with Tommy and Eric. Quite depressing actually.
I saw KISS the first time they came to Charlotte and every time they came back to Charlotte. I took myself to see them August 10, 2019 for my 60th Birthday. IT WAS GREAT JUST LIKE EVERYTIME I SAW THEM. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED GENE SIMMONS AND I ALWAYS WILL.
I saw Jimi Hendrix live twice (Oakland and Santa Clara) before I entered the army in 1970. Old age has its benefits. BTW: at 66, I still kick ass mtn. biking and hiking.
Ace's closing statement: "we are going to be remembered more for the make-up than the music". No, Ace, you're wrong. Kiss inspired legions of rock musicians to pick up their instruments, and you, Ace.....I have lost count of the guitarists for whom you've been a pivotal influence....including me. For kids of my generation (I was born in 1968) who started playing guitar at the end of the 1970s, even before Clapton, Hendrix, or Page, there was Ace Frehley.....
Giorgio Curcetti -- Ace was my very first guitar hero since I was a seven-year-old boy and given the Destroyer LP (my very first record) for my birthday. I never played guitar, only brass in the school bands. (Trumpet, trombone and euphonium.)
chivalryalive + same here. Only that I'm afraid to my Kiss introduction L.P was not the cool mid-70s albums but "Dinasty" ( "I was made for loving you" was a big worldwide hit in1979) then I worked my way back to the classics. I even loved "Unmasked" and "The elder"....by the time of "Creatures of the night" and "Lick it up" I started going off them...for a start, Ace was no longer there (a big reason of my abandonment of Kiss music), then because they simply did no longer sound like Kiss....in my humble opinion...
1975 I was 12 y/o playing the trumpet in my school band. One day my older brother brought home an 8 track tape (Kiss Alive) , A month or so later I had a guitar in my hands Because of Kiss (Ace). 44 years later still playing.
4:44 - Paul comes across as a cult leader hypnotizing followers with those overly rehearsed speeches. He hardly ever gave "normal' interviews, just as you'll see on the Tomorrow show. He and Gene were always about "the best image" while Ace and Peter were talented musicians just enjoying themselves on the road as well as in the studio. I always looked forward to hearing Ace and Peter's latest when a new KISS album came out and they never disappointed me. The one time I thought Ace was off was when he sang "Shock Me" on Alive II, when his voice broke in the first verse. However, that was one damn good guitar solo. I wish there was a part 6. Each time I play these clips I really get into them.
I remember this....it was a so much different after this happened in our lives with kiss....I can always say that I loved kiss more than ever and I will always love them.... thanks to Ronnie ,Scotty and Randy ... friends my entire life.....I lost contact with those guys but never my memories of us.... all I have to do is play any kiss song and they are all back in my life....god I love them more than ever..ALL OF THEM
They were important members especially Carr but the title of this documentary is When Kiss Ruled The World. They weren't part of Kiss when Kiss ruled the world.
I saw the original 4 kiss members in 2000 which was a honor , now we are 2013 and get the chance to see them with Eric and Tommy and hope it will be as good as my first concert and am sure it will be amazing
There's nothing like seeing the original band/brothers playing again They bring the magic to the stage like none other..I'm glad I watched all five of the documentaries.. and for once Paul didn't put Peter down that's a miracle in itself! I lmfao 😂 have to see the movie 😂😂😂
@KISSguitarist no bob was originally the guitar player KISS went with when they the additions in 1973 but ace walked in and basiclly told bob to kiss his ass and started playing in the middle of bobs addition, and kiss told bob we are sorry but you dont get the job you dont compare to this guy... Gene: whats your name Ace: paul frehley but my friends call me Ace Gene & Paul: Well theres your name
KISS did some awesome songs I partied to after Ace & Peter left the band, but you can never beat the band without them. Especially Ace! His guitar skills have never been beaten by ANY fake replacements! Always will be a true Rock & Roll God for not just his amazing incredible talent with his weapon of choice the guitar, but also his charisma and just having fun and loving it of playing his music, with the band and without.
@KISSguitarist actually bob kulick auditioned originally to be in kiss, but ace got the part. though yeah he got offered or rather asked if he knew of a good replacement for mark st. john for the animalize tour, he suggested his brother bruce rather than himself.
I started to listen to kiss when I was 12 years old, the album l've got as a gift from a friend...psycho circus...loved it...then I went out and looked for another album, and found revenge, loved it also, but the downside was I didn't realize ace and peter weren't in it...
You gotta love how Paul Stanley says "Maybe we were a wake up call to audiences that they don't have to accept crap and they don't have to accept less".... Several years later he is lip syncing on stage. If that isn't making your fans accept crap I don't know what else you would call it. Nobody was a bigger fan of KISS since 1974 than me. 45 years later I wouldn't walk across the street to see them if I was given free front row tickets with backstage passes.
