His personality is my favorite, and I think that most True KISS fans would say that. Reading the other KISS fans comments about Ace always makes me smile. It's obvious that his fans really love him, both as a Guitarist and a person.
What's cool about Destroyer is I was born the day it came out. My Dad was a KISS fan and he was friends with one of the big DJ's here. He found out my Dad was at the hospital waiting for me to be born and the DJ stole the promotional copy sent to the radio station to give to my Dad and ended up giving me as a birth gift. I still have it to this day.

Ace is such a genuine guy, honest, down to earth, modest even.... yet he was the most talented musician in the group. His humility and honesty is what makes Ace fans so loyal in spite of his admitted shortcomings and failings. I believe what Ace says. Every time Gene and Paul open their mouths there's an agenda'. Spin. A sales pitch. With Ace there's none of that. Just his honest take on things. I like that. Keep on keeping on Ace. You're a legend.

Probably the best and most honest interviews. Ace accepts his down falls and tells the truth without shitting on the rest of the guys. Wish Paul and Gene could do this.

Love Ace! He exudes charisma! A great musician and song writer and amazing stage presence, I love his humility and story telling. I loved kiss from the age of 14, when I discovered them. Going to see them in Baltimore for the end of the road tour all these years later!
Ace was always my favorite.. even put ace makeup for Halloween as a kid,, plus his signature classic amazing original guitar style has always been underrated and overlooked.
Yeah, he got a little cocky in the middle years there. I like this Ace the best. But he's had the same laid back attitude since day 1. I'd challenge ANYONE to have lived the life he's lived and still be humble.
I was a kid in the 70's, my best friend Charlie was really big on this live (kinda) album KISS Alive. He played part of it to me, and I fell in love with Ace's solo work. All these years later, I still love 70's KISS.
Love Ace. 💕Best guitar player ever!🙂He has so much talent. He speaks so honest. Having his own solo career is great. Love his album. So sad he is not in the band anymore. Can't believe they never praised him on his guitar playing? How sad!! Ace has many talents. Him and Peter, made KISS the greatest band ever!💕
Strange ways, Parasite, Dark light, his solo album, he wrote the best KISS songs. The KISS sound in the 70's was because of him. Love the guy. Love KISS.
At the age of 54, Im returning to the bands that fascinated me when young. Im enjoying all the interviews and videos of Kiss's concerts. Have to say after listening for hours now, Ace is the most interesting, talented and humble. Life's struggles can gain a person a lot more wisdom of how to live a better future.
Even Peter's exe-wife who was a photographer for early KISS who read all the books said the only honest book was Ace's. She said from Day 1, Ace was always an odd guy, but he was honest. He was also someone you had to take at face value, but he was stated to always be honest and genuine.
This is a great interview. This guy's asking real good questions and Ace is answering honestly and to the best of his memory. Excellent. Enjoyed this very much. Ace is a fun, cool dude!
I'll bet that Paul and Gene were upset, upon hearing that comment! These two always want the glory for themselves. They've definetly been around long after Ace and Peter left... for the second time. But, whose Album sold the most copies, and even had a hit single? I do believe that it was Ace Frehley. Ace put together lead solos that Paul Stanley never even tried to put together. Ace was the heart and soul of KISS. After they put Tommy Thayer in Ace's place, and also put Eric Singer in Peter's place, I lost interest. The original four were the Classic KISS. No one else even comes close!

