Nice to meet you. I am Japanese. My name is Jota Inui. I was a teacher for 27 years, but I had a stroke and had to quit my beloved job. Among the cerebral infarctions, I had a medullary infarction that was inoperable. And now, I am creating woodwork art works using world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I have a variety of disabilities due to cerebral infarction. The right face has pain from being cut with multiple kitchen knives. And the left lower leg was left with a disability that was burned by the gas burner. Except when I'm sleeping, I'm living in a living hell of intense pain. In the living hell of that pain, I am creating fishing charms and woodwork art works using the world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I watched you and your family on RUclips and was deeply moved. Because you and your family are facing a very difficult task. And because you and your family are always working hard to make your dreams come true. Your dreams are amazing. When I look at your work, I feel like I am creating a work of art. Seeing you and your family work so hard made me feel warmed up and made me think that I need to work even harder. Even though I am disabled, I have much to learn from you and your family's way of life. You guys are such wonderful human beings. I respect you with all my heart. And you and your family give me the strength to survive. Sincerely thank. thank you very much. I sincerely hope that he will continue to play an active role in the future.
My son got campylobacter when he was 18 months old. We didn't realise until it was too late, in terms of his small intestine being completely destroyed. He is now 14 and after years of dietary healing to fix his gut and one vital part, that being CBD oil to really fix his gut, he is by the Grace of God pretty much all good. He does have residual sensory issues in terms of not liking certain textures to touch his skin or certain foods because of the textures but otherwise all good. We gave him pro and pre biotics, iron, digestive enzymes and CBD oil as well as bone broths and fermented foods. Prior to do the dietary things, he started having seizures but once we got on top of the diet, his seizures went away and he has been seizure free now for 5 years. May you have a speedy recover

Oh my gosh Justin i remember that and it just broke my heart for you. You have the best wife and kids. They all chipped in and you made it through with the grace of your family and God.
Sat through the entire video hanging onto every word. When we finally get to our home in northeast Tennessee, I’m hoping we can someday visit North Carolina and if we are blessed, to be able to meet you. Filled with gratitude.
Through sickness, health, and birth the year 2021 was still amazing. Life is good! May the year 2022 bring your family a brighter, healthier year, filled with opportunities.
Congratulations on not only surviving such a trying year but actually THRIVING and accomplishing so much! Baby Henry's birth is far and away the most wonderful, exciting event of the year!!! You are indeed blessed with five amazing, beautiful chidlers! Wishing you good health, prosperity and much happiness in the new year (with maybe a little less drama)! ❤️
Justin. I've been watching y'all for 7-8 years now. And I absolutely adore your family. And as a preacher I just wanted to say that I love you guys. And your dad of course can hear you. Also if it's God's will, not your will, not Satans will, but God's will for you to get a message from your father or to hear his voice, then you will certainly hear it!! Don't deny God's blessings over your life, getting confused during the battle. Remember only attack and defend when you're leader tells you too. When God tells you to. Remember we want God's will. Not our own, we're so fascinated by our own objectives and our own will, that we forget about God's will. And we forget that we have to freely give our will over, for God's. I hope this blesses you and your family. And you've been a wonderful teacher for me over the past 7 years or so. God bless you all! Remember it's not about the earthly path, but rather the journey with God on our way to his kingdom that matters!
I had all these things running through my head that I wanted to say throughout the video. So I’m going to keep it short. Your dad is proud of you, I’m sure of it. Heck I’m proud of you. Thank you for sharing.
Your kids are the best. It’s hell having pain that you can’t control. I’m right there with you. I don’t have any farm animals but I do have a little garden. Can’t wait to plant it. It’s still to cold here in 6a-6b. We are going to have a really cold night this week. Love you guys
I just cried for a straight 10 minutes during the barn tour. The legacy, and wanting to keep things in the family while you are still too young to have the vision. Having that respected. I think of the property that has sold after 70 years in my family, and it makes me somber. Those choices weren't made with legacy in mind. However, maybe it will come around in a different way. Thank you for sharing this. I also cried AGAIN while watching henry's birth just as I did the first time y'all shared the story of his birth with us. Thank you for your transparency and your storytelling, an example for a better way. Not only as a steward of the land, but of parents. With chronic illnesses none the less. It is easy to feel defeated when I am faced with my own chronic illness episodes and moving between spaces of thriving and surviving. But we persist forward. You give me encouragement that it is still worth it. So thank you.
