Hi Louise, What a great place to visit, I would have had to been prised away!! It always amazes me the size of the wheels too, mostly we just see the tops from the platforms. Imagine having to go under a loco when it was in steam to oil it!! An aside for you. One of the best known 1980s groups in Spain was Mecano, the singer had a lovely voice, you will find plenty on here, perhaps with subtitles in English too. Great video, well done. All the best!!
We really enjoyed watching this video, Louise. we found it extremely interesting. Thank you for sharing your hard work. I look forward to seeing more videos from you. Regards Julie and Gary.
Thank you!! It was really fantastic!! So much of interest there. I could have spent many more fascinating hours looking at all the details of the museum and the model railways. I hope you get to visit the museum.
Ah brillant! 🤗 I was out for a little jog exploring a bit of Wiltshire when it came on. I really like Caroline’s weekend shows. The music definitely put a spring in my step today!
Thanks Caroline!’ Yes, the detail was really amazing. So much effort must go into creating those models. The vending machines were lovely and nostalgic.
What a fab fun tour of this wonderful event which I didn't realise it was even on until last minute! That was fun 'driving' the engine - very realistic simulator. Lovely, upbeat video and a really great bit of editing. Not easy to do in a busy environment, but it was a good and friendly atmostphere here. Thanks for the day. Take care, Paul.
Thank you Paul! That’s lovely feedback! The simulator was amazing! So pleased you enjoyed it! It was a very friendly atmosphere there! Thanks so much for filming me a few times too!
Did you watch my visit to Steam? You followed much the same route as I did. The model layout wasn't there on my visit, or the stalls and exhibits outside. Did you wonder how they got those huge engines inside? The answer lay just outside in the form of a traverser. You wouldn't have seen that unless you walked around the rear of the building. I wonder if Paul found it?
Oh wow!! We did wonder!! Thanks so much for that information. I am not sure if he discovered that! I will have a look at your video. I don’t think I have seen it.
I do like trains yes 🤗. I think they are quite photogenic. I have taken more of an interest in them since starting the channel and have enjoyed quite a few train rides and learning bits about them.
Such a lovely museum 😍 very interesting and fun doing the train simulator! Do you think it's called a reverse stick lol 😆🤔 train modelling is such a great hobby! I used to love our model train track in the loft. Locomotives are so amazing aren't they?! Have you ever been to Beamish in the north of England Louise?
What a fantastic day out & a huge site. Great job Louise.
Thank you Faith!
Hi Louise, thank you for sharing. What a wonderful place ❤
It was! I never imagined that I would find anything to do with trains so fascinating and interesting, but it was really excellent.

Thank you David! Gosh, that would have been a very uncomfortable no going under it to oil it while it was in steam!

Thanks so much Julie and Gary!

@@SouthWestSundays You're most welcome! It was a fab day out.
Lovely Vlog Louise, well filmed and narrated, the Smile on Paul's face said it all in the train simulator, great stuff! really enjoyable watch👌👍👍👍
Thanks so much! I agree about the smile on Paul’s face!
What a interesting day,, loved the simulator bit..
So interesting!! Yes! The simulator was really fascinating! It taught me so much too!
Great video Louise, with a cameo from Paul (WW)☺️
Thank you!! Yes, it was really nice that Paul was fairly close by to be able to nip over for the day too.
Louise You have never been under a steam train before!…..well that’s not what the milkman said😂😂❤️

This was so interesting, I've got a feeling I've been here before but don't remember much about it. The simulator is a fab inclusion though!
It was super interesting! I learned so much from that Simulator! Such a good exhibit! There were so many interactive exhibits there.
I guess you like trains.
Hope you had a fine time.
I live in S/Bristol, so visited many places you explore, but never been to Swindon.

@@SouthWestSundaysyes do! It's an amazing place. We might go next year. They have a new 1940s immersive day! 😊