I'm not even a true KISS fan but this has been incredibly interesting and I have watched all 5 of 5 and enjoyed every bit of it. Some of the songs I do remember from my early teens and they were great songs and we always turned em up! I'm glad they are all doing well in their lives. I've read some of the comments and I didn't know that Eric Carr was even a member, let alone that he passed. That's truly sad that there was no mention of him. Someone did mention that this was about the band before he was in it so that makes sense, still sad though.
there r always people badmouthing Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer for taking Ace and Peter's place and really insulting them. I wanna tell people like that: SHUT UP! they're on stage to entertain u, so don't complain. I myself, as a dedicated KISS fan would love to see the original line-up (if I was on my death-bed and make a wish came to me, that would be my wish) but I'm still ECXTATIC that come May 29th I'm gonna see the group LIVE in concert!
Bob Kulick recorded all the guitar solo's on Paul Stanleys solo album and some of the guitar work on several albums during the 70's and 80's so he was in KISS for a while but not publicly. He played lead guitar on Pauls solotour in the 80's aswell.
Yes, i was the opposite. I never want to hear their song because of the make up, i used to thought based on their appearance their songs will be like sone death metal or underground songs. Lately i just discovered their song really good and multi genre
They found a market, and they exploited it. That is what anyone who is successful does. Nothing wrong with it at all. I've seen them in concert twice, both times post-make-up and pre-reunion. Had two great evenings. Even so, I would like to see the current show.
Last time I saw Kiss on RUclips was about a year ago and Paul was losing his voice. I wasn't sure if they were still out there doing it now. Those guys are 10 years older than me and I'm 58. How much longer can it last?
Also for the record, As much as the original lineup was my favorite, my all time second favorite lineup is with Paul, Gene, Eric and my man Bruce! I wish that lineup came back
AT 2:00 it says it all. In life there is tough times to get it back and with perseverance it can be done! I would wager I could walk in the band today and make it happen again! So mote it be!
Now that I've been reading almost all the comments, my mind popped a crazy question: first of all I want to clarify Im a KISS fan since day one, I passed my 40's and Im still a fan no matter what, but obviously Im very fond of the first era with Ace and Peter. Having said that and since Paul, Gene and Eric (Singer) have played with Bruce Kulick already for so many years and since Eric became the catman figure; why wouldn't they talk Bruce into it to be the Spaceman instead of Tommy?
Paul Stanley is so right. I don't have to accept crap and i don't have to accept less. That's why my last Kiss concert was October 6th 2000. Not one nickle on the tribute band they are today.
The band should be proud of it. I know if those guys wanted to, they could write some pretty far out shit. You're right man, the album had some really great work on it.
You are right. It's totally out of Eric and Tommy's control. Gene and Paul are the leaders of the band and I'm sure Gene thinks that people want to see the original make up. Fans were lost during the days of The Fox and The Ankh Warrior even though it was super cool to see those new characters. Unfortunately, Gene doesn't seem to realize it was the music and huge personalities of Peter and Ace that counted not their make up designs. Their late 80s music simply went a little poppy for many.
Was Bruce the one who had to stop because he got sick, or was that the guy before him? I've always wondered why you never hear from Vinnie Vincent. He had his own character, but never gets mentioned.
From what I've heard, he's pretty reclusive, so my guess is he doesn't want to do any interviews and documentaries. I might be wrong about that though.
You have to give them credit. They wanted it and they went after it. they aren't super fantastic trained educated musicians. They just liked to play and wanted to be rock stars. So they made it happen.
I wonder why Gene never mentions how little he actually played on Dynasty & Unmasked? Ace started playing bass on his own songs as far back as Rocket Ride in 1977. A third of the songs on Dynasty & Unmasked are Ace's and Gene didn't play anything on them. He also didn't play on many of Paul's 1979/80 songs either. Gene was replaced on many Kiss tracks from 1979-80 but never feels the need to mention it publicly. I wonder why......Gene Simmons = Judgmental hypocrite/Revisionist of Kisstory.
Haha, I love how they "were at their peak" in 1978, and then the "kiss empire began to crumble" in "the 1979-era".. they had a nice, long time at the top :p I wish they had talked about the 80s.. That's the most interesting era in my opinion (the early/late 80's, NOT around Asylum and Crazy nights :p).. I know a lot of people would disagree :p
@VOSTFR I too think they should have been mentioned, but the title is when KISS ruled the world. That was before Eric's time. The rest is just kind of an epiloge
WOW I remember this I still have a KISS Zippo " DYNASTY" unused lighter in the box Key word NASTY . Damn talk about trying to rebirth KISS . I stil a KISS fan regardless. I wish I could figure out how to share a picture of the lighter.
sampraz hudson Well, if you listen to other songs from the Disco era, a lot of them sound similar to "I was made for loving you", they all have that somewhat generic disco beat to them, despite the actual genre of music it was
It's the driving, pulsing rhythm section and the "doo-doo-doo" hook. It does sound a lot like other disco songs, but played by a rock band. Disco was great anyway, it just got a bad rap at a certain stage, for really no reason at all.