I have seen and read many, many interviews over the years with Ace. I have been a fan since 1975, my older cousin introduced me, saw and heard Alive for the first time; I was hooked! Seen the reunion tour in Vancouver 1996, the band was in tip, top shape, great show! Ace is a tough interview, this young journalist cracked Ace open here, in a good way. Keep up the good work! What irks me is people talk down about people who've struggled with addiction whether it be drugs or alcohol or both. Do you actually think anyone of sound mind and body set out to be an addict? Fuck no. At 19 i was free from the death grip of my father and fuck yea, I was celebrating! Fast foward 20yrs and I realize I can't stop. It took me another 8yrs to finally get it right. I still struggle. Do you think one day I woke up and said "fuck yeah! I'm going to be an alcoholic! Doesn't that sound like fun?" Fuck no! I woke one day and I couldn't stop. It pisses me off that "educated" people act like people with addictions are sub-human or less human than they are. SMDH
Ace was my favourite member of Kiss, by far the best musician in the band, he's just so honest. That fact he doesn't dwell on past disputes and Paul and Gene being disrespectful to him in the press. Ace is just so relatable. Love the Spaceman.
Space Ace Frehley....truly a legend and the main reason I play guitar, what about "Mr Speed" a single B Side released here in Australia a really good early Ace song!
Also thank you for being the inspiration behind my learning to play the guitar, base, mandolin, and the violin. From 1973 to the present and beyond. From a black man who grew up in South East - Washington, D.C. Love you guys.✌👊
EGO! becauce Ace's solo is fkn amazing and the 3 songs on both Dynasy/Unmasked are even more amazing... then Frehley's Comet ( Ace Frehley ) is just fkn awesome.
Shock me!!!!! That song is so fun to listen to, especially the solo that he did live, back in 1977! It's a very strong solo, with some technology thrown in for great effects!
Ace has been sober for nine years. His playing inproved. His creativity jumped leaps and bounds. Pyscho circus is a masterpiece. The best studio album since the very first album.
Dressed To Kill, Rock N Roll Over, and Ace’s solo record. Ace’s solo record is my favorite. So many good songs. Ozone, Speeding Back To My Baby, Snow Blind, Rip It Out, and the overrated New York Groove, which is good but not my favorite

Great interview with someone who is way more down to earth than a guy with his talent should be. He praised the real people who helped make the album's what they were.
Ace is so underrated as a guitar player and performer..I've always liked him in Kiss and still do to this date.. I wish things had been different for him and Peter staying in the band, but people change and you just have to go with the flow..I respect all of the performers in Kiss and will always love their music..Love You Guys!! ROCK SOLDIERS!!
Hotter than Hell, my favorite album...♥️Parasite is my jam! I love you Mr. Frehley!! I had the pleasure of meeting you on my 21st birthday at a KISS convention back in 1995. I still have your autographed 8x10 glossy photograph to quote Arlo Guthrie! Keep on rockin’ good sir!!!!🤘🏽💜
Paul is very talented. I think he worked the the hardest to improve. Ace was a very good rock player by 1973 standards, but he kinda rested on his laurels. He did not keep learning/improving like a Glenn Tipton.
I like Ace..I learned to play by ear listening to basically 3 records. The first Kiss album, the fiirst Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album and Skynyrds first album. Now that was some cool learning. I had 3 different genres of music in my brain and fingers. Ace to me seems the guy who will just sit and have a beer with you. I met Gene in Columbus while working as a union stage hand. during their no make up tour. He was there when we started unloading the trucks. Just hanging around watching everything. He is very smart man and just liked to watch the mechanics of the entire process. See what they are paying for. Very business minded and also very personable. I never met any other member of Kiss but Ace seems to be the most regular guy of the bunch.

Ace was always my favorite. I play Les Paul's because of him. It is the definition of cool.
It's the definition of overpriced.
@@surfsup5757 How so? Stimmy Munny is free now. Everything is free, right???
The first three albums are my favorite. I still listen to them today .
Ace's solo was the best of them all! Different textures and tunings as well as great guitar tones. The archetypal rock guitar god album!
This maybe the most honest musician I've ever heard from...,love ya ACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EGO! becauce Ace's solo is fkn amazing and the 3 songs on both Dynasy/Unmasked are even more amazing... then Frehley's Comet ( Ace Frehley ) is just fkn awesome.
Thank you, Ace and Kiss for one: The music that is still helping me through trying times in my life. being the
Ace Frehley LEAD GUITAR!
Shock me!!!!! That song is so fun to listen to, especially the solo that he did live, back in 1977! It's a very strong solo, with some technology thrown in for great effects!

