hi there I'm an ex homeless man from Sydney Australia and I'm about to get my first home and once settled can't wait to build my first aviary. you have inspired that joy I felt as a kid pottin round in my uncle jacks aviaries. thanks and keep the content coming
Incredible! Always thought about building my own, I’m only 19 and I’m hoping to build one like this sometime when I’m older and more financially stable
I love this! I have Asian Blue quail budgies and diamond doves. I'm also getting some society finches tonight and I plan on adopting the pair of Orange cheeked waxbills that were dropped off at the rescue I work at :)
Waw, this is one of the best, I've ever seen, well done, i mind birds as well & you just gave my inspiration a boost, thank you for your intelligent ideas, keep it up bro 🕊🕊🕊
Just a tip if you want to mix birds in the same place make sure they're a kind of birds that can live together. Cause some kind of birds are territorial and attack other birds when they're nesting or when they lay eggs.
Where I live it gets -15 Farenheigh in the winter so I will definitely need multiple heat lamps. I was thinking some quail, finches, Quakers, and doves/pigeons. And rescue parrots.
I promised myself I'm gonna build one of these next to my future house when I grow up, hopefully with the descendants of my cockatiels in it. Edit: change my mind I've got bigger plans lmao
Budgie and Aviary Birds gets out of control!!! 😂 I believe it. I rescued 2 pairs 6 months ago and already have 12 birds!!! I’m going to have to build an aviary because it’s become to many birds to let fly around the house daily (I don’t like keeping them in the cage all of the time). Your aviaries gave me lots of inspiration though, they are beautiful!
Nice aviary, but just 2 points, natural branches that are safe are better. Sand perches can cause sores on the feet. Please remove rope toys. Birds can ingest fibres from rope toys, and get impacted. Wooden and natural toys like rattan are safer.
The posts are in but not the netting yet. To learn from a Champion is so good and only cold and rain will stop me now in Australia,s South. The plan and door will take a bit of time but it is peaceful to do and watch it all to develop. It will come but at 82y I do not have unlimited time left. Richard
After keeping a flock of about 12 or so birds, after about 30 years I now have 60+. I've always wanted to build an aviary and have FINALLY done so! I love this one, well planned. I live in California so a full shelter isn't really needed, although they do have a heated enclosed space (8' into the 17' patio plus another 12' or so outside the patio where I have about 4' of pavers and another 6.5' of dirt. I have a question about whether to put around 2" of gravel on the dirt and I saw you noted your base was wire mesh with gravel on top. Is the wire mesh flush with the dirt? Is it attached to the aviary panels on the sides? Wouldn't it break from walking on it? Thanks for your answers (I hope). Good job on yours!
Hola desde Quito Ecuador me comunico, según el video, esto si es una jaula comunitaria, en la cual están a gusto, las aves existentes que con sus coloridos y silbidos hacen el lugar más acogedor. Felicitaciones y adelante. Gracias.
My family and I are planning on building an aviary for our budgies and I think we might include a small tree for the birds to perch on as well as some swings and a birdbath
Wow! Its so beautiful! All the birds seem to have an awesome community 🙂...what do you do in the winter time??? I just got my 1st bird (Conure parrot)...so I don't know much lol
Hi there great setup :) Im a conure breeder for over 10 years now with a indoor setup.Want to build an outdoor aviary and get a mix of finches.I was thinking of building a 2ft 18mm ply cube in the corner for the winter for feeding drinking and shelter from the elements plus a heat source within like a heat lamp etc.Would this be sufficent to get the finches through the winter?
Many years ago, I had a range of aviaries and bred several different species of birds, some of which won prizes at such prestigious Cage Bird Shows as The National, which was, at that time, held at Alexandra Palace. I am, therefore, no novice at bird-keeping. My main criticism of your aviary is the floor of the outdoor flights. Smooth concrete can be hosed down and disinfected easily. Gravel over wire mesh will become a harbour for all sorts of nasties very quickly. Apart from that, very nice!
You might want to double mesh your aviary if possible, we had a sparrow hawk catch & eat a couple of our canaries through a single layer of 1x2cm mesh before, learnt the hard way!
Wow. Finches, Parakeets, i love birds. i do have these before.. Well they differ upon ther mutations.. (colour). The most common is the green and yellow. Rare are the recessive, vylets, pieds and the opals opal libes... Opal lines coverd up the whole head by colour. The usual are orange, and yellow oranges...when it comees to eyerings the mutations are known as "sable" or wild type black masked . Ther are two types the fisher and personata.... Sable is for fisher, wild is for personata. They are masked in black colour. Unlike agapornis fisheris. They are masked with beauties. Oranges yellowbulls, Albinos, lutibos.. .. But u may have find a rare colour upon personatas, the vilets, mauve, blueviolets, sables, etc.
If someone decides to keep birds the big and well furnished aviary is the kindest way to do it. I have no doubt surround by other birds, freedome to fly and protection is a good thing. I always wanted one of these and I don't believe in birds in cages. This is really different than cages. If I eveer get to have a bird again I will rescue one (not buy) there are plenty who needs homes and cannot go live in the wild. and I will either have an aviary (a dream) or let them go free inside the house if I get a parrot (rescue only)
THATS WHAT YOU CALL PERFECT? LOL
Shut up Marcuz, nobody wanna hear you talk

I would love to have an aviary one day.

I would advise having mesh under your roof panels so that if strong winds rip of your roof you will not lose any birds
Mesh is really toxic for birds
@@bradcliby4666 not if you get the correct type. There’s tonnes of different types of mesh
@@bradcliby4666 what exactly do you think is on the sides of the aviary???? Mesh.....

For a complete perfect aviary you need a security door at any entrance coming from outside
Absolutely beautiful!