I agree with you...putting Thayer and Singer in Ace and Peter's makeup is a complete disgrace. If Paul and Gene are that hell bent on continuing then they should've asked Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer to play and and they should've taken the makeup back off. That would've been more respectable. Now they're really just a glorified cover band.
01:50 One more record !?! He did first "Unmasked" and then "The Elder" and was on the cover for both "killers" and "creatures of the night" aswell. Funny, that they'll miss a essential thing such as that..
I watched all 5 of these! Not many fans did that. Thumbs up if you watched all 5. Only the REAL FANS did that!!
Well, they are not very long videos. Its not like a marathon.

Both Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer try to be exact clones of Peter and Ace. I realize that Ace and Peter gave up their right their right to own their KISS image, but that shows what Gene and Paul are made of.
NO ONE EVER HAS BEEN OR EVER WILL BE BETTER THAN KISS
I came to tears almost when I saw the fans in the 1996 detroit rock city music video, I actually felt a connection to them right then
Paul Stanley is gorgeous just purely gorgeous beautiful voice beautiful face beautiful physic
I saw them for the first time in 1979 in Montreal, I was 13 and it was a dream come true ! They are part of my story. Kiss is legend !
3:10. Tupac introducing KISS at the Grammys. OH MY GOD. That was epic!
I was at the Tiger Stadium concert and it was INSANE!
I was too young boy that album how it looked the picture on it album Adventure it was awesome something that you remember your lifetime
Thank-you so much for postin' this up! LONG LIVE KISS AND THE KISS ARMY!!!
KISS is the greatest of all time.
My first concert July 1979 Greensboro NC.. I was 13 yrs old.. What an awesome night..
Paul Stanley told us why in his book
Wow, I was there back then and it was good but damn, its nothing worth crying over. I think perception is greater than reality.
I LOVE KISS, always have, always will, they saved my life, I'll never forget
I saw Jimi Hendrix live twice (Oakland and Santa Clara) before I entered the army in 1970. Old age has its benefits. BTW: at 66, I still kick ass mtn. biking and hiking.
KISS reunion tour 1996. The only concert I couldn't talk for days after because of screaming every lyric. It was an awesome show.
Damn Bro... I tried to get tix for that tour. I would've given my left arm to go.
Ace rules
1975 I was 12 y/o playing the trumpet in my school band. One day my older brother brought home an 8 track tape (Kiss Alive) , A month or so later I had a guitar in my hands Because of Kiss (Ace). 44 years later still playing.
Meh. More so for the make-up.
Really glad I got to see them on the end of the road tour at the sprint center!
I remember this....it was a so much different after this happened in our lives with kiss....I can always say that I loved kiss more than ever and I will always love them.... thanks to Ronnie ,Scotty and Randy ... friends my entire life.....I lost contact with those guys but never my memories of us.... all I have to do is play any kiss song and they are all back in my life....god I love them more than ever..ALL OF THEM
I have to agree the reunion tour was awesome! saw them in 97 in moline, Ill, a very special time indeed.
Same here. Saw them in 2000 and never been back. I'm a big fan of Ace and Peter. Being a kid in the late 1970's these guys did rule the world.....
that´s awesome. all 5 videos are great.
There's nothing like seeing the original band/brothers playing again
They bring the magic to the stage like none other..I'm glad I watched all five of the documentaries.. and for once Paul didn't put Peter down that's a miracle in itself! I lmfao 😂 have to see the movie 😂😂😂
I seen KISS 1979 best concert Of all
And Iam still KISS fan
KISS ARMY HECK YEAH
@KISSguitarist no bob was originally the guitar player KISS went with when they the additions in 1973 but ace walked in and basiclly told bob to kiss his ass and started playing in the middle of bobs addition, and kiss told bob we are sorry but you dont get the job you dont compare to this guy...
Gene: whats your name
Ace: paul frehley but my friends call me Ace
Gene & Paul: Well theres your name
KISS did some awesome songs I partied to after Ace & Peter left the band, but you can never beat the band without them. Especially Ace! His guitar skills have never been beaten by ANY fake replacements! Always will be a true Rock & Roll God for not just his amazing incredible talent with his weapon of choice the guitar, but also his charisma and just having fun and loving it of playing his music, with the band and without.
@KISSguitarist
actually bob kulick auditioned originally to be in kiss, but ace got the part. though yeah he got offered or rather asked if he knew of a good replacement for mark st. john for the animalize tour, he suggested his brother bruce rather than himself.