I felt this. Oh baby, the beauty of all this is that this is all material at the end of the day. You can always find creative ways to build a smaller operation and start allover. If you have younger more impressionable family members, you can train. There's money in all of this! #GodBlessYourHeart as we get older and maybe a bit less capable teaming up with some new blood is a great way to grow. You learn alot about yourself and everything else. 💯 GoodLuck!
Just had to comment say I felt this too! My family land was sold around 8 years ago after being in the family for a little over 100 years. It was sold without the legacy in mind and without hearing from those of us, like me, who had the dream of continuing the legacy.
Please look into urine therapy im going to look like a scammer but there's no one to profit except yourself from your waters, and it cures EVERY SINGLE THING! Look into cate stillman, she's a great source of info.
There's another you tuber that loved her childhood home/farm and it was heart breaking for her when she was young and her parents divorced and she had to move and then the property was sold. Then when she was in her 30's she saw that her childhood home was up for sale and she bought it! Now she's farming and raising her family there. You never know..one day it may indeed come back around. :)
I had reactive arthritis following a breast infection. I had a 6 week old baby at the time. Probably a staphylococci infection I was told. It began about one to two weeks after recovering from the mastitis when one morning I could not get out of bed. Joints affected dotted around. I had a 5 year old daughter with chronic juvenile arthritis who had difficulty walking any distance and a baby but no animals. I can remember when my hands were swollen and weak in the night using my teeth to grab her clothing to pull her closer to feed. Fortunately the symptoms subsided gradually and after about 18 months I was completely back to normal. So pleased to see you are recovering. Love your family farm.

Justin, you and your family are such an inspiration! The optimism and perseverance you all show is beautiful to see. Thank you for taking us with you on your homesteading journey, through all the ups and downs.
I had reactive arthritis a couple of years ago. I woke up and couldn't walk a week after the flu shot. I remembered all that pain and switching locations and the year and a half to feel 'normal' again. I've never met anyone who has had it before so it was very validating hearing your experience. I found that everything I ate would either flare it up or help to ease the inflammation. Salmon was my best friend. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis so it was difficult for the doctors to figure out. I wish you the best. I appreciate all your and your family's work and for sharing it with us.
Interesting, glad you're doing better by the sounds of it! I wonder what exactly it was in Salmon that helped. I'm sure tried supplementation with Omega's and "fish oil" and clearly found what worked for you. Our bodies are such complex systems, it's really wild when you think about it.
The wonders of your children are so great to see , the progress is wonderful .Cheers to another wonderful chapter on the farm. Live , Laugh and Love Rhodes family , we'll be there....
I love love love seeing your kids be so hands on. We have our kids be completely hands on with everything on our homestead and its incredible to see them light up as they accomplish things. The pride they build in being apart of something incredible just warms the soul
I found over the last year I could not keep up with your videos as they are so frequent, therefore I was just watching one every month or so. This was great to watch to kind of summarise your year and bring me up to speed with the major developments.
This vlog is awesome, thanks to Bri and Art I now can enjoy another vlog, your family is amazing. I’m a 77 year old lady from the mountains of West Virginia and miss the hills very much, I now live in a small town called Middletown in Pennsylvania
Regarding the carabiner for the hay shed: the threaded one would've worked, you might have had to use a proper sized wrench to get it on there, but my point is Justin there will come a day (if not already) where you realize Jonah is teaching you more than you teaching him. I think his young mind is learning twice as fast.
@@annetteallynaguilar-gomez2082along with the rest us: ALL the kids as they grow up more get ideas that Papa can utilize while he can have room to think what THEY need in their childhood guidance & education in developing character, etc.
What a jam-packed year! And ending it on a high note and looking to 2022 with excitement and hope. God is GOOD!! Love you guys, thanks for all you do for our wonderful A+ community!
Sharing successes and 'opportunities for improvement' is a great way to encourage others. Looking back at each year as we go along helps us build a sustainable life. At 69 years old, I still learn every day on my farm. Joint pain is a fact of life for those with a few years on them... you just keep finding new ways to do the things you love. Glad you got a reprieve.
The good thing about the cows being on bedding...the manuer with a layer of bedding, gets warm as it decomposes...let it build up.....leave it in until they go back out to pasture...if you start indoors as the weather gets bad the layer gets deeper and warmer with the season going into winter....with the manuer and bedding as the animals go into winter weather, its warm to lay on...keep clean layer added over manuer piles....no need for a complete layer every time ..you can just cover fresh piles.......with hay or chips.
We all have a thorn of some kind. I applaud you for bearing yours with strength and humility! 2022 is my family's 1st year of homesteading. We bought our property late 2021. I have been learning from you and your family for the last few years. Thank you for all you have done!
