    Thank you for the upload. I have an Umbrella myself, and thought I was well-versed in all things cockatoo, but I learned so much from this.

    Thank you for going to all the trouble to compile such a gorgeous video journal of all the species of cockatoo. I've been trying to explain to some people that there are more than one species. That the sulphur crested white which most people are familiar with is only one of several beautiful colored birds that are identified as cockatoos, and that cockatoos are considered one species of the larger parrot family which is made up of the larger macaws of South America, the African grey from Africa, and the smaller ring necked of India. Have I omitted any? Though I am not an owner, I do find them beautiful and fascinating.
    The first parrot I ever met was a poor featherless macaw being cared for by a relative who worked for a veterinarian. After that I met a gorgeous hyacinth macaw owned by a pet shop. Her name was Jasmine and she was a glorious bird. I have never had the desire to own a parrot as I believe they belong in the wild where they are most happy. I am content to view their magnificence from afar.

      How could anyone trust that type of bird,temperamental could cause an injury🐦

    • @Pets4life2017
      @Pets4life2017  3 года назад

      Well if we hand raise any parrot chick from a very early stage it will form a bond with the owner and will treat them as its companion. If we stop interacting with the bird for a period of time, it might go back to its wild form. That's when injuries might happen.

    My Favorite species of cockatoo is:little corella cockatoo and... is it ok if i catc this wild cockatoo with no police in Australia

    • @Pets4life2017
      @Pets4life2017  2 года назад

      Hahaha, Though would not advise that. Yes, Corellas are stunning. Always go for a captive bred bird, since it will be socialised and would be comfortable with human presence. I'm sure there are a ton of ethical breeders in Australia. Can also check out Birds Rescue and Rehabilitation centres, if they have Corellas

    You are a bit wrong, the max lifespan of a cockatiel in captivity is 20 years, not 14 years. In lucky cases, 25 years, highest record, 32 years

      Thanks for the information! I have highlighted the average lifespan of all species. Exceptions are always there :)

      Just to add: I’ve met a good number of 26-29 yr old cockatiels. A proper diet will definitely increase chances of a higher life expectancy.

      Should have also listed it's whereabouts and price range 🐦💲✅

    • @Pets4life2017
      @Pets4life2017  3 года назад

      All Cockatoo species have an Australasian distribution, ranging from the Philippines and the eastern Indonesian islands of Wallacea to New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Australia. And about the price, it varies in different parts of the world and changes almost every year. Plus I reside in India, where most of the Cockatoo species are not available, so not aware of the price range of all the species. Only the popular varieties are found here. And people might see the video after 2-3 years and comment that the prices are way off.