God I remember watching this documentary as it aired! Childhood memories
Fantastic video thanks for up loading
loved!!!
thank you for posting this videos!!!
there r always people badmouthing Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer for taking Ace and Peter's place and really insulting them.
Ace, i beg to differ with your closing comments, the TRUE fans, aka: "THE KISS ARMY", will ALWAYS remember the music for sure!!!
...@ 4:50, the shows & the make-up were always a bonus to the music
Kiss and makeup. Nothing like the original. It's forever.
Bob Kulick recorded all the guitar solo's on Paul Stanleys solo album and some of the guitar work on several albums during the 70's and 80's so he was in KISS for a while but not publicly. He played lead guitar on Pauls solotour in the 80's aswell.
The elder was a departure from their main kind of music, but you'll actually find it was a good album and it has a huge following
Great documentary, enough said :)
Ace was wrong!!!!!!! It's not the make-up it is the Music and the memorries that go with it!!!!
Ace was being humble.
It's the energy and enthusiasm that went with the make up, great stage show, and some catchy friggin' songs.
Yes, i was the opposite. I never want to hear their song because of the make up, i used to thought based on their appearance their songs will be like sone death metal or underground songs.
Lately i just discovered their song really good and multi genre
I hope they do one more reunion.
Got my Tix for the End of Road Tour - Houston Tx. More than pleased with current line up..can always count on a solid show...
i remeber my dad telling me stories of how he was picked on by liking kiss:( and when they comes to sweden he ses the bullies on the show ^^
They found a market, and they exploited it. That is what anyone who is successful does. Nothing wrong with it at all. I've seen them in concert twice, both times post-make-up and pre-reunion. Had two great evenings. Even so, I would like to see the current show.
not seen this for years thanks /,,/
what!! I was made for loving you is one of my favorite songs! who could hate it?
Great videos, thanks 4 posting!!
KISS FOREVER!!!
Nice to see Richie Ranno on here, top bloke, great guitarist too
wasn't there a snow storm that time too?
Kiss, could you PLEASE rule the world so much that there is ABSOLUTELY no sign that JUSTIN BIEBER exists?
Man I had no clue who KISS was when I saw those grammys (I was like 9 or 10) but I still remember that.
You have to give them credit. They wanted it and they went after it. they aren't super fantastic trained educated musicians. They just liked to play and wanted to be rock stars. So they made it happen.
Do you got more of thes interesting videos ?! Love them!
"I like to think we actually created the bar"...absolutely!
Incredible documentary! If anybody says Kiss sucks they're wrong.
BentBrent69 I agree.....what I want to know is....what's songs did ace not play lead on?
Perhaps Bob Kulick has the answer.
I miss when vh1 use to air programs like this. Btw Peter was a fucking riot this whole interview 🤣
Who all went to the end of the road tour?
I saw the end of road tour new Orleans and Byron Minnesota
@ 4:00 - oh, hell yeah we missed you! Remember, KISS is w/ Peter and Ace; KISS w/o is O.K.!! No offense, Tommy and Eric play, but Ace and Peter WERE!
Watched em all
BEST Ace impression ever
WOW I remember this I still have a KISS Zippo " DYNASTY" unused lighter in the box Key word NASTY . Damn talk about trying to rebirth KISS . I stil a KISS fan regardless. I wish I could figure out how to share a picture of the lighter.
Was that, 3 Pacs, for Shure ?
The part I dont get is I was made for lovin you is hardly a fuckin Disco song....wtf
i know. it sounds like a rock song to me. whats so disco about it?
i was mad for lovin you is a bad ass song ... you are right!!!
*****
the bass is the best part of this song. imo that was genes best contribution to the band lol just kidding he also had the best makeup haha
sampraz hudson Well, if you listen to other songs from the Disco era, a lot of them sound similar to "I was made for loving you", they all have that somewhat generic disco beat to them, despite the actual genre of music it was
It's the driving, pulsing rhythm section and the "doo-doo-doo" hook. It does sound a lot like other disco songs, but played by a rock band.
Disco was great anyway, it just got a bad rap at a certain stage, for really no reason at all.
I saw them live last weekend
2pac and kiss on stage “THSE MY HOMEBOYS” hahahahaha
@Defender78 I know right? I wanted to hear about what happened in the "make up off" era! I love those songs too!
KISS FOREVER!
3.55 what song is that?
ACE is my MAN!! Always has been and always WILL BE!!
Rainy Day I’d still do him
2:47 something lacking? Come on. Lick It Up and Revenge are great albums
He did first "Unmasked" and then "The Elder"
and was on the cover for both "killers" and "creatures of the night" aswell.
Funny, that they'll miss a essential thing such as that..