Y'all are really blessed. Your children are Amazing Unique individuals with good skills and talents. Love the continuum of generations, passing wisdom and knowledge with inspiration. May God keep and bless all of you. Hugs 🤗
What a great look back on the year! What a roller coaster it was. One of the highlights of my year was being able to visit your farm…yes, I came to help with a butchering, but I will forever hold that memory in my heart with such warm feelings and how your family has altered the course of mine and my family’s life for the better!! Bless you!!
wow and your carrying it on not only for you and your family but you teaching so many of us out here allot that can be very helpful for future homesteaders and letting us out here too and to benefit your family too
Wow! What a year 😊. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge and your beautiful family with the rest of us homestead loving people. Blessings from Illinois.
At first when I saw the time on the video I was like this is too long but I play it , and it was so interesting that I wanted to watch more. Your family and friends are truly team players. Jonah is going to be a great man, you're teaching them life skills and the best part is they're having fun doing it
Seeing you with that walker, hobbling around in excruciating pain, I can relate now. My husband has had degenerative disc disease for 30 years and now at 69, it is far advanced, plus his knee needs a replacement, but he has had to care for me since Oct 2 when I broke my left leg in a tree-cutting accident and a week later, had surgery to stabilize the bones. Never felt such pain in my 65 years. I am walking with a walker now, sometimes without it and looking like Walter Brennan in the old movies. Made me glad I was in decent shape prior to that. But our plans, MY plans, for a fabulous herb and flower garden, all the seeds I have, may have to be postponed until 2023. He cannot prep that garden (the vegetable garden is fine, but *my* garden needs a lot of preparation b4 spring) and I surely can't do it. I'm devastated that all these dreams have to be postponed. Life is what happens when you're making other plans, BUT the accident could have been much worse....I could be dead. The tree snapped up over my head, brushed my head, literally, came down on my right shoulder and knocked me onto my back. I could be gone from this world and though my eternity is set, I would have left my poor husband alone on the homestead to care for gardens and the chickens I love. So, I guess we just have to go with the flow, do what we can and skip what we cannot. It's just us, no help, all on us.
I absolutely loved this review , A look back at 2021... Justin with all the sadness and strife that we all faced in 2021... it was such a joy to watch this whole family working together, happy faces and making things work out ! It was just wonderful !! and of course The birth of Henry was so very special !!!
I just found your channel... All I have to say.. Is I'm so glad I found it!!!! Love love your story!!!! How awesome your home and property, your baby being born!!!! I just love it!!!! Everything!!! You are an amazing husband!! Taking care of your wife the way you do. Congrats on your baby boy!!!!
I always enjoy watching you and your family. The way you treat your children is heartwarming! I wish more people in this country would do the same. Praying for you and your family. God bless you. Keep on doing the good work you’re doing
Hello, I was watching your episode were Justin was suffering from pain. I had 3 out of 5 markers for Lymes, so the dr. Said not Lymes. I suffered for 10yrs with this mystery illness. Finally a infectious disease dr gave me fluconizole, I saw so much much of myself in your story. The cane, not being able to walk and the pain! Now nearly 2yrs of this medication and I went off 2 months ago and I feel like a new person, I lost a lot of muscle so in the process of rebuilding my body. I pray that your healing journey is quick, trust me when I say, “I feel your pain”. I hope you and your family will continue to flourish! God Bless.
As a beef and sheep farmer here in the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand, I can tell you we don't interfere with the sheep. The more you intervene, the more likely you will breed sheep that are weak. At the moment my husband works on a 2,300 hectare Station. The average lamb numbers are around 20,000 each season, so as you can imagine, the stronger the sheep the better. There is no way you can pander to sheep that can't just give birth. I've been following you guys for a long time now and am impressed at how far you have come through all the highs and lows.😊
That was a roller coaster of a year for you Justin, yet you made it through with so much resilience. Love is the glue that holds the Rhodes family together. Thank you for sharing your journey with us all. Watching you keep going through all the ups and downs has helped me and know doubt others too, make it through our own highs and lows. Looking forward to 2022 and now I'm vlogging too! Yay!
I am surprised you did not mention Arun. He seems to have been a solid support for your family for a long time. Not trying to be mean I promise, but I admire Arun.
