Thank you Louise. A great review and history of the hotel and interesting to see the single room too. I would love to spend a few days at that hotel if I was in Falmouth. 🙂🏖
@@cathydyer3774 Thanks so much Cathy! Even in the the last week they have started work in refurbishment of some of the areas that I showed. I think it’s going to be even more impressive, charming and comfortable! I hope you get a chance to stay there some time.
Thank you Tommy!! I did! It was not straightforward as the next morning there were still no trains running so I had a 25 minute walk to a bus stop where I picked up a bus to Truro Railway Station. When I got to Truro, all the trains going to Plymouth (where I needed to get to) were cancelled. Luckily I caught a late running London Paddington one and having left the hotel at 0600, got to work in Taunton at 1400 🤣
Hi Louise - this was a really interesting video, and a very well crafted video, with your trademark relaxed, and eloquent narration. Interesting, because, as you know, I went to a couple of business meetings here when I was working in Cornwall, so it was good to see more of this lovely hotel. I really like this hotel - and its slightly dated decor really appeals to me - I prefer that to a glitzy and glossy modern one. That's good that it is in local hands, and I really do hope it can be a great success and an asset to the lovely town of Falmouth. Sorry to hear about the train cancellations and additional overnight stay, but the single room did look good too, and good value at £80. Great work! Paul
Thanks Paul, pleased you enjoyed it! I just joined their Facebook group today and they have now started work on refurbishing the lounge and bar area too. I think they are going to create something very special whilst maintaining the charm and quality of the place. I agree. - I think £80 for tte single is okay, especially as it included breakfast;or in my case a big packed lunch). Thanks for your kind comments on the crafting of the video too.
That was a great review video. What a charming hotel in a lovely position & obviously very polite staff. You took it so well that your travel plans were kiboshed, bless you. Must have been so stressful only just getting to work that day, you must have been exhausted.
Thanks Faith!! It really was so charming there and all the staff that I spoke to were exceptionally kind, polite and helpful. I was not too exhausted but I have never known a train cancellation like it!! Train after train was cancelled 🤗 It was a very comfortable place to be stranded!
Good evening Madame Louise😂 you are getting very naughty releasing videos on random days, you are getting me all out of kilter. First Wednesday, now Thursday what next a Friday😂. Not that I am complaining though. I have to say Louise I always like that you seem to be on the verge of the giggles even when it's annoying news concerning your train and having to spent a further £80. Great attitude😂roll on the Sunday morning video or are you gonna be mischievous and upload it on Saturday night just to keep us on our toes😂
Haha 🤣🤣. I noticed that I was on the verge of giggles quite a lot in this when I was editing it. Thank you! Hopefully Sunday’s video will be published at the normal time, if tte weather behaves for filming this weekend 🤗

Does look lovely
Thanks for showing us around the hotel. Such a great position overlooking the sea. Breakfast looked really good. 😊
What a wonderful video Louise. I really enjoyed watching it. What a shame about your train being cancelled. I hope you got home safely in the end