Ace needs a greatest hits style record, he has a ton of great songs.
I remember 40 years ago, trying to form a band and having difficulties because I wanted to play a couple KISS songs
Ace sure seems well adjusted as a person, my favorite by far !
Ace has been sober for nine years. His playing inproved. His creativity jumped leaps and bounds. Pyscho circus is a masterpiece. The best studio album since the very first album.
Stephens Dygert it’s a shame it’s billed as an album with the original 4 but really isn’t.
@@darthhull85 genuinely a shame at least we have into the void with all original members (I’m pretty sure please correct me if I’m incorrect)
New York city still loves our brother Ace! Boogie down Bronx baby!❤
I still listen to "Dressed to Kill" Best KISS album, hands down.
And WTF is that Love Her All I Can guitar solo?????? Awesome
I still love Ace singing Back, In The New York Groove
we like your voice Ace! thanks for all the music, keep making it!
Uhhhh, no we don't. Worse voice ever. give your head a shake . Oh and get some Q Tips too!
you're entitled to your wrong opinion dude.
We LOVE your voice!
5:10 really good question. Really like when an artist gets a question they haven't been asked before.
really interesting interview, lots of insights. especially about how Gene and Paul treated Ace
Ace seems so down to earth he is my favourite kiss member since i was a kid ace is the king of kiss he is so great . Really love your leather jacket ace
Glad I got to experience KISS on their reunion tour back in 1996, KISS army rules!
Love you Graham, you're so lucky to talk to all these amazing people!
One of the best interviews ever
Ace is a humble laid back man I grew up on kiss and I hope he is baptised and saved so he .... can play his guitar 🎸 in heaven.i so love you brother.god bless you and your family and friends you are my favorite guitar 🎸 player of all time I hope peace and love for you Paul take care of yourself and stay safe
God, gotta love Ace Frehley.
Kiss is one of the best rock n roll bands ever ace is the man kiss was the biggest part of growing up in the 70s Kiss helped many of us growing up from 7 years old now 51 kiss always has a place in my hart thank ace
Classic Ace
Ace 78 is one of my all time favorite hard rock albums! I like it more than a lot of KISS albums.
being a loudwire interviewer must be fucking awesome
Literally graham has met all the metal icons!
that awkward moment when you speak to Phil Anselmo in a normal speed and then he gives you a 0.5 speed speech.
To bad he hasn't gotten to interview James hetfield yet
Keep your biased opinions to yourself
+Rocking Androlling I don't just listen Metallica, they just happen be my favorite band, but I feel your pain when it comes to people just listening to Metallica and not other good metal bands like megadeth, Sodom, overkill, testament, destruction, annihilator, slayer, Celtic frost, death angel, anthrax, cauldron, warbringer, etc. I know you have the right to express your opinion I was just a little butt hurt, sorry bro
Great interview with someone who is way more down to earth than a guy with his talent should be. He praised the real people who helped make the album's what they were.
Ace was such a huge part of KISS sound
Wow . just fantastic to hear it from him . what a great band. i will always remember in my youth.
03:25 I got this feeling the kid was thinking sweets, not suites.
Hahahaha
I agree. He didn't get it.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that caught that
That pic of Ace on the first LP is his best look, the makeup, the hair color & facial exspression, love it !
"You can't hide the hook". Can't say that on TV now. So true.
Sad thats the PC Police for you . But the two hooks run the band .
Referring to Gene being a nice Jewish boy lol
Ace is so underrated as a guitar player and performer..I've always liked him in Kiss and still do to this date.. I wish things had been different for him and Peter staying in the band, but people change and you just have to go with the flow..I respect all of the performers in Kiss and will always love their music..Love You Guys!! ROCK SOLDIERS!!
The most honest kiss guy
Hotter than Hell, my favorite album...♥️Parasite is my jam! I love you Mr. Frehley!! I had the pleasure of meeting you on my 21st birthday at a KISS convention back in 1995. I still have your autographed 8x10 glossy photograph to quote Arlo Guthrie! Keep on rockin’ good sir!!!!🤘🏽💜
"Peter was playing in his kitty litter" LOL!
Your guitar work inspired me to pick up the guitar, and has influenced my own music. Thanks Ace.
Gene and Paul didn't praise you Ace because they were jealous as HELL! You were the most popular and the best musician!!
Agree, they used as such talented prime guitar ACE, he made kiss happen.
Paul is very talented. I think he worked the the hardest to improve. Ace was a very good rock player by 1973 standards, but he kinda rested on his laurels. He did not keep learning/improving like a Glenn Tipton.
Ace nailed it when he said that The Elder was a very good album.. but it come out at the wrong time...He was 100 correct!!!
Ace could have been a stand up comedian you can listen to his stories all day and yes great guitarist
Ace Frehley, had so much flavor with kiss... He laid a huge foundation for Rock and Roll. Great Artists.