Truly inspiring videos, everyone is happy in the life of new beginnings on the farm. Congrats on Henry, he is adorable and admirable. Bless all of you adorable family. Thanks for sharing. A great movie about life and love. Thank you!! Hope your better walking these days,,
this was really so beautiful to watch, been enjoying this fantastic family for a whole year, it started with a clip of the birth of sweet Henry in the car, I saw it on my timeline and I haven't missed an episode since. love this channel. greetings from the Netherlands
Great video! You all came a long way in a year!! Conquered so much with the pole barn, Henry’s arrival, sickness, clearing land, the people center, the new Kobata farm equipment, and the books!! Here’s wishing you all a Happy and prosperous New Year 🎉🎊
November 2023.. The past year, you and your family have accomplished so many wonderful things, and in doing so, your children have learned some very valuable life lessons and how to live off the land, good land stewardship & good animal husbandry.. Bravo... Soon, you will be living in a remodeled new home.. couldn't have happened to a more deserving family... ❤️.....The birth of Henry Wow! Amazing...
Arun helped you plenty. Do not kid yourself and a simple thanks would have done just fine. How odd to say we are alone without him . You are alone plenty.
It saddens me to think about how the best helper may not have been fully appreciated. I hope there is no truth to the negative comments about Arun and his parting the Rhodes' homestead. I believe there must be a misunderstanding. Surely, the parting was agreable. I can't imagine either Rebekah or Justin being ungrateful to such a long time friend and helper. Let's stop the back-and-forth immediately. After all no one was actually there to see the changes that evolved. Right?
Justin, I am so very proud of you and your family as you have accomplished so much over the past year. I am over 30 years older than you and I watch your channel wishing I could go back in time and work my own farm the way your family has been doing. I love the way you get others involved in your work to make it a learning experience for them. I'm glad your feeling better now and I know what pain you have been fighting as I have been fighting rheumatoid arthritis for the last 10 years or longer. Keep up the great work. Blessings for the new year to you and your beautiful family.
I'm so happy for your families success. Your creating generational wealth through this business and bigger yet a legacy for your children and there children's children. May God continue to bless you all.

Avoid the raw liver next time. I'm glad you are better and didn't give up! So glad for your family that you kept the kids home and kept going.
What great memories, and Sir Henry came in with a BANG. Justin, beautiful one and family y’all are such an inspiration to everyone. Blessings! 👏👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯💯❤️
Please look into urine therapy, Cate stillman on RUclips is a great resource for solid info. Changed my life. :)
You are raising some awesome kids. That son is smart and a good worker. It is fun watching.
We used to call my Dad’s father Big Daddy too!! 😊 This made me happy to hear ❤❤❤
The wonders of your children are so great to see , the progress is wonderful .Cheers to another wonderful chapter on the farm. Live , Laugh and Love Rhodes family , we'll be there....
I really like watching all this ! You are so blessed! 💜 Blessings from Montana.
I sure love how sentimental you are. It touches my heart.
Lilly is a charming, darling, hardworking girl and I am so sure you and the beautiful one are so pleased with and proud of her.
Congratulations, Rhodes family on being an inspiring team🙏😇👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕
God Bless for 2023
I love love love seeing your kids be so hands on. We have our kids be completely hands on with everything on our homestead and its incredible to see them light up as they accomplish things. The pride they build in being apart of something incredible just warms the soul
Wow. This pole barn build is impressive. The ingenuity & teamwork is a thing to behold.
Jonah is the most amazing young man!
He is so knowledgeable and yet soft spoken... good heart.
I found over the last year I could not keep up with your videos as they are so frequent, therefore I was just watching one every month or so. This was great to watch to kind of summarise your year and bring me up to speed with the major developments.
Same here! It's hard to keep up with all of my favorite Channels!
This vlog is awesome, thanks to Bri and Art I now can enjoy another vlog, your family is amazing. I’m a 77 year old lady from the mountains of West Virginia and miss the hills very much, I now live in a small town called Middletown in Pennsylvania
Your older boys (who I see the most of)are such good farmers.
My oldest is 3. She just said "I'm a big girl, where did that other girl that was climbing go?" Your kids are already an inspiration to mine 😄
Regarding the carabiner for the hay shed: the threaded one would've worked, you might have had to use a proper sized wrench to get it on there, but my point is Justin there will come a day (if not already) where you realize Jonah is teaching you more than you teaching him. I think his young mind is learning twice as fast.
True! My children have tought me so much and now my grandchildren are gold mines!
Good point. Listen to Jonah.
@@annetteallynaguilar-gomez2082along with the rest us: ALL the kids as they grow up more get ideas that Papa can utilize while he can have room to think what THEY need in their childhood guidance & education in developing character, etc.
Jonah is special....I've seen that since this started. They all are but Jonah is a prophet who DOES NOT RUN!
The life birth was absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work!
What a jam-packed year! And ending it on a high note and looking to 2022 with excitement and hope. God is GOOD!! Love you guys, thanks for all you do for our wonderful A+ community!
Such a BEAUTIFUL family 🥰
Sharing successes and 'opportunities for improvement' is a great way to encourage others. Looking back at each year as we go along helps us build a sustainable life. At 69 years old, I still learn every day on my farm. Joint pain is a fact of life for those with a few years on them... you just keep finding new ways to do the things you love. Glad you got a reprieve.
I watched this entire video. I have watched the part your dad's farm twice. I even sent it to my dad. It really touched my heart. Thank you.
Bless you!!
I miss Arun. I wish him many blessings
Where did Arune go?
@@judya.shroads8245 India
I miss him too!
Me too
I'm surprised as close to the family he was there was not a lot of talk about him leaving or farewell party or anything.
wow and your carrying it on not only for you and your family but you teaching so many of us out here allot that can be very helpful for future homesteaders and letting us out here too and to benefit your family too
YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE BLESSED....AMEN FROM C.W. CHICAGO
Wow! What a year 😊. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge and your beautiful family with the rest of us homestead loving people. Blessings from Illinois.
No more raw chicken liver in 2022 Justin ! Keep well and have a great vacation everyone
My whole heart hurt for you when you cried! The barn came out beautiful. It’s an amazing way to pass down his memory.
At first when I saw the time on the video I was like this is too long but I play it , and it was so interesting that I wanted to watch more. Your family and friends are truly team players. Jonah is going to be a great man, you're teaching them life skills and the best part is they're having fun doing it
Y'all are an inspiration, truly uplifting. Beautiful people growing on beautiful land and healthy critters. Thank you for what you do
Man I miss Arune. Please keep on Glorying Our Only Creator. 😁
I wish I lived near you to help you out, but I'm in Canada. Wishing you a speedy recovery, all the Best!
@@marneywood3271 Thank you!! That's very nice. Many of my ancestors came from Canada, including my maternal grandmother.

Call your local church ask for help!!
I wish you the best. Maybe someone can help you. Hope so.
I absolutely loved this review , A look back at 2021... Justin with all the sadness and strife that we all faced in 2021... it was such a joy to watch this whole family working together, happy faces and making things work out ! We are missing Arun! When will he be back? I love it when children see a structure and want to climb all over it. So fun!
God Bless.
I love you brother. I wish I could give my kids this life. I love that you include even the youngest. My kind of man.
My goodness this was beautiful to watch...for the 7th or so time today after this many years. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
I'm happy to see ur doing good again. Best wishes for u and ur family from germany!
Man! You giving your dad that tour, really tore me up. Keep your chin up.
Gives me hope. God Bless America!
Man you gotta love Jonah’s work ethic and his care for the family homestead. I hope he heals up properly after the dirtbike incident. Young Ranchstar
I enjoy watching this
Thanks for summary of the 2021, it was great to see again huge projects, events, struggles, successes. Keep going, you all are doing amazing job :)
Truly inspiring videos, everyone is happy in the life of new beginnings on the farm. Congrats on Henry, he is adorable and admirable. Bless all of you adorable family. Thanks for sharing. A great movie about life and love. Thank you!! Hope your better walking these days,,
BEST EVER COMPILATION, DO IT AGAIN! You guys made it a bit better for us all. Thanks You Rhodes and Arun.
this was really so beautiful to watch, been enjoying this fantastic family for a whole year, it started with a clip of the birth of sweet Henry in the car, I saw it on my timeline and I haven't missed an episode since. love this channel. greetings from the Netherlands
Loved this video!!! Seeing all those milestones. Also the gathering barn tour and talking to your dad through it ❤️
Diesel is my nickname for ur blessed son. Hear comes 2020, blessed u guys
All the best for you and your family in 2022! May it be a blessed one!
Your vision is legendary. If I was a young woman with my 5 daughters I would love to use the ideals and ideas of your teachings.
❤️.....The birth of Henry
Wow! Amazing...
Always brings me joy and inspiration watching your videos! Thanks for everything you do Justin and fam!!!!
Arun helped you plenty. Do not kid yourself and a simple thanks would have done just fine. How odd to say we are alone without him . You are alone plenty.
Disrespect it speaks volumes
Yes. A simple thank you for the years- instead treated with disrespect to an audience of close to a million.
GOOD LUCK. BE SAFE. BE. WELL. THE WHOLE. FAMILY. JUSTIN.
I pray for your continued recovery and success in this journey for you and your family!
